We stayed here on our Wedding Night - we booked this two nights before we were due to get married as we had completely forgotten to find some where to stay!
We had a lovely room with a view of the gardens. The hotel had given us champagne & chocolates - that was a lovely touch. The cost for the room inc a full English breakfast was £80, great value.
The hotel also has a swimming pool, gym and offers a range of exercise classes. I have tried the aqua-robics and boxercise classes as well as having used the gym - these were all on different occasions as we only live ten minutes from the hotel.

Down for a wedding with my wife and daughter, we were recommended this hotel. We paid £135 per night and were left a little disappointed.
We arrived at around 9 p.m. with a very tired little girl. We checked in and my wife took our daughter to our room while I unloaded the car. Now as anyone with experience of travelling with an infant will know, there's a fair bit of luggage involved. The receptionist simply watched as I made half a dozen trips from the car, and when I finally had completed unloading I couldn't find anyone to ask for a porter! Several more round trips to our room followed.
The hotel is nice enough, all in good condition and the room was very clean and spacious. We had requested a travel cot and this was all set up when we arrived. I had expected that a 4 star hotel would include a mini-bar in the room, but apparently you have to pay a £30 upgrade to a "premium room" for that!
On our first morning at breakfast we witnessed a female member of staff being fairly rude to a co-worker of European origin, berating him in a fairly loud, inappropriate and unproffesional way.
On our second day's breakfast this same female member of staff showed us to our table while another brought us a high chair. While we were still in the process of squeezing my daughter into the high chair, this waitress decided that the time had come to take our order as we'd clearly already taken up enough of her time. Slightly harassed my wife asked if she could have a few moments to have a look at the menu, to which she stated she would wait. She then turned her back on us and just stood there. Possibly the rudest member of staff I've ever had the misfortune to come across.
I would like to state the majority of the staff were lovely and ever helpful, but this woman's attitude was just unreasonable and does the hotel no credit.
We also used the pool at the hotel which was also very nice, although watch out for the steep slope at the back end.
If we had to return to the same area I'd say we'll likely find alternative accommodation, just to see if we can get better value for the money spent.
