Royal Berkshire Ramada Plaza Hotel

Booked through the Legoland web site, location of the hotel was excellent to the park- on first arrival the surrounds looked perfect with beautiful gardens to enjoy. Although not really a cater for kids type of hotel more of a business person or adults type hotel. The overall appearance of the hotel is fine my only complaint would be the pool area not very appealing, which was very poor, as it was an essential part of my selection process. With the size of the grounds there is plenty of space to redevelop this area,if wanting to continue affiliation with Legoland, which is predominately for families I would recommend looking at the facilities of other hotels one that comes to mind is Cameron house - Loch Lomond which appeals to families on holiday, I certainly would not have associated this hotel with Legoland.
The Staff were certainly very pleasant but during our four days stay, not one member of staff took the time to communicate with my boys, in anyway, not even to ask them how they were enjoying Legoland or if there was anything at the hotel to entertain them. Certainly don't think they appreciate children been on holiday would enjoy some interaction.
Would recommend this hotel to business colleagues, but not families looking for facilities to occupy children when at the hotel.
I have to say that this is a typical British thing, being on holiday with family should not mean having to opt for a lesser quality of accommodation- just facilitate Children when building hotels!
