The Holiday in Reading is a fairly new hotel which sits on the banks of the Thames. Many of the rooms overlook the river.
Parking is a little tight, but there is additional space nearby. The room was quite large and was well furnished with modern fittings and fixtures. Everything was very clean and in a good state of repair.
The breakfast buffet, was very enjoyable with a good selection of both hot and cold choices. The hotel has a gym and a swimming pool, although the pool isn't very large. The staff were friendly and helpful. All in all a pleasant stay.

Located by the river Thames, this hotel has the advantage of a lovely setting, something not easy to find in Reading. The hotel is beautifully decorated with superb facilities. The room we stayed in was excellent, with views of the River, the staff were very friendly and professional. The Restaurant serves fine food but do note its not cheap.
The only downside is the lack of parking in front of the hotel, but this is overcome by additional parking near by.
Overall very good, and if I’m ever back in Reading this would be the place I’d stay in.

Really a very nice hotel clean and very modern, has the added advantage of being close to the motorway for easy getting too plenty of free parking too.
This hotel is aimed mainly at the business traveller and as such offers all that can be wanted to unwind at the end of the day, with a good gym and pool facility.
Rooms are very comfortable and clean as expected from this hotel chain. Nice restaurant with reasonable food and has a lounge bar, there is also added on a bar that has many TV’s for sports etc, but kitted out like a normal pub and has that pub atmosphere to it too.
Only down side on this hotel is the price it can be a little on the very expensive side if that is ok to say what I mean is its expensive so be careful to shop around and check out the hotels web site for the best price available and book early.
I guess some of the cost is due to the fact of the London expanse and location on the busy M4 corridor.
