Daskalos Apartments Reviews
" Nice but loud. "

Daskalos Apartments and Studios are very pleasant. We had a studio, a big airy room that had a separate bathroom and kitchen, which was well equipped and very clean, and we paid for air-conditioning (40 euros for the week) as it was very hot when we were there.
The family who own and run the place are very friendly and helpful. There is a pool and a bar where you can drink and eat,(the food is good but quite expensive), but music is played at top volume all day by the pool which drives you mad after a while. Luckily you can walk straight onto the beach from the bar, so you can escape to the more relaxing sounds of the sea!
Kavos itself is either a dream or a nightmare, depending on what you are looking for. It is a Brits abroad resort and if you want to spend your nights getting hammered this is the place for you. If you are looking for genuine greek food and culture it is almost impossible to find, but there are a couple of restaurants on the beach, and in particular the Falconera serves really good food at a reasonable price - not cheap but maybe this is because the euro exchange rate is so bad at the moment.
If Daskalos was located at another resort it would be brilliant and probably at the quieter ends of the season it is lovely, but not recommended for anyone hoping to find traditional Greece.

" Couldn't complain about anything "

I arrived back in the UK yesterday after a week in Kavos staying at the Daskalos Studios with my boyfriend, sister and her partner. What can I say, they were brilliant. In all there were 12 of us on holiday for the week but 8 stayed in the Armenos and 2 in the Trubukos Rooms (most awful place ever!) and we by far had the best accomodation. The pool was clean, the bar served great food and the owners their son George were so nice. The rooms are pretty basic but that is what you get in Greece for SC. Kitchen was enough to cook food, make tea and fridge cold for drinks. There was constant boiling hot water to shower in and it was just clean. The location is great, you walk through a gate by the pool and you are on the beach. There are 2 supermarkets on the doorstep for everything you need. I was worried we might be a bit far out from the main strip but we weren't at all. It probably took 15 minutes to walk there in heels at night but you leave the hotel and get to the restaurants, then the mini strip/bars and then the main strip so you can ensure that you will get a good nights sleep! I always read reviews before going on holiday so thought I should put one on here for Daskalos as I couldn't find many before we went. I would definately recommend it and would definately go again!!
Advice: Fab place, great nightlife and full of friendly people! Drinks and food are really cheap!
Activities: Eat at The Village Taverna! Lush food and greek dancing!

" The Daskalos apartments in Kavos are... "

The Daskalos apartments in Kavos are excellent!! The rooms are a bit basic but if you're going for a week long party then all you really need is a bed, a fridge to keep the beer cold and a shower to freshen up!!
The owners( Yanniss, Bella, and young George) couldn't be any nicer!! They make excellent food and are always at hand if they are ever needed! The rooms are nice and clean - not all of the rooms have air conditioning but a fan can be hired.
The apartments are situated right on the beach. Since the Euro came in things have got a little bit dearer - a pint of Amstel beer at the pool bar costs around 4 Euros. Out in the pubs and clubs you can expect to pay 5 or 6!
Food can be cheap but you just need to look around and find the right places. All in all the holiday was excellent and the apartments were a big part of it!!

" We got to Corfu Town Centre at night,... "
Submitted By: Miss LS Lewis
We got to Corfu Town Centre at night, so we didn’t have much time to take in our hotel room really but when we woke up in the morning we got the chance to have a look around properly.
The Hotel room was really basic: Two single beds for me and my partner to sleep on, 1 sheet each, 1 pillow each and no TV. NO tissue or ANYTHING to be put down the toilet, tissue to be placed in bin next to toilet, One set of sheets and towels per week, cleaner to empty tissue bin daily, whether you are in bed or not! The biggest surprise of all was that we had half a roll of toilet roll in the room when we arrived and once that ran out we were told that we were to supply our own for the rest of the week!
The actual resort of Kavos itself was lovely, the sun, sea and sand was beautiful and the food was amazing (and Cheap). On average for a Full English fry up was about 1 Euro and 90 Cents (Very Cheap). English brands tended to be more expensive so stick to house spirits. Also we found a few shops that sold 200 cigarettes for 8 Euros!! which is about £5 (Yes 200 cigarettes!!) A litre of Vodka was about 5 Euros.
There was all sort of activities to keep people of all ages occupied e.g: Jet ski- from 40 Euros, Pedalo- from 10 Euros for 1 Hour, Parasailing-from 50 Euros.
I'd also definitely recommend the trip to the Blue Lagoon, which cost 26 Euros but the sight were absolutely breathtaking. A barbecue on a private bay was also supplied and we stopped in the middle of the Blue Lagoon where it is possible to see the bottom of the ocean. The trip lasts for the whole day so id recommend it towards the end of your holiday!
Overall we had a good time but the only thing that spoilt it was how basic the room was.
