Holiday Inn Ashford North Hotel

After a business meeting was arranged last minute, we booked this Holiday Inn the same day as our stay. We got a good deal by booking direct with the hotel as a very last minute booking for £65 per room inc breakfast. It was easy to find with plenty of parking. Check in was simple, we were asked what time we'd like a wake up call and were in our room within 5 minutes. For some reason the 'Oyster Shell Restaurant' was closed. stayed here on route to early morning channel crossing. Very good quality room think recent refurb no complaints here. Its a 5 min car journey from ashford there is a little pub opposite that looked nice but closed early on sundays... Just a word of warning dont bother eating at the restaurant it is possibly the worst food i have ever had topay for... They do a special meal deal of an evening obviously because they are looking for people to fill their restaurant.. the food was very bad top tip either go to the pub which looked nice... more

This hotel is well above the Holiday Inn norm. We had an Executive room at the Winter Sale rate--the room was spacious and well furnished in modern style. Excellent bathroom. Plenty of working space, though the lighting could have been better. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent in the informal restaurant. A good overnight stop on the way to and from the Channel Tunnel or ferries.

We stayed at this Hotel for one night to attend a wedding and were very pleasantly surprised by the standard. As the website says it has been refurbished, the rooms (ours were the standard) were spacious with very nice furnishings, well decorated throughout. We paid £50 for a spring deal which included breakfast, what good value. Would recommend this hotel anytime.
