" This is a very new and smart looking... "

This is a very new and smart looking hotel, as you would expect from a large number of Accor's purpose built hotels. This is by no means the cheapest hotel in Wolverhampton, but at £66 per night, you do get more than enough for your money.

Firstly the location is wonderful, with great access to Birmingham (only £1.50 return on an evening) and the train journey into Birmingham New Street lasting only 20 mins, It is very close to the center of Wolverhampton also, within walking distance, which is especially handy when staying in the city for Business as I did. The hotel is also very near the motorways.
The only problem i experienced with the location, is that it is built on a one-way system and have to go around the right way in order to reach the entrance, which may be simple in daylight, but when arriving after dark is not so simple to follow directions.

There is a free car park, with barriers and CCTV so you can feel safe leaving your car outside. Upon entering the hotel you see a very bright reception with 3 desks in front of you, with the bar area, complete with sofas and tables and chairs to your left.

The staff are overly helpful and get you checked in, and up to your room, very quickly indeed.

The rooms are very spacious, i believe they are slightly different, but my room came with a very large (king size?) bed, sofa, desk, hanging area, large flat screen tv/computer, tee and coffee making facilities, bathroom with separate toilet, both private to the room.

The bed was particularly comfortable, and would have been nice to have separate toilet and bathroom if traveling with family or as a couple, however i was alone.
The tv doubles as a computer, which you can either use alone or attach your laptop to, and use the hotels internet at a rather inflated price of £2.99 an hour, but also gives the availability of movies and such.

Breakfast was included in the room price for me, and the restaurant was very light and modern, the staff were friendly and showed you quickly to a seat and offered a hot drink.
The breakfast itself was in the style of a buffet, and there was quite a selection both for vegetarians, but also for those who prefer a full English. The food tastes fresh and is hot unlike so many buffets.

The restaurant, other than breakfast has quite a range, but at a price, each menu item seems to be around the £15 pound mark, with the usual inflated hotel drink price on top, but food is fairly good.

Only problem i had with this hotel is that my room was oposite the lifts on the second floor and so was woken a few times throughout the night by people using the lift and by the maids pushing trolleys, also some walls are a little thin and you can hear the flushing of toilets in the nearby rooms.

Overall i would recommend this hotel.

" Very smart looking hotel inside.... "

Very smart looking hotel inside. Handy for motorway access and to the train station only 5 minute walk. Good connections to Birmingham.

The room was pretty large and well equipped with all the little extras - tea, coffee, biscuits, sky, ipod connection, iron, and board etc.

I stayed in a double room and it had a double bed and a sofa that you could pull out and make another bed. So I and the girlfriend tried both. Both nice and easy to sleep on.

The room had a modern look to it and nicely decorated and very clean. Bathroom was clean and had the usual toiletries.

The bar was nice and had a good range of drinks.

Didn't try the pool as it was outside and late December.

Well worth the trip to a Novotel.

Nice, smart looking hotel which is handy for motorway access. The room was pretty large and well equipped with all the little extras - tea, coffee, biscuits, sky, ipod connection, iron and board etc.

The room was nicely decorated and very clean. I didn't try the restaurant, but it looked nice and the bar was OK as well. The bathroom was clean and had the usual toiletries although it could've done with more towels.

The staff were friendly and helpful. All this for £50! A good choice if you're in the area.
