The hotel itself weren’t that bad but the service was terrible.
I booked bed and breakfast for 3 nights. The 1st morning we got there early but was a little disappointed, the 2nd day got there 5 minutes late, even though there was still food on buffet table, we were ushered away by some unfriendly old waiter to the snack bar.
Once there we discovered there were no breakfast items to buy, only drinks and lunches and they expected us to pay.
On the last morning we had to fly at 8.20, so I told reception who didn’t seem bothered to help, as an afterthought I just thought the staff should have been a bit more considerate to two tired tourists, by suggesting a packed lunch or saying help yourselves and take to your room as we need to clear away!

Hotel Mediterraneo put us here as they had no rooms even though we had booked. Our room at the Rocamar was grubby, had an electric socket hanging off the wall, the fridge was disgusting and there was bare electric cable on one of the bedside lamps.
The view was very good looking right over Gibraltar however one of the shutters was completely jammed. Breakfast was very sparse and what was there was low quality, including what claimed to be orange juice which just tasted of chemicals which there is no excuse for in Spain!

Friendly polite staff - most don't speak English so some Spanish is essential. Large family room overlooking the bay and Gibraltar. Cot provided for the little one. Good for the price, especially if you just want somewhere to sleep and have breakfast before setting off for the day (we didn't try the restaurant as there are loads in the town).
