Holiday Inn Ashford Central Hotel

We stayed here on the way to the tunnel, the room was fine and everything seem to be in order. The check in staff were friendly however I had to ask two different members of staff for more pillows, but they never arrived. The breakfast was top quality. I would stay here again.

I booked this hotel a couple of weeks before our stay as an overnight stop before going on the eurostar to Disneyland Paris. I used their eurostar package which included a family room for 2 adults and 2 children, breakfast, car parking for up to 7 days and a taxi to the station. Arriving about 10pm the check in was fast and friendly. Our room was quite a way from reception but also away from the road so we weren't disturbed by traffic noise at all. Stayed for one night en route to the Channel Tunnel. Although the hotel is located fairly close to the motorway, the room was quiet and there were no problems with the room's state of repair. Breakfast was good, but not well laid out - this problem exacerbated by the fact that a coach tour group was also taking breakfast at the same time, which meant that the servery areas were crowded. Efficient check in and checkout. Overall, nothing exceptional, but at £49 for two people including breakfast this hotel was good value.

I stayed at this hotel on route to france. Its in a good location very close to the motorway junction for your early morning start. Rooms spacious and i would say average for a holiday inn, clean and comfy for 2 adults and 2 kids. The bathroom was very travel lodgey but good quality. I ate in the restaurant and the food was good not fantastic jamie oliver standard but certainly better than the previous holiday inn i had stayed in (again in Ashford). the drinks were a bit pricey in the bar compared to other hotels i have stayed in.... more

We stayed one night en route to the Euro Tunnel Terminal in Folkstone. It is convenient for that. Room was large but at the end of 2 or 3 very long corridors and no hint of help offered with our luggage. Room was sparsley furnished and clean-ish. Bathroom was small but adequate. Staff were fairly indifferent. Check-in was effective but not friendly and check-out the same. Fortunately we didn't eat at the hotel in the evening as breakfast was a pretty miserable experience. Great offers on the website, if you book in advance. Saved 60% Normal Holiday Inn, pleasant staff, big rooms (for just 2, small for 4) Would advise for people as a pitt-stop Lovely American diner over the road and goregous breakfast in the hotel Bar food and drinks are an absolute rip off . £11 for Malibu and coke and bottle of magners. As the previous poster mentioned "just a Holiday Inn". Nothing more, nothing less. The size of our room and bathroom was OK. Shampoo, soap, shower gel was supplied. Showering was a bit difficult though, as the water pressure was extremely low. Just a holiday inn, took an executive room which had nice decor and a great power shower. All the room doors (even if people try to close them quietly) bang when they are shut - noisey!!! There is not much in the surrounding area, there is a decent Harvester across the road, other than that you need a car. Dover, Canterbury etc all a short drive away.

I was looking to spend a couple of days in Kent, visiting friends, on my way to Belgium. I booked a room for my wife, myself and my 3 years old daughter. We arrived late at the hotel and check-in was quick and the staff friendly. This was especially good because the hotel was having it's computer system updated when we were staying. I have 3 children and this is one of the only hotels in the area that can fit 5 in a room. The Holiday Inn North cannot. Unfortunately, we were too late for dinner but meals looked delicious.
