Holiday Inn Rochester-Chatham

Fine for drivers but it is about 15 minutes by bus from the centre of Chatham. That said it is a reasonably pleasant quiet comfortable hotel with leisure facilities. I would consider staying there again.

We got a good deal for a couple of nights whilst in the area for a family party (£50 per room per night B&B). The hotel is a pretty bog standard hotel much like a Travel Lodge in its modern decor but with its own bar and restaurant. The room, although not large was spotless and well appointed. We had room 6 which does face the road and it was noisy as previous reviewers have said. Standard Holiday Inn accomodation located on (dual carriageway) main road out of Chatham. We had to drive about a mile or so further out of town to be able to get on the other side of the road for the hotel entrance - which is easy to miss. Room small but comfortable and clean. No air-con but electric fan provided. It was quiet at night. Restaurant fine but nothing special and breakfast good. Staff very friendly and helpful. We got £50 B&B deal which is good value, though standard rates seem pricey.

Stayed for one night in May 2005 and got a great value deal through the Holiday Inn Website - £50 for two people for bed and breakfast. The Hotel itself - well standard HI fare, with an onsite fitness facility. We were upgraded to an executive room but having stayed in many Holiday Inns (and one in France on the next day) then it really was not in excess of a normal room.
