A lovely hotel in beautiful Kent
We stayed at the Tudor Park Marriott two weeks ago in early July 2006 and had a lovely stay. The hotel is outside of Maidstone so if you have come to Maidstone via the train, as we did, you will need to have a rental car available to you or take a short taxi ride from the train station. The setting is very quiet and peaceful and as there is a golf course, you are surrounded by greenery and countryside. The hotel staff is incredibly polite and helpful and willing to satisfy just about any request you can make of them, and do so... more
Loveley Break
I went here for a Christmas break with my girlfriend and we had a fantastic time. The Pool area is fabulous, and is worth going to this hotel for alone! Although being quite expensive, the hotel lived up to the price, and was well worth the money we paid. The surrounding area was fairly pleasant, a few nice pubs and a few shops up the road, about 1m up the main road. (Bearsted) The very centre of Maidstone wasnt so nice, but is a fair distance from the hotel itself. Great location easy to find. Rooms have everything you need,... more
Warning - Booking Mix Ups
Based on the reviews onthis page I phoned last night and booked a room at this hotel. Lovely packages on the web for a night with some pamper treatments - so booked the room and was advised to call the spa today to book for our treatments as they were closed. I phoned this morning to be advised that the spa was completely booked for the weekend we were staying and 'could we come another time ?!'. Needless to say I have complained but not much they can do - apparently there is no control system in place so is entirely possible will happen... more
Relaxation at its finest.
Just stayed for the weekend before heading out to France. Location is superb - pull off the M20 and turn at the roundabout and pull in the drive way!! just far enough to be completely peaceful, but unlike many other country retreat properties, you don't need sat nav to find this one!! Lots around to see like Leeds castle (well recommended) but quite happy in the pool for me!! The fairviews restaurant offered great food and very reasonable at three courses and coffee for £25. Was advised that they have a new Chef there also. I can... more
Great facilities
We stayed here for 1 night and it was a nice relaxing experience. We booked a Marriott Escape package dinner and breakfast, and the food was really nice. It is a good value for money especially because you can use all the hotel facilities, swimming pool, sauna, steam room. This is definitely a good hotel where you can come and relax.
breakfast to die for
stayed here one night 9th march. rooms very comfortable and clean, the pillows were amazing -your head really sinks in, and is held firm and supported all night,- but the highlight of my stay was the breakfast. the staff were very friendly and helpful, very attentive, well presented, well spoken, polite , and well presented-no dirty uniforms, or overpowering scents-the restaurant very comfortable, with a wonderful view over the golf course. there was just about everything you could wish for in a breakfast, and it was regularly re-plenished.... more
Not Gaudy at all!!!
With reference to the comment by the previous guy who stayed at this hotel. I am local but stayed here as i was attending a wedding at the hotel. Firstly the hotel is not surrounded by Council estates. (bearsted where the hotel is situated is a very affulent area) The setting is great. Great golf course and rooms are OK for a marriott, But i am not a regualar marriott guest like the previous rater!! I have stayed in hotels round the world - and the Tudor Park is a faily good one and location is fantastic....One tip never take advise on... more
Good weekend break
We have just spent a very good weekend at this hotel. The facilities were excellent including two restaurants, two bars, leisure centre and golf course. The service was relaxed but professional and very friendly. The hotel is situated off a main road into Maidstone but is very quiet and peaceful as it is set in its own parkland. We paid £180 for a double room for two nights B & B. The room was very clean and had a nice view of the grounds. It was equipped with everything you could possibly need for a two-night break and was nicely... more
Fantastic Weekend
First imprssions were good; Staff on the front desk were polite and helpful and our Standard Double Room was clean, bright, and well decorated. Minibar was (as usual in hotels) exorbitant, but then the main hotel bar was not much cheaper so take your pick. It was our anniversary so we picked the minibar. Food in the restaurant was excellent. The pool, jaccuzzi and steam room were fun and a lot of our time at the hotel was spent there (the 2 gyms looked ok but that would have involved some exercise). The golf course was closed due to the... more
Gaudy Fittings
If fake Grecian urns are your thing and you are enthralled by a mixture of mock tudor and the "footballers wives look" of everything gold & red .. you'll think you are in heaven. Add to that overpriced mediocre food, and a swimming pool area that is modelled on an "enchanting south sea island rock pool" circa 1950 holiday camp, et voila! All you could ever wish for when you've coughed-up £130.00 per night. I belive that the golf here is very good but as a non player I cant comment. A dream wedding reception location for the council estates... more
