Jun 2008, Mrs D Lawton

We travelled during June 2008 and found most things ok. The staff were friendly except for the wife of the owner of the hotel who was consistantly miserable and unfriendly. The food options were very limited the breakfast was the same everyday rolls, cheese, ham, Jam sometimes cereal & tined fruit cocktail. There was 3 options daily for the evening meal and was a very limited choice with small but adequate portions, the restuarant was always clean and the food you did choose to eat was very nicely presented and tasty, we did not suffer with any tummy troubles. The rooms are basic but there is some issues with the bathrooms although they were cleaned daily the cleaner needed a lesson in clearing hairs from the bathroom floor and this was something we found unacceptable as neither of us had black hair. Please also lock everything away we have had a few things go missing from our room but have no proof that this is the hotels fault although we found having a pack of new socks disappearing and some travel tickets for the local bus to the market mysteriously dissapeared. We found it all very expensive having a drink in the bar for less than a pint of beer was averaging at 5 euros. Most bars and shops are for sale as the local economy is not good therefore, they appear to be raising thier prices to make money and all this did was cause most bars to be deserted. The mosquitoes were a nightmare take plenty of repelent with you. All in all would I go back to Jesolo, probably not.

returned yesterdayafter a week which was long enough i think this may be because we had two days of rain and as the hotel doesnt have anywhere to sit and relax other than a very small balcony leading off a very small bedroom. the room itself was quite clean but we did have to dust on the shelves before we were able to put away our clothes away, air conditioning was 5 euros a day which was a must when the sun shone, Staff were very friendly and spoke very good english and made us feel very welcome. We stayed half board ,breakfast is always the same ham, cheese and rolls or cereals. Dinner (3 courses) in the evening has to be decided on the previous day and consists of 3 options for the first two always soup or pasta for the first course and pizza and pasta for the second course portions are quite small but this suited us but could be a problem if you have an appetite ! Dining out locally is expensive 2 small salads 1 beer and a coffee 24 euros, even just going for a drink is expensive . red bull and a dash of lemonade 5 euros . Getting to Venice was a doddle bus to Punta Sabione and straight onto the ferry 20.80 euros and you can travel to all the islands all day on that one ticket ....great bargain, Beach was good , but take an overload of Mosquito repellent everybody was scratching. Glad I've been but dont think I will go back for a long time

Fantastically friendly hotel. The staff were wonderful especially Elda who was great with the three small children in our party of nine.
The cleaners were very friendly and the hotel always smelled clean. The food was really good even for fussy eaters like my husband. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
Even though we didn't arrive until after 10pm on our first day they still provided a lovely meal for the weary travellers that we were.

Having been to Italy many times, I can safely say, this hotel is by far the most helpful and enjoyable I have visited at.
All the staff were so helpful at all times, they spoke fluent English. We stayed bed and breakfast and found that we ended up eating here most nights, due to the amazing food and service. (and they were very good at understanding food allergies, which is a a rare find on holiday)
The location is perfect, near the beach, and easy access to Venice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants, a clean friendly and welcoming holiday.
I will definitely visit again. Thanks to all the staff for making it so perfect.

Jun 2007, Miss M Mac

Having never been to Italy before, my partner and I were slightly clueless but wanted to stay somewhere near Venice. We checked out several maps and decided on Lido Di Jesolo because it wasn't too far away.
Acapulco Beach was a clean, quiet hotel with very friendly staff. We only had breakfast included but were welcome to eat for lunch and dinner whenever we felt like it. The room we had was a bit on the small side, but fine for two people.
Most of the staff spoke very good English, great for us who knew hardly any Italian!
The meals at the restaurant were well priced, ranging at about 4 to 7 Euros for a pizza and similar prices for pasta. We found the hotels and restaurants along Lido Di Jesolo were similarly priced give or take a few Euros. The portions aren’t small either so it's good value.
As for the resort, it is perfect and has everything you need. Supermarkets, shoe shops, clothes shops- everything! The beach is apparently the longest in Europe and is busy but clean and tidy. At night they shut off the streets to cars and it becomes full of people just wandering about. Very nice atmosphere.
We went to Venice 4 times during our stay and it took around an hour to get there however, you don't notice the time at all. We purchased tickets for the boat and bus at the tobacconist for 16 Euros.
The bus stop is close to the hotel and the bus will take you right along to the boat which goes to Venice. Be careful of your tour reps prices as we were offered a day trip for 45 Euros! Doing it ourselves was much better and we could go whenever we wanted.
Back to the food at the restaurant, there is plenty of choice! From Pizza to pasta to meat and fish dishes and lots of salads. If you are a vegetarian like me you won't have a problem rooting around for something you can eat.
The hotel doesn't have a pool but we didn't feel we needed it, as the beach is literally a minute around the corner.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and resort to anyone who would like to see Venice but maybe can't afford the pricey hotels in Venice!

I agree with all the positives so far posted on this hotel & the staff. There was nothing negative about our stay there. Very pleasant people & eager to please.
The food was to an acceptable standard though not spectacular, the portions were adequate & if you were nice to the staff you got ' extras ' that were not on the menu.
Room sizes varied, ours was a bit tight but it was not a problem, balcony was extra large, also a bit short on drawers & wardrobe space. That's the only reason I scored it as an 8, otherwise it would have been a 9.

Having been to Italy several times...

Oct 2006, Mr M Smith

Having been to Italy several times with tours, we wanted to come back and do it on our own, just using the tours to get to and from places we wanted to see at our own pace. The Acapulco Beach hotel was perfect for us. The receptionist, Lori, spoke very good English and was always smiling and helpful. Elda, the owner was typically, delightfully what you would expect from a motherly Italian matriarch. Nothing was ever too much trouble.
Vincenzo, the manager, was a gentleman and always willing to help or just have a good chat about your day. Valentino, the head waiter, was always polite and smiling. The food was typically Italian, which made a pleasant change from some other hotels who tend to give the English "what they want". If we didn't like anything that was on the fixed menu, it was no trouble to ask for something from the main menu. (This may or may not have something to do with the fact that we spoke as much Italian as we could, when we could. It is always well received when people make an effort and it shows!) The whole of the hotel was always clean and even the domestic staff smiled and greeted you on the stairs or wherever you met them. The management dealt quickly and efficiently with some troublesome guests during our stay, which you can't say about all hotels.
Elda and her staff are definitely on our Christmas Card list and we will be going back to stay with them again. However, the reason for the 8/10 mark, is that we would book direct, not with Airtours again, as we did not get what we were promised in terms of flights and accommodation. We moved to the Acapulco after our first disastrous night at our booked hotel and we are so glad that we did. It made our holiday. My wife and I would recommend this hotel and resort to anyone with a taste for Italy as it should be. It is ideally located for trips to Treviso, Verona, Lake Garda and Venice itself with all the glory of St Marks.
By the way, the beach was great. Clean golden sand and, if you book half board, you have an allocated parasol, beach table and two chairs for your stay, so no hunting for somewhere to sit when you get there.

This was our third trip to Italy....

Sep 2006, Mrs J Wharry

This was our third trip to Italy. Location of hotel was very good with easy access to beach and all the local restaurants and shops. The receptionist was helpful and the hotel very clean.
Our biggest disappointment had to be the food. We were on a half board basis and our menu was very, very different to the menu offered to people coming into the main restaurant. There was no salad or vegetables and even a cheese omlette didn't have any cheese! One of the choices for one night was Scrambled Eggs and on another night turkey legs! Considering Italian food is usually so good this was all a major disappointment - we ended up eating out 5 nights out of 7. The food we had in the local restaurants was very good and just what we expected in Italy.
We found that coffees and other drinks could be quite expensive in the hotel, so we used the little cafe across the road, where drinks and snacks were very reasonable and the service was very good.
Apart from the hotel food, we had a really good holiday in Jesolo and would definitely go back, but to another hotel. Jesolo is a good base for sightseeing and we thought the trips to Venice, Verona and Lake Garda were definitely worth the effort.

This was our first visit to Italy, and the Acapulco Beach turned out to be a great choice.
The hotel was very clean, and well run, with the staff very helpful in all aspects.
The meals were very good, with a truly authentic Italian flavour. The receptionist on the desk was wonderful, helping us, in perfect English on many occasions.
The beach is only minutes away, and the local shops and bars virtually outside the entrance.
We would recommend this hotel to couples, as an ideal place to stay.
We will definitely be back.
