I would entirely agree with the last reviewer, we had a very similar experience. We found it overpriced for what was on offer and not particularly good value for money at all. We would like to have eaten in the restaurant but when we phoned down at 7pm could not get a... more

I am writing this in my room at this hotel, it has dirty carpet, dirty glasses and its cold. There’s a control to make the room colder but not hotter. Main reason to come to this hotel was that it had a good vegi food selection in 1 of its 3 restaurants, but this was... more

Awesome Hotel & Experience
We stayed at this hotel 1 night to catch an early morning flight. We were fondly surprised when we entered the hotel lobby. We arrived on a Monday night and the place was rockin'. The lobby was very modern (I loved the wine rack!) and it was very trendy in decor. We had dinner at the Steakhouse in the hotel and the waiter was very pleasant and friendly! The room was very modern and nicely appointed. We had a king bed and it was heavenly! The bathroom was very clean and the tiled floor was heated - very nice! We enjoyed our stay at... more
Pricey but a good way to catch an early morning flight
If you have an early check in time and want to avoid getting up at an unearthly hour then an airport hotel is the only way to do it and you cannot get any closer than this. Its a short walk to the terminal under a covered walkway. Rooms are the kind you'd expect at a Sheraton with comfortable beds and a good shower. Didnt try any of the restaurants or other facilities so cannot comment.
A relaxing way to fly
We had a 6 am flight from Stansted and so decided to stay at an airport hotel. We looked at all the hotels available and although the Radisson was the most expensive at £79 per night, it seemed the best value for money. Checkin was quick and easy. We also arranged for an express check out, which meant that our invoice would be left outside our door and we could just walk straight out in the morning. Our room was fabulous; large, bright and airy with lovely furnishings and a fantastic flat screen tv. The bathroom was clean and... more
Probably your best chance of a good night's kip before an early flight!
Pros: The radisson chain seem to be one of the few UK hotel chains offering king sized beds. if that's what you're used to at home, as we are, and don't fancy spending the night before your flight fighting your partner for space, this is your only option! Beds are good quality and comfortable with nice big pillows and duvets. Rooms are triple glazed or something so that you hear basically nothing from outside. Bathrooms are modern, pleasant and very clean. We ended up in a business class suite (see below!) which had lovely... more
Great airport hotel - Bad staff
Just got back, stayed there 29th September for one night, last minute booking as we had a flight change. Great hotel design, very funky wine tower in the main lobby/bar area, I don't agree with some other reviewers about the food...the food was excellent, breakfast was very generous too and loads to choose from...need more of this in British hotels...3 restaurants in total and not bad prices for a hotel of this type. Unfortunately I had to pay a fair whack on the room rate as they only had 'Executive' rooms left...feels like a bit of a... more
Very smart - shame about the food
Probably the smartest airport hotel I've stayed in. Fantastic wine tower in the main hall where the wine waitress rises on pulleys to select your chosen wine. Superb rooms and very efficent service. Downsides are the food for vegetarians .... rubbish (I resorted to a cheese sandwich and chips for lunch) and, before you say "serves him right!", my carnivorous chums appeared less than happy with their food. (Also terrible mobile reception for o2).
Much better than most airport hotels
Although this hotel was not perfect in every way, i am giving it 5/5 because it is much better than the drab and bland airport hotels that one gets used to. The interior is stylish, bright, modern and clean with smooth Scandanavian lines, and some pieces of design-classic furniture by Danish etc. designers, and the carpets in the public areas are new, fresh and funky (not the typical drab hotel carpets). There are three different themes of room or something, and my room was decorated in blues and relaxing colours (it is beyond me why... more
Well above average
Checking in took less than 2 minutes seriously! Room very spacious, bright, modern, with immaculate furniture and cleanest I've seen in a while. Spacious bathroom. Great Spa, 4 restaurants in hotel, friendly staff, great super modern TV...minibar prices cheaper than average. 2 minutes walk to Stanstead terminal. looks very smart and they give you the choice to select from 4 styles of bedrooms (e.g. Scandinavian, "Ocean", Modern etc). Check out as fast as check in. You really do feel pampered in there and I did not want to leave! I highly... more
Another winner from Radisson SAS
Staying at an airport hotel is never much of a pleasure, but a very late landing and a connection the next day made it a necessity. I was very pleased to hear the nearest hotel, right next to the terminal accessed by covered walkway, was a Radisson SAS - last year I stayed in the one in Glasgow, Scotland, and it's the most enjoyable hotel experience I've had in many years of travel - see Tripadvisor. So the Stansted hotel had a lot to live up to, and it went a long way to doing so. The design was original and imaginative, with a spectacular... more
CHILDRENS MENU
We arrived at 8.30pm, and none of the restaurants in the hotel catered for my 7 year old son. Do children not travel from Stansted Airport????
