Days Inn Hotel

The hotel is not as close to the airport as i would have expected, but it was close enough . I knew Shuttle bus ws not offered, but It was clearly indicated. For the price of the room, the £20 paid for the taxi (10 each way) was s more convinient than staying in another hotel. Room was clean, bed was confortable , good shower and new bath towels . I paid around £50 for a room for 2 adults and 2 children. The room had a double bed and a sofa bed. There was plenty of room and the place was clean. I was surprised that there were tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a TV. Overall I felt we got a great deal. We only had to spend the night there and for 1 night it was perfect.

I booked at this hotel to fly out of Stansted the next morning. I found the check in staff very helpful and had no major problems. I stayed in a basic no smoking room. While I was a bit suprised by the lack of a mini bar, the room did have everything that I needed and was very clean. I drove in so I had no problems with getting to the airport parking area the next day. If you want a basic, no frills hotel to stay in close to Stansted, this will suit you. If you desire more, look elsewhere.

I booked and gave my credit card details to reserve a room but upon my arrival was told that they were over booked. The receptionist gave me a keycard to a room which she 'wasn't sure was occupied' but alas had a sleeping couple in! After a lot of fussing about, she found me a room elsewhere but could offer no directions, and when I arrived there was told that they only had a single room! Not much use for two people. Had an early morning flight from Stansted so wanted something affordable/comfortable. The Days Inn gave both. Had a lovely room, very clean, the receptionists were very helpful. I must even say that the food in the service station was also not that bad... I was booked into Mid Stay car park - it took about 5 mins to get there. Booked through Booking.com who were very helpful.

We had no basic problems with this place, but based on our experience it is easy to believe the more significant problems noted by other reviewers. Therefore, anyone with special needs, or an early-morning departure, or worries about something going wrong, might do well to stay elsewhere. I made a reservation through Laterooms for this Hotel as I had to catch an early morning flight. My original reservation was £40.00 for a Single Room on a Room Only basis. This was not a bad price for a one night stay when I imagine they would be busy with Christmas travellers. My husband and I had booked a room here through Days Inn.com and the web page said they had an airport shuttle. When we arrived the receptionist was not a 'real' receptionist and did not know anything and said we had to come back at 10pm to ask the lady who was coming on shift our questions. Days Inn is a good choice if you need to be right near the Stansted Airport and you're looking for a easy, practical place to spend the night. It's not fancy, but it's clean, quiet, and comfortable. We only had two complaints. First, because we arrived at 10 p.m., there was no nearby place to find any food for supper--just a Shell gas station.
