I have visited the Senior Hotel three times in the last 4 years and am about to go there for my fourth visit next month. I have always been happy with my room, food,served in very generous portions,in fact with all facilities offered. Nothing is too much trouble for Maura, our genial Hostess, or any of her Staff. They will all go to any length to make your stay a comfortable and happy one.
There is a pram to use for the little one and umbrellas in case it rains, I always enjoy my stay in Hotel Senior and hope to do so for a long time to come. Ruth Mehlman.

We stayed at this hotel for the Motogp at Misano 2010.
The hotel is one of the best we have stayed in for this price range. It is clean, modern and with a good pool. The staff are without exception friendly and very helpful, the chef is a genius. The proprietor - Maura, cannot do enough for her guests, and you do feel very much like her personal guest. Nothing is too much trouble, and with the help of her receptionist she makes it her business to make you as comfortable as possible.
The public areas are modern and spacious, with a small bar serving drinks and snacks all day and until late.
The food is excellent and buffet style with several choices of starters, salads,pasta, main courses and a desert. This means you can choose what you like the look of and the portions are large. The wine list has plenty of choice at very reasonable prices.
These are the reasons why so many guests return year after year. We have travelled all over Italy and have not found a better hotel in this price bracket, a gem of a hotel with diamond standard staff. A l'anno prossimo.

We had a lovely holiday in the Hotel Senior. The room was big, very clean and comfortable. The balcony was small but we could both sit out on the supplied chairs.
The food was good and the restaurant staff were all very helpful and friendly - nothing was ever a problem to them.
The hotel owner was very approachable and always helpful,ready with advice and information to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible.
The pool was wonderful,always kept clean and tidy with ample sun beds and umbrellas plus comfortable chairs and couches for those wishing to sit out of the sun.
There was road noise but that can be part of any holiday and it did stop after 12.00.
I would recommend the Hotel Senior to anyone visiting Cattolica it is by far the friendliest hotel we have ever stayed in.

We went to this hotel in June 2008. The room was quite small but the balcony was even smaller! It would not even fit two plastic chairs on it - only one, and certainly wouldn't fit a balcony table on it! My husband and I took turns each to sit out on the balcony. The food was grim, and it wasn't just us that thought that. Alot of people were grumbling about the food and one couple that we met lived on soup and ice cream all week because it was so bad. Definitely would not recommend the Senior Hotel to anyone. It's a good name though, cos it put years on us!

I would definitely recommend this hotel for families as nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the buffet breakfasts and evening meals are ideally suited to children: continental breakfasts and pastas and pizzas in the evening, followed by ice-cream, can't go wrong! Reasonably priced simple meals available for lunch too, although drinks can bump up your bill, but this is the same all over the resort. Air conditioning is available at extra cost on a daily basis and the rooms are basic but clean, bathrooms look almost new. Plenty of trips to choose from if you feel like it, but equally suited to a lazy holiday by the pool or on the fantastic beaches, within easy walking distance. Resort has a very "Italian" feel to it, but not overly commercial, and this hotel is ideally situated slightly out of the main hustle and bustle, but there seems to be an unwritten agreement that all noise stops at midnight anyway. Family rooms situated on the back of the hotel do not suffer with noise, we slept with balcony doors open every night and I am a very light sleeper. Great for a budget holiday away from the madding crowds.

The cleaning service was very good.
I found there was a lack of entertainment.
The swimming pool was clean and fun to use.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.

hotel senior was a fantastic family holiday! the staff were all kind and helped out as much as they could, most of the staff could speak good english so if we got stuck with our italian it was ok. the food was more than satisfactory breakfast could have had a little more choice and you can only get that awful uht milk but apart from that it was a pleasure staying there. i will definitly be going back next year. i would recommend this hotel for a cheap holiday it was worth every penny and more. the hotel also put on their own activities for the kids.

This Hotel should be avoided at all costs. The brochure stated "family run" although it possibly was it certainly didn’t seem like it.
The rooms were a good size but were not very clean, the balconies were little more than a large window and were not big enough to stand on let alone put a chair on. We were first given a room with only a bath which was really dirty after I complained we were moved to a room with a shower which was better.
The food can only be described as poor. During our stay the food was cooked off site and shipped in and warmed up in the hotel. The breakfasts were continental and were always the same.
The pool was unheated and very cold as was the jacuzzi which, if you wanted to use it, you had to walk into the bar, first putting on your T shirt, and ask the grumpy bartender (nicknamed) Lurch if he would mind switching it on. Most of the time it appeared that he did mind.
Best food locally was a little bar around the corner called Bonnie Prince Charlie (?); we ate there on about 5 occasions.
We met a couple who had stayed there two years earlier and they told us the hotel had changed hands and the standards had dropped. A young woman who worked for Airtours was also holidaying there and she said she was putting in a complaint to her management when she got back.
Apart from that the area was very nice and clean and day trips to Rimini, San Marino and Gradara were very good. Gradara especially as this is like stepping into an Old Italian village a hundred years ago. Trips to Venice and Rome were offered but everyone who we spoke to were left feeling ripped off as the stay only lasted two or 3 hours and travelling took up the rest of the day.
I recommend taking the local transport to these places, as it is very cheap and efficient.
All in all I would say a good place to holiday if you are not in this hotel.
