" We bought a timeshare at Westgate... "

We bought a timeshare at Westgate Lakes in 2000 and have never regretted it. We go back every year near Christmas. Our apartment overlooks the fabulous lake which is a big draw for me. At night we can see the EPCOT fireworks from our balconey which is spectacular. Although at first sight Westgate Lakes looks huge once you get in your apartment you are not really aware of other people - sitting out on your balconey you are not overlooked at all- there are plenty of pools and activities and of course it is near Seaworld, International Drive etc. They are also building lots of shops nearby. The apartments are always immaculate, in 10 visits we have never seen a dirty flat, the maintenance staff are great, always there within minutes if anything is wrong. There is an "award winning" restaurant The Smoke House on site - but we have been twice and I wouldn't recommend it, very disappointing. They make improvements to the site all the time so the place never looks dated unlike some other timeshare places we have stayed at in Orlando.

" It was one of the friendliest places... "

It was one of the friendliest places I have ever been to, if there were any problems they would sort it out there and then. I would recommend to anyone to go there. The apartments are clean and well maintained.

There is netting on the windows to ensure no bugs fly in and the views of the lakes are breathtaking. All rooms have a balcony and there are coach trips that run to and from the resort to places like universal studios and Disney Land and Sea World. There are shops on site so you need never leave the resort if it is just sun and pool that you want.

" Dial a flight were very helpful,... "

Dial a flight were very helpful, although a passenger name was wrong (Mr instead of Miss/so we had to collect another lot of tickets at airport, a wait we could have done without). Pre-booked our hire car with them, cost £240+ for two weeks, but had to upgrade from large saloon to the next size at a cost of £250+ (Dollar Drive) so think we were taken for a ride there!

Orlando is a great place to holiday. Theme parks enjoyed, especially Epcot, Sea World, MGM, Universal, Typhoon Lagoon. International drive is a great place to shop and eat and plenty of I-ride buses to get about, and pavements if you want to walk!

Accommodation was clean and of a very good standard. Wonderful complex, apartments spacious, everything you need for self catering, majority are timeshare, so you are encouraged to buy. They are situated in Turkey Lake Road, really need transport, hire car or taxi, International Drive is 10 mins away, plenty of restaurants and shops.

" Just got back from a two week stay in... "

Just got back from a two week stay in a three bedroom apartment at Westgate Lake and Spa Resort. It was huge and so clean. A roman bath in the main bedroom, 54" television in the lounge. The large patio had the sun shining on it from morning to evening. Seven pools to choose from.

The staff polite and helpful. Plenty of other activities on site to keep children of all ages happy. A beautiful lake you could watch the sunset. We had a fantastic holiday and we will be going back again. We used the taxi company Caesar's Transportation who were fair in their prices and our regular driver Tommie was polite and very reliable.
