The Mallorca Palace has been built in typical Mallorquin style just 250 metres from the golden sandy beach, and close to the bars and restaurants of Sa Coma. Beautiful gardens with a large swimming pool and extensive sun terraces provide the perfect setting for relaxation. For the more energetic the hotel is a great choice for golfers, with five courses within easy reach. There is plenty of opportunity to practice on the hotel's own pitch and putting green, bunker and golf net range, under professional supervision.

The hotel is lovely with mature gardens and very spacious rooms. The hotel staff are friendly and couldn't do enough. We booked independently and got a room on the top floor away from the bar which I would suggest as a couple of the rooms overlooked the restaurant/terrace. The breakfast buffet was pretty good even upto 10:30 but earlier is best. Can't comment on the dinner as we ate out every night. The only problem with the hotel is location, Sa Coma is a typical british resort with tacky shops and no decent restaurants but if you travel a few minutes in either direction there is stuff to do. I would happily stay here again but the resort needs improving first.

This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel but does not live up to this.

Food was average - buffet service but most times somewhat tasteless and lacked some heat. Morning tea was always cold.

Facilities were not all that were advertised with a lot being closed for the winter (but they still advertise them as being available on their website), pool snack bar, golf shop, smoking lounge, bath robes.

Staff were friendly and efficient when we asked for something - but the things we asked for should have been provided, extra pillows, blankets, towels.

Overall it was a nice hotel and very clean but I have stayed in better 3 star hotels.

If you want the sun on your balcony then do not get a room above the main buildings (above reception and dining room).

We've just returned from Mallorca. The hotel's fine, staff fine and helpful, but it's just in the wrong part of town. The food was good but everything was on a self-service basis, even dinner. The variety of food in the evenings made us go out to find a good restaurant - there's only so many times you can stomach a salad for a starter.

Anyway, turn left out of the front door and you'll walk pass touristy cafes and restaurants, and - yes, tattoo parlours, horrible. Turn right, walk for 10 mins and you'll find a quiet part - S'Illot, and Lagos - a restaurant worth finding, they even serve you!

Usual problems as well, not enough sun beds, early risers placing towels on the 'prime' ones. Beach is a short walk - but it gets packed, just like you see on holiday TV.

Entertainment in the evenings included a couple of singer/bands, and a piano player who played about as well as Les Dawson. Unfortunately all evening entertainers seemed to be trying to drown out the noise of the adjacent hotel - Ap Paraiso - their evening stuff was far too loud, including karaoke (ouch), a quiz, a singer, and a variety of noise. Needless to say we won't be going back.
