Myself and 16 year old daughter went for a weeks half board. The hotel was lovely very clean, food ok bit repetative but nice and good choice, catered more for other guest than english. Not many english at the hotel mainly spanish, french and german oh and a few irish. Excellent pool and no fight for sunbeds in the morning very relaxing but a bit too quiet for my daughter, not many teenagers around, except Spanish. Entertainment was poor, the only adult ent was for an hour each evening, finishing at 11.15pm so plenty of early nights. Santa ponsa itself very nice, clean nice shops and bars not rowdy and wonderful beach. Overall a very relaxing, quiet holiday would recommend it for couples and young families not teenagers.

Our family stayed here in September. Our ages range from 81 down to 2 years. We had a fantastic time. The hotel was fantastic, extremely clean and bright. The rooms were perfect. The restaurant was really good and the food excellent. The waiters/waitresses were friendly, helpful and really pleasant and were really good with my granddaughter who is 2. I thought I had ruined a pair of linen trousers one night but the girl who cleaned the rooms kindly removed the stain and I was very grateful. I thought it was a nice touch.
My daughter in law had a birthday whilst we were there and the hotel left a fruit basket and a bottle of champagne in the bedroom for her. On another occasion the entertainments gave my granddaughter a lovely rucksack filled with all kinds of games and she was really thrilled. The hotel is in a perfect area, just across a small road to the beach and central to everything but is a quiet location as well. All in all I think this hotel gave us one of our best holidays. We will certainly be going back and I would like to thank all the staff.

Me and my two daughters visited July 3, 2007 for a week. We had a fantastic time at this hotel. It was kept very clean, the staff were friendly and the food was great.
The location is excellent; opposite the beach and the hotel very central to Santa Ponsa. The entertainment was probably the weakest area; some nights it was so poor it was hysterically funny and this made the holiday unassuming! It was a memorable time and I would certainly go back again.

This was the second year we have been, the waiter recognised us as soon as we walked in and made a big fuss.
The food was excellent, most of the staff were wonderful. The only problem arose with our room, my wife and I had just stopped smoking and the room stank of smoke, we were moved the next day.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone it is almost on the beach and near to the bars etc without being noisy.

This was my 2nd time at the hotel and my friends' 3rd. The hotel is brilliant, the food is lovely and the staff are pleasant. The rooms are cleaned every day and the pool and bar area are spotless. The hotel is a 2min walk from all the pubs and clubs and there's even a kebab shop underneath it! The air conditioning is amazing, we had to get up every night and get blankets!! The air conditioning needs to be turned clockwise right past 10oC to get the full effect. We at first thought 10 was the coolest but its not, we just weren't working it properly.
Highly recommend this hotel to anybody, we are a young group of girls and will definitely be returning, best hotel i've ever stayed in.

It was my third stay at the hotel (the second this year), and the only think I can say is that I'm already looking forward to next year.
Staff is great, really friendly without being 'in your face' all the time, the food is very good and diversified (although I agree with another review which stated after two weeks u might start feeling it's always pretty much the same dishes), rooms and shared areas spotless and spacious - the cleaning staff never seems to stop working!
The hotel is right on the beach – which is not over crowded like in El Arenal, Can' Pastilla or Playa de Palma, and there is lots to do and see around the hotel.
I highly recommend it! It's a recipe for a great holiday :-) Another suggestion: go there at the beginning of September. They have festivities all over the Calvia area (King Jaume) and the Hesperia Playas de Mallorca is a central location for it all.

We have just returned from our first two week holiday to Santa Ponsa. The hotel could be described no better than excellent and rated a 10/10.Bedrooms were cleaned everyday, hotel in general was spotless and food was great(even for the fussy eaters)!It is a very family based hotel but us a 17 and 18 year old found the people friendly. Just minutes from the fantastic nightlife we could not complain and with the staff being pleasant at no matter what time we returned home we couldn’t ask for anything else. Definitely hoping to return to Santa Ponsa and the same hotel :)

Just returned from a 2nd visit to this hotel. Had a fantastic time again. Was perfect for my 3yr old son, who had a ball at the kids club & in the kids pool. The hotel itself is very bright, clean & spacious, the only things I felt the room lacked was lack of a fridge & the air conditioning wasn't up to much.
The restaurant food was greatly cooked & a wide variety of food on offer. The entertainment last year was awful & more aimed at the elderly so we did not stay in the hotel to hear the entertainment but did hear from friends that we met, it was very varied & good. The staff were pleasant & friendly, especially with my son.
The beach & local shops are only a 5min walk & the "square" with live tribute nights only a 20min walk (up hill though!) Will def go back to this hotel in the near future.

As near to 4 star accommodation as what you'll get - food spot on - location couldn't be better / pool area very clean and tidy / entertainment brilliant!
Santa Ponsa fantastic resort with plenty to do - shops bars restaurants that sort of thing and only a taxi ride from Magalluf.
Hotel rooms not massive but recently refurbished so very clean and modern.
Having looked round other hotels in the resort was glad that i'd picked the hesperia playas.
Will be returning!

A very nice hotel indeed. I have stayed in this hotel before but that was before the major refurbishment, and what a difference! The staff are very helpful and courteous, all areas of the hotel are clean spacious and airy. The rooms were brilliant, we went as a large family party, with 3 out of our 4 rooms together at the front of the hotel over looking the beach and WOW what a view, we couldn't have wished for better. The entertainment was very good, our kids (aged all the way from 1 to 11) enjoyed every bit of it, I still have to listen to the C.D. of the mini disco. The beach is only 20m away (not 200m as this review page says) so the location was excellent.
The only reason I cannot give the Playa de Mallorca a big 10/10 is because of the food. Whilst the food was very nice and of a high quality, it was very, very repetitive, after 2 weeks we found ourselves getting a bit bored with seeing the same meals rolled out every other day and just wishing for a bit more variety, or just an alternative to pork which makes up the vast majority of the meat dishes.
But as a whole a very well deserved 9/10. We had a fantastic holiday, I have been to Santa Ponsa several times and I can safely say this is the best hotel we have stayed in yet at the resort, and I can recommend it to all.
