Quinta Splendida Hotel

We stayed in QS one week in September 2006. The stay was just great and the hotel garden is so nice. Many plants of different shapes and colous give a special atmosphere to this location. The room is average and functional, we stayed at the Patio area. The restaurant prepares delicious meals. HB is recommended. Every night cold buffet and choice of warm meals offered. Differs every day. Delicious!

We have just returned from our first stay in Madeira. The Quinta Splendida ApartHotel in the village of Canico, is definitely worth the 4 star rating. Our room was spotless and cleaned daily. Towels were changed as often as we required. The views were stunning and the gardens are amazing with birds of paradise, orchids, lillies et etc. The food was excellent with a huge choice. We stayed in Quinta Splendida for 10 days and absolutely loved it. No problems whatsoever. There were building works going on a bit further at the time but, No noise = No big deal. Reception staff is very proffessional and helpful. In fact, all staff were friendly and polite. Room/bathroom were clean and spacious. Loved the complimentary bottle of madeiran wine !!
