Never wrote a review before but would just like to say what a fantastic me & my family had at the ola tomir.
The staff esp the entertainment team of Rafa & the 3 girls really worked their socks off to make every one enjoy themselves.
The apartment was a 2 bedroom one with a lovely view over the pool & out to the bay of Palma nova & Magalluf.
The room itself was very clean with air con & comfortable beds.
If travelling with a young family I would suggest a hire car as apart from the very expensive marina, there is not a lot to do outside of the hotel.
Saying that it is only a 10 minute bus ride from the hustle & bustle of Palma Nova.
Again would like to thank all the staff for making me & my family welcome & would certainly use this hotel again in the futre.
- Advice: recommend a car, lovely beach 200 yards away

restaurant managers kind and excel to please. marina has wow factor. beds in hotel basic, we found uncomfortable, and folding one folded when asleep. marc restaurant manager nice with everyone, and he is an assett to hotel. entertainment is lacking, would help if could sing, and not just move lips.this hotel is in good location for marina, palma nova, marineland. Restaurant cant fault, but quality of rooms could improve and entertainment. If only entertainment, was same quality as restaurant and marina. (say hi to marc restaurant mgr) if anyone goes to ola tomir. If we are in area again we would return for restaurant, and of course staff.
- Advice: visit hotel restaurant, marina has wow factor, palma nova visit, palma, marineland too;

UTTER NIGHTMARE - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We stayed at the Tomir for 2 weeks in August 2010 with our three children aged 11, 6 and 10 months.
Where to begin...............
On arrival, we were told that we had been placed on the fifth floor - I asked for a lower floor but was told, very rudely, that the hotel was full. later we discovered this was an utter lie.
When we got to our room I was absolutely HORRIFIED by the height of the balcony. DO NOT visit this hotel if you have young children. I spent the full two weeks with the balcony doors locked as I was terrified that one of the children would fall over.
The room was ABSOLUTELY FILTHY. What was described as a 2 bed apartment was really a 1 bed apt with a partition wall. I immediately contacted our tour operator bu they were unable to move us anywhere suitable. MAIDS CLEANED ROOM ONCE IN TWO WEEKS.
Other horrors included :-
Wasps nest outside room - hotel unwilling to help - very rude. At least one wasp in room at any one time!
Fridge didn't work
Whenever I tried to cook anything the whole room would fill with thick black smoke from the FILTHY cooker and pans - ended up eating out all the time insted.
POSITION - There is NOTHING around this hotel - it is in the middle of nowhere - everyone at the hotel referred to the surrounding area as Beruit.
ENTERTAINMENT - non existent apart form the odd game of killer pool, darts etc. One of the reasons we booked was so my son could play football - this was on twice in the full two weeks we were there
COST - This hotel and the surrounding area is ridiculously expensive. Even in the supermarkets ice creams were almost £3 each, cans pop £2 each.
POOL - BY FAR THE WORST THING ABOUT THIS HOTEL IS THE POOL AREA!!! My husband witnessed the staff scrubbing filth from the sides of the pool then rinsing it back into the water. All three of my children were ill. Vomiting etc. My 10 month old daughter was particularly poorly. Raging temperature, not eating or drinking. GP at home just confirmed that it was probably the water she swallowed in the pool.
I am utterly DISGUSTED that I have spent an absolute fortune to stay in such disgusting, dangerous conditions and that my children's health has been put at risk in this way. All the guests with children at the hotel confimed that their children had also been ill. Absolute disgrace. How dare these people try to save money by neglecting to keep the pool clean, and therefore put children's health at risk.
As for the previous reviews, I did not speak to ONE person who enjoyed their holiday. Everyone I spoke to was of the same opinion as me. Very suspicious................

Just back from tomir, clean an basic, drink can be quite expensive. Everything closes at midnight so no noise after then whatsoever. But fun staff, entertainment team were excellent! Well done to jamie and Paul for organising the daily activities and the grease show is a must!!! From the Edinburgh clan!!

Booked this hotel on the advice of the rep in the travel agency. The first couple of days were quite a shock- the complex is a bit isolated, not much in the immediate locality.Like most of the reviewers - the reception staff were a bit rude, blunt and not very amicable. Yes there seemed to be hundreds of kids- we had 4 of our own who all made friends within the 1st couple of days ,which was great . We were on the 7th floor so heard very little noise late at night ,with the exception of the noise of the seals from marineland just down the road. Good points excellent entertainment team, found the bar staff very friendly (chef was a bit moody!) Pool had a lifeguard on most of the day. Entertainment was good. The Apartment we had was quite large and had a great view over the marina. The BBQ was very reasonable and the food was tasty and plentiful.
Bad points- a bit far out, there are 6 of us -that meant two taxis if we were heading anywhere, busses were a bit hit and miss. The games room should be shut a bit earlier as the kids were constantly looking for money to play video machines.Air con was a bit poor.Outside of that If your thinking of going - for a meal Jose's a short walk up the road is a must .Our kids loved Flinstones a couple of doors up.Avoid Sundowners at the roundabout - food was cold and had to be reheated- we heard several complaints like this about the food there. There is a large supermarket about 5 minutes away which is very cheap (they will even order you a taxi if you have a lot of items to carry). The Marina is beautiful- very very expensive though, fine for sightseeing! If you dont have children - avoid the Tomir like the plague, its not for you.Would we go back- already booked for next year!

Basic but very clean. Had an excellent view overlooking the marina on the 4th floor. Excellent for young children as it was a quiet area we brought our 5 month old son and 3 year old daughter. Couldnt avail of the entertainment as our children were too young but heard glowing reports from others.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of irish were staying in the complex whom were very nice and friendly.
Nice restaurants close by (Joses was excellent)
Downfalls:
Lifts were tiny for buggies and extremely slow and old fashioned.
Tried the buffet one evening and it was disappointing.

We stayed there aug/septs 2008 as two adults and had the best holiday ever. The funteam are we good and had great activites for the adults and children. They are waterpolo, darts, pool, archery and lots more. We had a laugh at these because half of us was very poor at them so we could laugh at each other and got to know the other quest. The fun club was second to none with the kids some of the families was exchanging emails with the staff. The bus/taxi was very cheap to get to all the nearby town. This was are 2nd time going back and would go back again.

Just returned from this complex which as others had said was loud and a little overpriced for food and drink. A complex with nothing worth talking about outside the front door. But with an 11 month old we were quite happy to stay away from the pool during the afternoon and travelled around the island.
Like other guests we started to miss items form the appartment. a pair of expensive sunglasses, a pair of shorts and a ring were all taken from the appartment when we mentioned it to reception we were told "nothing had been handed in". When i rang the tour operator for their assistance on arrival home I was told - "we cannot make international calls", the agent was to send me the contact details and I'm still waiting!! I did find an email address on the web and a week after we returned I am still waiting for a response to emails I sent asking for an explanation. Very disapointed in Budget's Irish staff and the hotel staff, we won't be using either again.

The hotel is in the quiet resort of Portal Nous and is ideal for families or couples looking for a chilled out holiday. The taxi journey from the airport and service at check-in was so quick and efficient that it only took approx 45 minutes from getting off the plane to being in our apartment!
The hotel/service: We had only booked a studio apartment but ended up with a two-bed apartment, which was great and gave us more space. Likes: The kitchen/living room was a good size and had a fridge, cooking hobs, utensils and everything we needed to cook with; a nice balcony looking out towards the sea; clean, decent-sized bathroom. Dislikes: The two bedrooms were joined together and were very small and windowless. The main downside about the apartment was that it was very hot and the air-conditioning unit barely worked.
The location: We didn't spend very long in the hotel as we were out each day at the beach (there's a very nice one about a 15 minute walk away past the marina/boat yard) and we went out in the evening. Many of the restaurants in the Portal Nous marina were ridiculously expensive but there were many affordable ones too - esp La Cantina and Lollo Rossa (nice pizzas, pastas and salads). We were self-catering so we went to the big supermarket (Mercardo - I think. About 20 mins walk from hotel) on the main road to Palma Nova to stock up on eggs, bread, spanish ham, cheese and things for breakfasts and lunches. Wines and beers were also cheap there.
