Magaluf Playa Apartments

stayed in the magaluf apartments from the 14th june till 19th june on my mates stags. after reading a few reviews we where a bit concerned about break ins we had read about in the past, but on arrival ANN at reception said that had be all dealt with and was in the past. the apartments where big and spacious, there was 4 of us in a one bed apartment and there was plenty of space. we had brillant views from our room, of the sea, the BCM niteclub and square. the food and drink in the apartments is quite cheap, for 25 euro u can eat and drink as much as u like from 9am till 9pm. The bar staff and all the other staff are tops, very friendly and helpfull. The apartments are generally kept clean and tidy, the lifts do break down the odd time, but only young prople stay at these apartments and it only takes seconds to run up the stairs to your room, and how many times do u be in your room a day anyway :), so its not a problem. The pool and be a bit wild at times with the stag party's but just fun not any trouble. I would defo recommend these apartments to young and lively people, great location, staff, craic, drink and there cheap to stay in, as Arnie says "i'll be back" lol :)

After reading reviews on this hotel before I left It seemed as if it wasn't going to be too bad.
I have just arrived back from a mates stag weekend staying in this hotel and it has to be the worst I have ever stayed in. I have been to Magaluf many times before and have found hotels in the same price range so much better than this place.
We booked as a large group and was put on different floors, had to walk to the room as the lifts were covered in sick.
There is an all inclusive deal in the bar 25 euros and drink as much as you can which it seemed so many lads were doing as we arrived.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel to any girls considering a holiday here, there are better, cheaper hotels than this.
We are all in our 20's and had a great time on the Magaluf strip at night, I suppose if you don't mind a tiny, dirty room that won't be cleaned during your stay then go ahead and book this place. If not please look elsewhere.

Rooms were clean, Staff bent over backwards to help, Great location right next to the BCM club and the beach. Noise carried on until the early morning but we were often getting in at that time or to drunk to notice! overall cheap and cheerful and a great holiday! :)

Staff were brilliant, location was fantastic, rooms more than adaquate. Facitlities were good. It was really good to have "Tom Browns" on site for food, had a supermarket and internet access. Views over BCM square. Walking distance to the clubs.
In one word: AMAZING
A big thank you to the staff, see you next year!

Me and five friends wanted a cheap holiday so we booked one of the cheapest hotels we could find in Magaluf. So with this in mind we wern't really expecting anything posh. The rooms were clean and tidy on arrival and the maid came in every couple of days.
We had no problems with security or the safety deposit box. The lady on reception was very helpful and even gave us an extra room at no extra cost because initially all five of us were sharing an apartment.
There lifts are a bit dodgy, don't overload them!
It was very noisy at night because of being right next to BCM but we soon got used to that.
So overall if you want somewhere cheap to stay in a really good location then I would recommend staying in this hotel!

Having returned from a weeks holiday in Magaluf were i stopped at the Magaluf Playa Apartments i would advise anyone contemplating booking this accomodation not to.
Having arrived we were informed that a saftey deposit box would cost us 20euro, plus 2euro a day thereafter, after rejecting this sales pitch we proceeeded to the lifts which stank of stale urine.
Reaching the room we were shocked to discover the complete contrast to photos we had seen beforehand. We immediately discovered that there was no hot water, the only window was nailed closed, and that the air-condidtioning was faulty, not only that the lock on the patio door had evidence that it had recently been attempted to be forced open.
We recieved no clean towels in the first three days and resorted to using baby wipes in order to maintain an element of hygiene.
After numerous queiries to the reception about these issues we came to the conclusion that they were simply just trying to fob us off.
We were also aware of various incidents of robbery occuring, the security issues concerned me greatly during my stay so much so that i taken to carrying anything valuable on my person.
That much being said on day three of my stay i was so stressed out and felt so uncomfortable that i wanted to return to the UK.
In hindsight i was glad i did'nt decide to get a saftey deposit box after the incidents i have read about on this site. The Magaluf Playa is without doubt the worst hotel i have ever stayed, which ought to be condemmed as not fit for human habitation.

Magaluf playa apartments were GREAT!!!
The flats and commune areas were always clean and in perfect working order.
The accommodation is simple but very spacious and airy, the balconies in the flat offered great views. The staff at reception were extremely helpful and the location was more than ideal.
I recommended 100%
We are going back this year.

we arrived checked in fine. Hit the beach straight away. first night walked to the bcm nice and close. would really recommend for cheap holiday and fun in the sun. not for the faint hearted tho!!!!! ie rob (lad). great booking well done.

When i read the reviews about people getting broken into all the time us 4 girls were bit worried- however we had no problem at all. althought there is no safe in the room there is one at the reception which has a camera on it at all times.
the pool wasnt as dirty as it has been made out to be- no it werent the cleanest but the atmospeher round the pool was well good that we spent alot of our time round the pool.
the apartments were big enough- but although it was self catering i wouldnt have cooked food there, but you are right by KFC Mc D's and loads of other fast food places aswell as restuarants. Playa is so close to everything!!- BCM next door, Panama Jacks, and Morgans across the road, BCM square round the corner, and the strip just round the corner. best location ever! and although BCM is sound proof you still get alot of noise-however most of the time we were probs the ones making most of the noise. All the staff were very friendly.
Magaluf & the playa is just the craziest place and ever- we were all gutted to come back- but looking forward to going back next year.

Hey, I just got back from Magaluf and it was the best holiday ever. Me and my five girl mates had the best time. I read soo many bad reviews about this hotel and none were true. The only bad thing was the lift played up a bit but someone always took care of it and that was it really. The location is excellent next door to BCM!! I would reccommend to anyone young looking for a propa laugh and a wicked holiday. Would not reccommend to families. Staff were friendly, english yet spoke spanish too. Im so sad to be home i really wana go back!!! As i said, Best holiday ever!
