I strongly recommend this hotle!

I don't understand why the other reviews are bad because I have not 1 complaint!

I went to Magaluf with 5 other 17 year old girls and it was great!

The rooms were massive and clean, our room was cleaned every 2 days, with clean towels and bed sheets.

Our balcony was enormous! And the view was unbelievable. We were only 5 minutes walk (if that) to the main strip and about 10 minutes to BCM. I'm glad we chose to have a hotel out the way of the noise because I need my sleep!

The only problem was that our bathroom flooded a bit on one of the last days but we just put towels down and the maid cleaned it up when they came.

The 'heart attack hill' wasnt a problem, it was hard work through the day in the blazing sun but you got used to it, i lost some weight because of it! Although i would NOT advise you to run up it, i did one night and pulled a muscle :-(

Overall i recomend the torrenova playa to groups of young people coming to have a good time in magaluf.

weather was lovely apart from 3 days of rain, magaluf was beautiful

apartments were ok but we booked six rooms and ended up with five, all the rooms were on different floors hence the kids room being on a different level to the adults,

not good when you have 3 teenage daughters being on a different level to their parents in lively magaluf.

staff were not very helpful and when questioned about this they responded with(not my problem we are fully booked) not mine either we booked 2 months prior.

would i recommend magaluf YES would i reccomend torrenova playa apartments NO.

Also if you are thinking of going watch out for the Hill, it is a killer especially after a few drinks.

Torrenova playa is the worst place i have ever been from day 1 we knew we had to watch are self went down to the pool to get a drink and the prices on the menu were high but we thought well were on holiday you just deal with it till we order and he put 2euros on every drink we oderd. Then 4 days in and as it was a lads holiday the room wasn't spotless but the maid hadnt been all holiday so i went to ask and about it behind the reception and he said we dont need to do anything for you english then stormed off muttering something. The night after i was stood at the reception for about 10minutes whyl the man behind stood there looking at me on his mobile phone so i just put my key on the side just as i started to walk off he came storming round screaming because the key fell on the floor this lead to a 30minute argument and us nearly getting kicked out of our rooms because he has no time for english. All in all the holiday was good because we had some friends in other hotels so we tryd to stay clear of torrenova playa as much as possible and i would recommend u do the same the only people these take a shine to are groups of girls i think you will understand why.

right i just got back from magaluf on friday and overall the holiday was amazing , i reccomend it to anyone just aslong as they do not book at the torrenova playa . the place isnt bad itself as in the rooms were clean to an average standard and were big enough. but the people that work there are horrible escpecially the greasy lad that works as night watchman . we had to ipods and stereos taken off us for playing our music tooooo loud , it was only 12 o clock and we couldnt hardly hear it ourselves . this is why we think they have some kind of surveilance because our apartment was on floor 2 and the reception is on floor 9 , so if we could bearly here it , how could he . but when he came to get the ipods off us he didnt even explain himself he just stormed in with the master key and took it out of the wall , i was about to argue with him when one of the 16 lads i was with said he worked for the htel , i was fuming . also on the 2nd last day we got back from bcm and the hallway leading to our room was flooded and when we went in our room it had gotten into there aswell . so we imeediately repeorted it , this was at 6 in the morning , and the man didnt give a [-] , so we forgot about it as did they so we were flooded til we left . the people that work there just hate anyone from 18-30 . and heart attack hill is a killer at 5 in the morning so beware . my other mates stayed in the vista sol and i slept there a couple of times and the atmosphere is much better as it is right on the strip , and the poeple are far nicer , so in all it was a quality holiday but the torrenova is just disguting

p.s the cockroaches arent nice either

when we first arrived the hotel was good, uncle dave was friendly and polite.

the room was a good size and clean until we got in there.

on day two my friend was in the shower and spotted a video camera and the hotel staff could produce an explanation and accused the last costomers in the room (we dont no what to bilive)

the next few days were exelent we had a very good few days apart from the extreme amount of mozzys and cockroaches until we noticed someone had stolen my mobile phone and a fifty euro note out of my suitcase and the mobile is now blocked and luckily was insured.

i would rate the torrenova playa hotel as poor and wouldnt reccomend it to anyone

On arrival the i was worried out what to expect about the hotel after reading some of the review.

A group of 8 teenagers, on the ground floor wasnt that bad and no noise was heard at night from BCM etc, however the hotel staff were not the nicest, which we presumed was due to the fact we were all 18-19.

The Apartment itself wasnt exactly the cleanest, there were marks in the kitchen and the fridge was broken and had a bad smell, the plates were dirty and the glasses had marks on them. The bathroom was ok, except for the sink which was dirty on arrival.

4 people to an apartment and only 2 single beds and twwo beds made up on the sofa wasnt what we expected when we were told a double bed and two single beds, however we didnt spend two much time in the apartment so it waasnt too bad.

Overall the hotel was very basic, and you get what u pay for, just dont expect the cleanest rooms.

Nice hotel for families and all the other reviews below are correct but not recommended for 18-30's as they seem to take advantage of you.....BE AWARE!

As mentioned below( as i went with these lads) we got stitched up for setting off a fire extinguisher. We got woke up the next morning and had a bill for 800euros thrown as us without explaination. There was no reason for them for point the finger at us but.....they did, and i guess it was as we was a group of 6 lads and it happened to take place on our floor.

when we tried to reason with the the next morning we was getting nowwhere, they were not interested in what we had to say and all they wanted was their 800E for a fire extinguisher.

we were given 2 choices pay the full 800 or leave.....after a long discussion between ourselves( as the hotel staff didnt want to hear what we had to say) we decided to pay the money as we like where we were staying.

HOWEVER....when we told them we was paying and we wanted to pay by card THIS was not acceptable as they wanted CASH!!!! not sure weeather it was just me but seemed very wierd......we questioned this with no straight answer so decided if this was the 3 day of the holiday what else would we be paying in damages we didnt cause!

we decided to leave the hotel and find another place as it worked out cheaper aswell but then were told that we could not have our passports and 'the police had them' and that we would not get them back until we paid in cash full. this is when we realised there was something funny going on and as we were in a different country there probably wasnt a lot we could have done about it. in the end we pacjed out stuff when to the doors with our stuff and demanded out passports back and we did gett them easier than expected......left and after that it was a peaceful holiday....

so 18-30's or groups beware!

Good sized rooms, but if you have a bad back the beds will ruin you. good facilities for self catering, rooms cleaned close to no days out of the 10 i stayed.

Definitely not ideal for 18-30s/ clubbing holidays.. the workers dont appreciate noise or any work for them.. its well worth taking a look at the price list for damage before you become careless, 800 euros for a fire extinguisher is not an exageration. After friends being blackmailed/ extorted by the owners for a fire extinguisher they did not let off i find it hard to leave a good rating

extortionate robbing spaniards

800 euros for a fire extinguisher we did not set off

ideal location, large rooms, the hill isn't too bad, and the rooms are cleaned most days.

ideal for familys and people on a quiet holiday , not to good for groups of people. the damage charges are totally ridiculous and they make assumtions on who caused what damage.

i stayed in this appartment for 14 days, i could not belive what i got my self in too. firstly the staff kept tryin to chat up my partener makeing rude remarks to her, secondly our bed sheets never got changed on out full 14 days of stayin ther and nearly every day we wer witnessing cockroachs breeding in the bath tub also if you are not that fit i would'nt go to this hotel because they is a massive walk up the hill to get to your appartment.

I went with my girlfriend for 10 days and I just want to say, the 'Heart Attack Hill' is not that bad at all! its a 3-4 minute walk down a shallow hill to the strip, all these reviews are saying that the hill is bad, it really isn't, so if you’re planning to go here don’t worry about it!

We went for 10 days and can’t say a bad word about Torrenova Playa. The rooms were cleaned every other day, the view is just breathtaking, pool facilities are adequate but we were always sleeping till late and then going out so didn’t really spend much time at the pool!

Recommeded Bars: Lush, Three Lions, Bonkers, Chaplins, Mulligans

Recommeded Clubs: Poco Loco, Boomerang, Club 21, Funky Monkey, Revolution, BCM

Slightly worried about what we were letting ourselves in for after reading some reviews but had nothing to worry about. Apartments were basic, clean and had everything five single girls could need.

People do not lie however about the hill, it is a bit of a killer but your legs feel and look so much better for it! Magaluf is a nice resort with lots of things to entertain day and night. Top holiday.

Would recommend to younger groups for a safe, fun filled trip.

Best week of my life had a amazing time! The apartments were good, fair enough the hill from the strip to the apartments is huge, but it is still a lovely place.

The pool was nice too, the only down point was our beds did not get changed the week were there, but it was because we were always in them when the cleaners turned up!!

Will definitely be stopping there again next yr!!

Torrenova playa was the best. When out there with 12 of my mates all 17-18 and if you are out there for the clubbing you will love it.

It is right on the strip and right on the beach. Lots of young people in the hotel and it has the best view to wake up to.

If I could I will live there forever. 24 hour reception really helps.

On arrival to the hotel, the hotel staff barely spoke a word of English, it took two attempts to go back and fore to reception to get the correct room number off reception (while lugging about suitcases).

We were placed on floor one, which is pretty much the basement floor and to get to this floor you have to walk all the way round the hotel to get to the elevators (which sound like they are about to break down). Then you had to walk all through level 2, only to find out we had to lug our suitcases down 3 flights of steps to get to floor one (no elevators to floor one).

On entering the room, the fridge was leaking and all the kitchen tiles were soaking wet (lucky we noticed before we slipped), the toilet seat had a massive crack down the middle of it and so did one of the sides. The bath was full of rust and for three of us staying there, there were only two chairs and one knife, fork and glass for a self catering apartment and there was one sofa bed, 2 beds, a kitchen and a table all squeezed into one small room. (Very crammed).

Complained to reception (they didn’t understand a word), spoke to the rep; they moved us to a new room the next day so were unable to unpack and settle down. The new room was in much better condition, very clean and had more room with a separate bedroom with a poolside view as well.

A good thing about the hotel, the views of the beach and the sea are outstanding and the pool is of generous size, although no lilos aloud.
