Hotel Moreyo

This is a one star but personally I think its worth more. It has a fantastic location - 2 mins walk to beach and lots of shops and restaurants nearby. There is quite a noisy bar opposite so ask for pool view - I had a sea view but the music did not bother me.
Breakfasts were great - hot and cold food - as much as you want.
Staff very very friendly - they love it when you make the effort to communicate in Spanish!
The major downside is the fact there is no air con - but I hired a fan and it was just about bearable .
Clean towels everyday!
I would defo stay here again - excellent value for money.

After reading all of the reviews on this hotel , we were slightly apprehensive about the place. But upon arrival we were made to feel very welcome by the friendly staff. Very clean hotel with clean towels every day and new bathrooms. Food was excellent for the price. Pool great for the kids and no sunbed wars for a change. Plenty to go around as were all of the lilo's left by former guests. Beware of the Head Chef at meal times though,DO NOT .... REPEAT DO NOT DROP CHIPS IN THE RICE OR PASTA DISHES!! The night time manager who got a bad review was fine with us . He explained that he didnt like rude customers......... so take it how thats read! No aircon but hey, its a 1 star ! As for the noise from the Pago beach bar across the road ..... Come on guys your'e on holiday! There were 10 of us in our party and everyone enjoyed every minute of the stay. We would all definately come here again.

Had a lovely stay here with my daughter. Lovely relaxing break but nightlife/ harbour ect if you want it. Friendly staff bar one miserable man. Food was ok- not fantastic but good for the price. Pool is quite small but is great as you get to know the people around it. Rooms are spotless and bathrooms new.Had a pool facing room which is best for avoiding the noise from the bar across the road. Entertainment there every night but drinks are expensive. Would return again.

Great location,just wander around to your hearts content,great for the beach,we used the thomposon gold beach some 3 minuites walk away.At night we would find some food from one of the many offers around.
The hotel was ok but the food was desperate,so we gave up on eating anything there after the 1st breakfast.The pool was fine nice and clean and everyone was freindly.It was relly hot when we were there and it was dire trying to sleep you hire the fans fore about £3 a day but even that wasnt enough,the transfer was a bit tiresome but over all for a cheap package it was ok.

Second year at this lovely friendly hotel this hotel is more than 1 star and as for Ben the barman or should i say Ben the hotel rep,great lad kids love him very helpful as are all the family that run the hotel(lovely people)had a good laff with other guests(amazing how many people go out of there way to say this isnt there proper holiday they stay in a 4star hotel later on ha ha liars)wish i was going back next year but cant afford it but year after we will be there.

This is a small, friendly hotel. We have stayed twice and the only reason we haven't returned recently is the lack of air conditioning during the very hot summer months. The rooms are basic but clean and we never found it noisey. The staff are welcoming and because it's a small hotel there's no queuing for meals or clambering for sun loungers. Don't expect 4# and you will be pleaseantly surprised. It is excellent value for money and there are some fabulous restaurants nearby.

Where shoud i start....
The hotel manager as he liked to call himself was one of the rudest men i have ever witnessed in my whole life. We stopped at the hotel for a week and not once did he crack a smile. He made us feel quite uncomfortable in his presence and obviously doesn't know much about customer service/care. This is a shame as the rest of the staff at the hotel were very friendly and the young women on reception couldn't do enough for you.(the hotel manager was only there of a night time so you didn't have to see him that often which was an added bonus). The hotel was clean and our room had a poolside view which was nice and also was quite spatious, the only down fall was that there was no A/C which can't really be expected at a 1*, but this wasn't a problem as fan's can be hired from reception for just 2.50 euros per night. i think that the hotel should be rated higher than a 1* as the friendlyness of staff and cleanliness etc was definately worth more than a 1*.
The hotel is very well situated as there is a bar over the road which goes on till the earlyhours of the morning with entertainment and a DJ each night and the staff there are very friendly (not very good if you have young children as can hear the loud music when in hotel until the early hours of the morning), there are shops all around the hotel and even better the beach is a 2 minute walk from the hotel.
It was a very relaxing holiday and there was plenty to do in the day but of a night time it isnt the most lively place but still there are plenty of pubs and restaurants to go to with lots of entertainment.
Cala Millor is only a 15 minute walk away from the hotel and the night life was a bit better there with lots of shops and bars etc, they also had a beautiful beach and nice restaurants.
Overall, i think that this resort is more for a family holiday, as there is not much to do for teenagers and we found that the locals are quite rude to them.
I have rated it as a 5 because of the beautiful beach and also the nice restaurants but also because of the rudeness of both the manager and the locals etc.

just back from a fantastic week at this hotel.
we were a family of 8 ages ranging from 2-60. this is a family run hotel, all staff very friendly, including the 2 dogs.
hotel, rooms, bar and pool area spotless, towels changed every days, bedding every other day.
food was fine, breakfast: cold hams and cheeses, full cooked english bacon, eggs, beans, sausage. toast, cereal, fruit juices and fresh fruit. evening meal: soup, salad bar was great, either chips or potato, 1 meat dish 1 fish dish & veg, fresh fruit & yogurt.
no air con but you can hire a fan from reception for 2euro per day, well worth it.
would strongly advise if you book this hotel to request a pool side room, like we did or you may get a room overlooking the street, fine during the day however the bar on the other side of the street plays loud music until the early hours.
we would definately recommend this hotel to others and we plan on returning ourselves.

I went half board for two weeks on my own, I was not charged single person supplement. Breakfast was great! full English, the evening meal was fine you could have a three coarse meal with soup to start and a choice of three for main meal and a selection of puddings.
Room was OK, word of advice always book a room over looking the pool, it is not noisy. if you are unlucky and you get a room over looking the main street there is a very busy bar with live music directly across the street which is open to 3am, and the noise will keep you awake!!!
The staff are so friendly it is a small family run hotel and they are so kind and smiling all the time, they are all so nice.
The hotel is always very clean and tidy!! the bed linen gets changed everyday. the hotel really is not that expensive to stay there and for what you pay for you really get great value for money.

I loved it! It was a very enjoyable 7 days for me and being a lone traveller I felt very safe! Why have I given it 10 when I did not use the dining room that often? Because it was my choice to not eat in there all the time because I am on a diet and food was a plenty!
Room was spotless and cleaned every day with fresh towels. If you want a chilled out week and rest in October....go for it! It was extremely good value and there is an internet in the bar which came in very handy for me! A husband and wife team and Sister seemed to run the show. And there was a young lad there every evening who was so polite and they could not do enough for me!
Pool out the back and beach behind Hotel. Bit noisy from the bar opposite until it closed at midnight, but so what! It’s to be accepted seeing as Hotel right in middle of main road! I slept for 2 days and put do not disturb sign on door and no one did! One thing did strike me though, loads of wheelchairs and walking sticks around. At one point I thought I had stumbled into the film set of cocoon! I am in my 40s and felt quite young. Just the boost I needed!
Would I go again? Certainly but not in the summer months unless air con installed and a porter in the day to take cases to my room! Met some lovely people and took some fab walks, you can walk for miles! What stood out for me were the people who ran it - the two sisters had the loveliest smiles. Must not forget the chef, try his pork chops! Adios Amigos!
