The first point is the taxi drivers at the airport try to fleece visitors you are strongly advised to use tour operator pre-booked transport on arrival/departure. The hotel is 4*situated in the north of the island and is fairly isolated the road are scary narrow and plenty of hair-pin bends, if you want a quiet break away from civilisation then this is the perfect spot, but not too good for kids.
The hotel has a good layout with a large pool, the accommodation was pleasant the only negative point was the dining area, too small but the food was generally good catering for all tastes but repetitive. The hotel had problems with a neighbouring property during our stay resulting in the turning off or stopping of the limited entertainment (which was poor) being provided. There are a few Tavernas dotted around if you get fed up with the food. the beach is good nice for long romantic walks. The weather was ok at the time sun every day but not too hot, although the hotel is advertised as 4* it is more 3*. The airport for departures is chaos, overall we would not return to Corfu

We wanted a quiet holiday and that's what we got.
The hotel is clean, rooms spacious (although the orange curtains and bedding are a bit much) bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath which is a nice touch.
The staff were mainly friendly, mostly young student types but very helpful and extremely polite.
The food is quite basic for an 4* all inclusive (I've definitely had better at 3 star resorts), but there was something there for everyone really, plenty pasta, salads etc
However, the entertainment is appalling! Three resident animation team members (all English) were pleasant enough people but they were severely lacking in the talent dept. There were three nights in the week where others were drafted in to help and they were worse than the others!!
In their defence though, they didn't have a lot of support from their Management and during the day they kept the kids busy and organised football etc for the blokes.
But as you are at least a 30 minute walk away from the town itself, the evening entertainment needs to be greatly improved if they want to attract people back.
Achravari is a nice enough little town, plenty of shops and a few decent tavernas. You can pay 5 euros’ for a taxi or wander along the beach (30 minutes).
Kasiopi is a 15 Euro taxi ride away and worth a visit (lovely harbour and secluded sandy coves), but unless you want gangs of louts falling out of bars and vomit on the pavements, stay away from Sidari.
All in all, I would say that I really enjoyed my stay as we were looking for a chilled out week, but I can't say that I would rush back.
