Family Hotel not for young people
i went to ibiza for a crazy girly holiday. the first night we got there we were exicted to be there we wasnt making as much noise as we usually do as we we a little tired but were getting ourselves ready to go out, we had been there half an hour and someone was banging on the floor then the lovely old man from reception came up and explained that someone had complained about the noise this happened 3 times which was not good. it was full of old people and familys and i woulsd advise people goin for a mad holiday DO NOT stay there. The hotel was very nice and the food was basic, the beach is 2 seconds across the road and the location is good if your going ibiza to relax.
Beware - put us in another hotel without informing us
I booked this hotel through an agency back in Oct 2006 for my hen party. All 26 of us arrived there on 6th July, as arranged at 11.00pm only to be informed by the receptionist that there were problems in various rooms due to a recent leak and that we would need to move to their sister Hotel (Mar Amantis 1 & 11) down the road. The hotel insisted that they had informed the agency the week before, however I had heard nothing at all. As the manager was not available and not to effect the rest of the night, we all made our way to the other hotel and checked in. I returned to the Bergantin the next day where other couples, families etc were checking in without any problems. We spoke to the Manager who again informed us of water issues in various rooms and he showed us 2 out of the 12 rooms we would have booked were the was no water available in the bathrooms (which he had probably arranged prior to our visit!). I then raised my concerns with the Hotel Agency rep within the hotel who had no idea of the water issues. She mentioned that this had happened before as the hotel purposely overbook to ensure full capacity and then overflow occupants into other hotels. She also said that there was another group of 30 due to arrive that day who would also be moving to the Mar Amantis. All in all we had a great weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. The Mar Amantis was overall was not too bad and I'm not one for complaining, its just annoying in the fact that we all planned and paid to stay at this hotel. Must recommend the Pink Panther bar round the corner, we had a great time in there!

From azuLine Hotels we regrett of having moved you to another hotel. sometimes technical problems happens and we try to look for the best solution to our clients. In this case, becouse of the water problems we could not have other option. We are really sorry for all the inconvenients suffered.

Good Stay
I recently stayed here all inclusive for 2 weeks with my family of 4 (2 children aged 10 & 5) And upon arrival we were well greeted and given a room with a sea view on request. The hotel itself is very clean with 1 big pool , 1 smaller pool and a little kids pool. The daily maid service was good , with clean rooms , but can be easily disturbed if loud noise occurs.Bar staff are very freindly and snack bar is ok but closes at 6:15 pm which is not very good.Entertianment is not great especially for kids but entertainers were friendly enough.Cafe is ok size and food is ok (mainly good breakfast) and food was varied on a 7 day menu , but i have had worse in other hotels.Hotel is in great location for San Antonio Bay or for a nice walk along the sea to San Antonio itself. All in all we would return as San Antonio is a great holiday resort with plenty of local places to eat.
Decent for the money we paid
Went here for a week late May earlier June 07. The hotel was clean & the staff were helpful. Rooms were fine size wise & there were a couple of English TV channels. The hotel pools were good one of them was a walk in style which was ideal for children. Didn't see that much of the childrens entertainment during the day but the kids disco was well attended in the evening & my 2 yr old thought it was great. I have a few moans though the food for the evening meal was very poor, to the extent that we ate out a couple of evenings. Although breakfast was fine & snack bar at the pool was really good. Also think the 11pm last orders was enforced to rigid if you were a second after 11 you had no chance. This became quite frustrating. All in all we had a very good time & at the end of the day suppose you get what you pay for & we didn't pay a lot for the hotel so can't complain.
Ummmm ok I suppose
Ok well there was me and another 11 friends (mixed) we all stayed in double rooms. The hotel looked lovley when we were dropped off. The first day i was sitting on my balcony (bare in mind they split our whole group up) my friend was on the floor above so we were able to talk over the balconies.we were having a chat getting really excited to go to Eden that night, when 1 hour later my friend got her first complaint about chatting over balconies!!!! i mean come on!!! if it was a 40 year old women talking over the balconies im sure they wouldnt get a telling off like school children. We were all aged between 20 and 25. The food - Yuk not very nice, boring, i never ate it as i slept all day and clubbed all night Staff - great!!! really canny go on well with them, i think they liked out geordie humour (other then the reception worker who hated us) Room - yes nice, maids came all the time air con good. no complaint about room. All together our group got 150 complaints which half wernt even true....... we had a complaint about the music in our apartment, i said it wasnt possible as we were on a trip that day, that made me realise that the complaints were messed up. So if ure under the age of 30 and u want to have a good time with friends dont go to this hotel!!!!!!
Brilliant for young and old!
Booked through otbeach.com We stayed at the Bergantin on 30th Aug 2006 for 1 week All Inclusive and we loved it. We were a group of 4 in coming to Ibiza for the clubbing, but we wanted to have the choice to be away from the busy town. The Bergantin was a great location and was only a 5 minute walk into town. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly reception staff, we went straight to our rooms, which were waht we ere expecting of a 3 star standard (two twin beds, bathroom, tv, etc). From past experience, we checked everything on arrival to aviod dispointment late. Air conditioning worked, a lot of tourists don't know that if you don't have your balcony window shut the air con doesn't work, so always remember this!! Plus if u have the window open you are defeating the object anyway! The TV was on a spanish channel but i know from experience that you have to go to reception to get a remote and pay a 10euro deposit which you get back when you return it. Which i think is fair as you can imagine how many they lose. We alos checked the shower/bath to check for hot/cold water, everything was fine in both rooms! After this we went down stairs to check out the pool area/ restaurant and games/gym room. The pool i must say is excellent and a great location for the sun, really impressed! The bar area was great, the snack bar did serve only a few thing, but that is what we expected, food tasted great! The best part for us 4 20 yr olds was the drink all inlcusive. We asked the freindly bar staff to make us all kinds of different cocktails and drinks, they were so friendly, howerver you ould only get 1 drink er person, but who wants to be greedy anyway! Meal times in the restaurant were great, the meals changed everyday, all though not all of us enjoyed it evryday, it's to be expected due to people having different taste, even my picky boyfriend enjoyed it most days. I however enjoyed it everyday, i'll eat anything! hah! The food was always hot and refilled regularly. Tips: Be friendly to bar stff and they will give you what evr you want at the bar! Get a safety box in your room for 25euros, i would recommend it for passports and tickets and stuff! Just like on any other holiday, please watch your bags carefully, we didn't have anything stolen, but it can happen on holiday when your mind is elsewhere! Ask at reception about trips and hiring bikes etc, they are very helpfull and organise this for you. Try the beach par about 50m down the front of bergantin. You do have to pay here but it's nice and relaxing! Overall, we really enjoyed are trip and are booking to go back next year at the same time! Highly recommend it!
Good hotel but?
Stayed at the Bergantin from 27th September to 4th October 2006, on an all inclusive holiday. This is a very clean hotel and we found the staff friendly, except for one barman who was extremely rude. The food was good but for the first few days was cold, then they started to serve it hotter. The amenities i.e the swimming pool and pool area were excellent. There is a good bus and water taxi service to San Antonio town. The only real complaint we could make would be the dreadful music that was continuously played from morning till night.
Good Time was had by all - shame about the security!!!
I travelled to this hotel with a mixed age group of 18 people to celebrate my husband's 50th. Unfortunately immediately on arrival one of the party got her bag stollen - and we were still in reception!!!! the hotel staff just did not want to know even though they were given a discription of the 2 men and woman that had taken it - and even though they were told what floor they had gone to in the lift. There are CCTV camaras everywhere but we were told that the staff could not look at them only the manager who was not there. In the end we had to demand that someone call the police. This was a complete waste of time as the police just tell you to go to the station and report the crime. We were told at the police station that this is rife at the moment with it happening in many hotels to holiday makers just arriving. Thomas Cook hang you head in shame you knew his had happened in this hotel before yet said nothing during the transfere and nothing to people arriving after us. What made it worst was that the 'Looky Looky Men' were allowed into and around the hotel pool area selling their goods. Hotel keys were given to whoever asked for them - no proof of it being your room was required. Infact during the week a very drunk woman from another hotel asked for a key at reception for a room and was given it even though she wasn't staying at the hotel, this was in the early hours of the morning and she let her self into a room with people sleeping in it!! Having said all of the above the hotel it's self was clean and well looked after if a little tired looking. The food was ok and we had no problems getting snacks or drinks and in reality apart from unfriendly staff and very bad security it was a good 3* hotel and we had a fantastic time!!

Dear guest, Firstly we would like to apologyse for the inconvenients suffered during your stay with us and thank you for your critic so we can improve day by day. we are changing our keys system to establish trust in our customs

Ideal for hard of hearing, insomniacs...
Having got back from this hotel yesterday,i am pleased to say we are home, the hotel looks very nice when you arrive in reception, however this was only the beginning of our problems. We had two rooms.. however when we arrived at 12:30 pm one of the rooms was not ready,so we had to put all the luggage in one room, until 2 hours later, when we was given a key to the room next door, however this did not open, neither did another key i was given,so i was given a master key for the afternoon, which i was amazed, having therefore been able to access any room of my choice,if i so wanted... (but i am not like that) So we got settled in and things where getting better, until we stayed in our room for longer than 5 mins, all you could hear was people walking up/down the long corridor,i mean i have stayed at many hotels and apartments with similar walkways, but this was unbearable, you could here a full conversation without struggling. The walls where so thin,it was very difficult to sleep, especially with the walls between apartments being so thin too. And then theres the bathroom, now this has to be seen to be believed, there is a air vent between you and your next door bathroom,so poor sound insulation all over the hotel and a air vent between you and your neighbour,so you can hear them shower, bath, use the toilet too. Not my idea of a break, the food was not good either, having stayed all over on all inclusives, this had to be the worst. it's repetertive junk food. The swimming pools are ok i guess, the smaller pool being the best out the two, however the workmanship was again very tacky, with the pool having more polyfilla in places than tiles. I want to be able to say something good about the hotel, and the staff are exceptional, friendly and very polite... So if they bulldozed the place and kept the staff i would go back.
Management response from e_commerceIbiza 25 Mar 2009

Fantastic Experiace
We have just returned from a weeks visit and cannot find any faults with the hotel or the area of San Antonio Bay. Our initial sight of a large concrete hotel with towels hanging off every balcony was worrying but we should not have been The rooms are clean and comfortable, food acceptable, the staff very friendly. The only downside would be the occasional queues at the snack bar by the pool and the bars although they moved quickly. The area outside the hotel is full of cafes and bars which were useful if you missed breakfast after getting up after 10.15 and after the bars closed at 23.00! The nightlife in town is a 20 min walk away and is nothing like the picture painted by the media! I saw no trouble or mass drunkeness So all in all a great place to go and yes I would recommend it!!
