The noise in this hotel was unbearable (at all hours). The walls are paper thin and it seems like everyone slammed the doors. You could hear EVERYTHING, even when next door switche don the light. The staff weren't very friendly, they obviously didn't like the tourists and made it clear. The rooms are clean but they could do with some renovation it's all very old and falling apart. A great selection of food in the restaurant and the small beach near the hotel is lovely. A great ferry service to other beaches and locations.

Was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews. We arrived just after midday and our room was ready. It was clean and comfortable (with plenty of plug sockets) The receptionist was a bit miserable but he was the exception. The majority of the staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was spotless and the pool areas were well looked after. The food was really good, there was plenty of choice and everything was well cooked and tasty. The desserts were the usual selection of blancmanges, cakes and jelly etc and there was plenty of fresh fruit on offer. The nearest beach didnt look very appealing so we walked 5 minutes to the next beach which was great.
We caught the bus to Ibiza town, it only cost a couple of Euros and the shops were better than the ones in San Antonio.
The hotel was very noisy at night, but you are in Ibiza so it's to be expected. There are a good selection of bars right by the hotel which was handy as the hotel bar shuts at 11pm. The entertainment was a bit rubbish and it lasted an hour which to be honest, was long enough.
Dont bother eating or drinking at any of the sunset bars like Mambo, Savanah etc. The prices are extortionate (9 Euros for two cokes) go round by the rocks in front of the bars and there is plenty of seating.

A group of 12 of us ranging from 17 to 54 recently stayed at this hotel between the 19th and 26th of june and had a amazing time. The hotel was spotless and very clean, all the staff very helpful and friendly. The rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels and sheets, every room was air conditioned which made it cool. There was three pools one for the children each being big and very clean. The location was great with the beach being minutes away and shops and bars right by the hotel. There was a boat trip on the beach being very cheap 2.5 euros taking you across to the other side of the island. The beach was gorgeous and very nice to visit, there were many cheap restaurants if wanting to eat out. The food was average and eatable with the breakfast being the best course offering cereal toast or a fry up. The lunch and dinner was very similar and could of been more of a variety however there was a big salad bar and cooked different meats. Also the entertainment at night finished very early and wasnt very good. However this hotel was very good and everyone had a great time want to go back already!

Just back from a weeks stay in this hotel, it was fantastic. The hotel was fab facilities for adults and children:- games, gym, spa, choice of 3 pools to suit all ages, mini golf etc. The entertainment was good, Bird shows and aerobatics every other night. The food choice was great and use of snack bar during the day. The rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh towels. I have no complaints about the hotel or staff Only about other guests regarding noise but reception and scecurity were very helpful about this. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

As people that like to travel my wife and I have stayed in some amazing hotels worldwide, The Waldorf Astoria in New York, Hotel De Paris in Monte Carlo and The Mayfair London to name but a few.
In all my years I have never encountered a hotel such as the Bergantin.
The staff were extremely helpful, when enquiring about the use of the Spa facilities we were only kept waiting 20 minutes to be given our passes and then walked to find the spa itself securely locked. Upon returning to the desk we were delighted to find that the concierge would only keep us waiting a further 10 minutes before addressing us and having the spa opened. The walking and waiting really gave us something to fill our holiday time with effectively and we are eternally greatful to the Bergantin for that.
The facilities really were second to none, the pools were kept beautifully maintained and one day we even discovered the most beautiful aroma of fried dog wafting across the pool area from behind the waterfall. My wife and I both said that if you closed your eyes at that moment you could have been anywhere in Baghdad!
The food and drinks on offer really were top notch, the bar area was fully stocked with plastic cups and if you enjoy explaining to your barman how to make each individual cocktail and pour a pint of beer as much as we do, then you really are in for a treat. The restaurant - We did hear a rumour that Gordon Ramsey and Marco Pierre White had collaborated on both the menu and restaurant design and we weren't disappointed. Each evening we were met with a different meat caked in a different sauce and all the chicken goujons your heart could desire. There was also a fantastic selection of processed cheeses and hams for the customers to pick up and put back as many times as they wished before others consumed them. On the Friday night they have their Gala night, which is not to be missed. Make sure you pack your tuxedo as this is a night to revell in. You will be treated to - I kid you not - A PIECE OF BEEF THE SIZE OF A TABLE, with the exact same texture and taste as I would imagine a table provides. The restaurant itself provided all the comfort and atmosphere that you may expect from any prison mess hall.
The rooms were sublime. I can't remember the last time I was in Spain or one of her neighbouring islands and felt the calm cool temperature of the arctic as I slept. One night it was a little much but by our 5th night the hotel had eventually bought us a blanket large enough to cover one of my toes.
In Short, The Bergantin was the most wonderful, charming and picturesque hotel that I have ever stayed in. Forget the Italian Alps or Lake Como. If you want 5 star luxury and all the slop your stomach can handle, then The Bergantin is the place for you! db

My self & my boyfriend stayed here for a week in September. The Hotel was great. When we arrived we was greeted by a lovely lady on reception. We arrived before check in time, but she put our all inclusive band on and told us we could still use the bar etc. Which i thought was great.
The Food was nice, i'm a funny eater and i found something every night, apart from the Mexican night. The Snack bar is good. But there are only about 8/9 things you can order. And the Lady on the snack bar is a bit miserable. Bar staff was great. Entertainment was quite poor but who goes on Holiday to watch entertainment. Had a parrot show one night and things like that.
There are 3 pools, one smaller pool where the older generation where. And a large pool where the younger generation was. Music was played by the larger pool. Also there is a childs pool. There is a bar at each pool.
Rooms are basic, bed, tv on the wall, wardrobe and a bath room. But is cleaned every day. Tools changed daily if you wish, bedding changed once a week. There are only 2 electric sockets in the room, so take an extension. One high up by the Tv and one high up in the bath room. There is a Balcany with a table n chairs but ours had no light so didnt use it at night.
The Hotel is close to shops and bars, and the beech is straight over the Road. The hotel is in a quieter part of San Antonio but it is only a 15 minute walk in to the night life.
The hotel can be a little noisy due to younger quests. But it wasn't too bad.
Overall my favorite Holiday and i will defiantly be going back! No complaints!!

Having booked via the internet then reading a few brief reviews my husband and I were a little worried about all the negative comments regarding the Bergantin. We needn't have been, this was one of the best holidays we have had, and definitely the best value for money!!
Room service every day, friendly helpful staff, clean pleasant surroundings (there's a chap that checks the pool day and night, takes the readings from the water, and tops up the 'chemicals' as required)
Food was so much better than expected - I am an extremely fussy eater and found something that I liked every meal time. Each meal (excluding breakfast) had loads of choice (on average there were 3 various main courses every lunchtime and evening meal - and every day was different!) Usually a fish dish, pasta dish, meat dish, and more often than not some kind of chicken nuggets or the like. Wide range of salad, cold meats and cheese. 3 desserts and loads of fresh fruit.
Drinks were readily available and more choice than I would have expected (Pernod, Tia Maria, Baileys etc all in the all inclusive package)
Can't comment on the entertainment as we never stayed in the hotel after the evening meal, but chose to go out and explore instead.
Would advise taking an extension cable though - the only accessible plug sockets are in the bathroom! - don't let this put you off though - there is much more to the holiday than that!!
Beach is literally across the road (although the larger one is about 5 mins walk down the road) San Antonio town is approx 15 min brisk walk or 30 min stroll, but lovely walk along the promenade.
Enjoy your holiday - we can't wait to go again!! :)

Myself and my 3 children age 2, 8 & 19 have just come back. We had a great time. The hotel room was really big, very clean, lots of storage space and a large bathroom. The staff were very polite, food was good (plenty of choice) the pools were great and the childrens entertainment staff were fab! Very central for the shops and beach. The evening entertainment in the hotel was fantastic every night! would deffinatly go back there.

Having been to the Bergantin Hotel last year in August we had such a lovely time we booked again for this year, but we were very disappointed that entertainment staff had changed and the new staff were only interested in the young groups, they did not even communicate with guests. Another problem we encountered was groups of young men and women were troublesome and noisy as this hotel was described for families and couples.
