Best Western Salobrena

My girlfriends and I traveled through Spain for a month, and after going to Marbella and before heading to Granada we stopped in the quaint town of Salobreña. We didn't want to stay in a hostel therefore we chose the Best Western Salobreña. Immediately we felt welcomed by the warm multi-lingual staff. We happen to travel through the Europe Mediterranean coast, every year and for our surprise we found ourself with the spectacular hotel in a very small and beautiful town called Salobreña. We would like to share our experience due to what we got from what we payed... The hotel is very well equipped, specially the climate inside the rooms, restaurants ect. Just back from trip of the South of Spain, and this hotel helped end it perfectly. Situated on the side of a mountain just passed Salobrena village, this hotel has views to die for of the entire coast on one side and the mountains on the other! This coupled with a lovely pool area is a sea-bathers paradise! Reception speak English, although bar-staff dont, breakfast is not of the highest quality but fine, and the rooms are plain but comfortable with a balcony view of the coast to boot! We decided to splash out and spend a little more on this hotel - and were very disappointed. The receptionist spoke very poor English. (The hotel is all Spanish.) The hotel was quite a long way out of town and it was impossible to walk it as it was on a highway. Taxis are infrequent from the town (we waited over half an hour) and we couldn't even get one from the hotel in the evening. The room felt cheap and there was a hair in the bath.
