The 5 stars were warranted but as the Hotel is not on the tour operators’ books. It is very quiet with no evening entertainment. Day snacks very limited and as pricey as all 5 star Hotels. Breakfasts were extensive and the food was fresh and of high quality, we did not stay for any other meals as there was so much choice outside the Hotel.
5 minutes walk away over the bridge are 20 restaurants and bars with a couple of small supermarkets on a very English complex and there is the public bus which runs to Puerto Banus and Marbella and the other way to Estepona. The bridge is very useful as the main road is a motorway and all crossings must be made via this bridge.
The beach is 10 minutes walk also. The Hotel beach Club is pricey but 2 minutes walk away are the local Cherenguito´s (Beach Bars) which serve cheaper food and drinks and provide loungers all geared to the English customers.
The staff were very polite and friendly and spoke very good English and the rooms were light, airy and clean. The bathrooms were also spacious.
The Hotel only loses points because it is very quiet. The plus side is the staff will all remember you by name.
My daughter lives locally and we have now stayed here 3 times.
