Hotel Villasol

i was staying in this hotel for 5 days only which was to be honest was 5 days to many i arrived with my two sons on the monday at around mid-day only to find they didnt know i was arriving the room was well not very clean to be honest i then got into my room 1 hour after arriving at the hotel. only to discover their was only 2 beds in the room so ihad to go & speak to reception for another bed to be put in the room which are not very big. although it wasnt very hot the pool was empty, filthy, & didnt look as if it had water in it for a long... more

My husband and i recently stayed at the Villasol Hotel out of season, we were very dissapointed with the food and felt hungry most of the time, the breakfast was very poor and consisted of mainly bread and fruit. The main meal was of poor choice and overall felt the hotel catered for the Spanish and Italian guests, there appeared to be more of a choice of menu for them. I have just returned from a weekend break (Thursday-Sunday) at the Hotel Villa Sol together with 19 other golf friends and I can only describe the experience as ‘not pleasant and a nightmare’. We arrived about midnight on the Thursday and were informed by the reception that the hotel did not have enough rooms for us all (We had booked this holiday some eight months previous..so lack of knowledge cannot be an excuse). We have just come back From Benalmadena where we stayed at the Hotel Villasol. We were abit apprehensive at first but we needed have worried. We had a sea view room plus pool. The Staff were helpful and pleasant the rooms clean with clean towels and shower gel and soapevery day. Good points : very clean;fantastic views;good location; Poor points : no entertainment over christmas / new year;no variety of food;breakfasts non existant ( english cooked );poor grasp of english language; spanish treated above english; other hotels had guests only entertainment;

just got back me and my wife its was brill clean and very good value for money lots of spanish stay there so what we are in spain . the food was ok but they do watch you so dont get to much beds and room done daly just go out of hotel down the 20 or so steps and your on the front nice walk to torremolinos . john in leigh uk

Just returned from the Villasol. It wasnt the best hotel but we did pay approx 30 pounds for the two of us dinner, bed and breakfast. The room was clean, basic facilties, shower was good and bed was very comfortable. We had a sea view room so that was nice. Rooms have air conditioning at no extra charge. Unfortunately the pool was out of order due to maintencance, dont know how much longer this will go on for, we could not use a pool at a neighbouring hotel also which was annoying. This hotel was very good value for the price of £37 per night for two people for bed breakfast and evening meal. It was clean, with beach views. Entertainment every night. 18 euros taxi ride from Malaga airport.

For the price, we couldn't find anything better and we were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was for 3 stars. the beach is right down the walk and is beautiful. the rooms are comfortable and clean. the cafe and restaurant more than acceptable. we were very very pleased.

We found The Hotel Villasol to be a good competant 3* hotel. The hotel is clean, the rooms are a decent size, the staff are helpful & the food is fine. Plus points are 1. It is very near the beach & promenade (66 steps. There is an alternative route without steps)) 2. Bus Stop outside hotel for those who may wish to venture further afield. Direct to Malaga & Fuengirola etc 3. Cafe/bar in hotel - looked great & not too expensive. - there are a number of bars across the road as an alternative. Slight minus - Pool area not... more
