This hotel can only be described as amazing. Stayed there in July/August 2008 with my husband and 2 children (12 & 10). FOOD There are around 8 places to eat at the Orlando World Centre so there is something for everyone. Breakfast is served in the Solaris restaurant and... more

This is a top class hotel, well worth 5*. From arriving and checking in to checking out, I cannot fault any of the service the hotel gave. We went on holiday with friends who had booked seperately, when we checked in the staff were more than helpful in providing us with... more

The flight was very good and the staff very impressive. The hotel was huge but clean and the rooms were very modern. The large flat screen tv was impressive as was the ability to connect to the internet via a cordless keyboard onto the large tv set. It was my first visit to... more

Tour operator great - sorted out all our complicated wishes and had three hotels altogether during our stay in Florida and this was no problem for them to sort out including car hire and was all relatively easy once we were there. Lake Buena Vista was a moderate hotel no... more

The Marriot World Centre Hotel dominates the Lake Buena Vista skyline and is easily accessible from the main I-4 motorway. It offers a convenient location from which to visit any of the theme parks and this is certainly one of the main advantages to be gained from staying... more

We spent 2 weeks at this fantastic 5 * hotel. We booked our hotel and flights separately on the internet. This hotel is just 5 minutes from Disney and is huge. They upgraded our room when we arrived and we had 2 big beds and a sofa bed for 2 adults and 2 children. The... more

The hotel is situated in Lake Buena Vista, five mins from Disney and fifteen mins from Universal Orlando Resort. The Orlando World Centre is a very large complex, too large you might say. However it rates very highly in my opinion as its of a very high standard in that the... more

World Class Hotel
From March 18th through 23rd 2004, my wife, two months old son and mother have stayed at this huge but welcoming hotel. From the minute we arrived, we felt as if we entered a different world;impressive atrium lobby with panoramic elevators (which operate more efficiently than the ones in the Marriott Marquis N.Y.city),very helpful staff, beautiful landscaped pools with waterfalls, very clean and well appointed rooms with stunning views and a very elegant atmosphere throughout the property. My favourites: the smaller pool in the west wing which is less noisy than the main pool and has beautiful new age music in the background as well as the breakfastbuffet at Solaris restaurant, a feast! (We had breakfast one morning at the Hyatt Grand Cypress for a change and couldn't believe that they were serving a Days Inn-style breakfast in such a hotel). 10/10 from the Bruggeman family from Belgium! Beautiful hotel, a little too big
I posted a similar review on the DIS but we stayed at this hotel from 3/16 - 3/19. The hotel itself is very large and beautiful. As stated before, the $15 valet is almost required unless you want to walk/take the shuttle from the parking garage. The rooms are comfortable, have a safe, hair dryer, two sinks and separate bathroom. Every room has a balcony which is a nice perk. The gym has about 30 state of the art machines and a full service spa. The pool is the largest i've ever seen, and there are probably 4 other pools on the property. We stayed here with a Priceline bid, and we got a wonderful room overlooking the pool on the 4th floor - I had expected a roof or parking lot view. The only real negative I had with this hotel is that if you're going for a vacation, the hotel caters to the business travelers, and the hotel is about 95% full with business people there on a conference. There were people doing business on cell phones in every corner of the building. At night, there were 100 people dressed in business attire going for dinner or a "company" event. If you want to stay somewhere with the "Disney Magic" stay on-site, but if that's not crucial to your vacation, this hotel will be a great choice.
Loved the pool
I spent the last week at the World Center Marriott. I vacationed there with my family from March 14-20. We spent most of our time at the Disney Parks, but the time spent in the hotel was far from boring. My sister and I ate at Solaris one night and the salads were outstanding. The breakfast menu is also very good. (we had the banana creme' brule oatmeal, which was the best I've ever had). There is a sport's bar, a japanese restaurant and an upscale Italian restaurant. The Starbuck's in the lobby was open until 11pm- so that was a plus as well. One thing I need to warn you about is that this is clearly a convention center/business hotel, which urges me to inform you that EVERYTHING is more expensive. Although there were other families there, the majority of the people were suits and ties or golfers. Now for the highlight of the hotel: the falls pool! There were waterfalls everywhere and the water so just the right temperature. There are 4 different hot tubs and the covered one was nice in the rain. Make sure you get a frozen Pina Colada from the Pavillion bar by the pool. (they were excellent) I hope this helps. Oh, and make sure you request a room overlooking the pool above floor 11. (then you get to ride in the cool elevator) Feel free to email me of you have any questions.
Fabulous- convenient to everything
This hotel was perfect! We took a trip to Disney World, but chose to stay outside of the park since we figured we could get a better hotel at a cheaper price! This hotel did not disappoint us at all. The staff was incredibly nice. The room was decorated beautifully. The pool was great! The golf was also good- not to hard but still offered a challenge. We ate at Hawks Landing for dinner and the food was wonderful. The breakfast buffet was also very good. In an attempt to save money though, we at lunch at the Publix a lot, which was right down the road (great sub sandwhiches). The hotel is very convenient to everything. It was a quick 5 minute car ride to Disney World, 5 minutes to the outlet malls, restaurants, and grocery store. One thing that we did, which I highly recommend doing is checking the packages the hotel offers. We put several packages together for our week stay which resulted in a lot of amazing deals. The next time I got back to Disney World, I will definitely stay here.
Awesome
We stayed at the Marriott World Center in early December. When we checked in I mentioned that it was my daughters 13th birthday ~ when we got back from dinner that night there were milk & cookies along with a homemade birthday card for my daughter. The man who checked us in (Jeff), made the card & had all of the staff sign it. It was great experience, and my daughter & I are planning on going back in March. I can not say enough good about it. The only downside would be the parking, but that really is the only the bad thing. It is clean, the pools are great and the staff very friendly.
I can't wait to go back!
I stayed at the Marriott World Center a little over a month ago with my friends and her family. I loved it. It was enormous and was very friendly. I'm 15 so it was very fun for me i didn't even want to leave the hotel. There are so many nice amenitys to this hotel, three or four pools, many hot tubs, spas, saunas, an indoor pool, game room, restrants, giftshops, and food court area. The restrants were a bit pricey but i would reccomend the Champion Sports Bar and Grill they have the yummiest food there and they have pool tabels and big tv's all over the place. They have a little bar thing above the pool and they had really good drinks (yes i did get the non-alcoholic ones) and they have poolside service (were you can order food) and it was just all around wonderful. I enjoyed it alot and should be going back in Febuary with my family. And i can't wait!!!
Beware the hidden costs!!!
Here's one example of the extra costs you may incur during your stay here: If you are taking your kids and they (like our kids)need a video to unwind at night, then be aware that the rooms do not have VCRs, DVDs or video game units installed. You can order movies and video games on a "pay per view/play" basis through the hotel video system, but the selection is limited and you may not find your kids' favorite videos. They will rent you a VCR or DVD player and a monitor (they won't let you hook the VCR up to the room TV). Check out the weekly rates: VHS VCR: $210.00/week DVD: $285.00/week 27" Monitor: $285.00/week So, a VCR and monitor will run you $495. Be prepared to max out your credit cards...
Great Honeymoon Experience
We chose the World Marriott Centre for the beautiful setting (which didn't disappoint!) and also my husband loves fitness and was amazed by the size and equipment of the gym. It took us about 20 minutes to locate the gym and due to the size of the hotel, when you first arrive, you don't feel at ease. However, once we got our bearings, we loved the hotel! Our room, which was modernly decorated, and found staff were very helpfu, apart from trying to talk to the cleaners as they couldn't speak any english. On hearing of our recent marriage, staff offered a free upgrade, followed by a restaurant voucher and also on 2 occasions sent packages to our room, on our first night we received a bottle of wine and strawberries dipped in chocoate and on another, wine plus cheese and biscuits, this was very touching and also gave us a card congratulating us personally signed by each member of staff. For a large hotel, that was very personal and meant a lot to us. We found the restaurants a bit pricy and didn't eat much in the hotel, although we found that the Champions Sports Bar was very lively and a great opportunity to meet 'business' people from all over America. This hotel caters mainly for conventions and you will not find very many 'holiday makers', which actually we liked because there didn't seem to be very many children and the hotel was very quiet, perfect for adults. The trip in the elevator to the top floor was amazing and must be tried! Also, car parking is free. I would definitely go back if we could afford it. One tip for anyone going to see 'disney' and 'univeral' don't buy your tickets before you leave, it is far more cost effective buying them when you are there. hope this helps!
It's a beautiful hotel!
We booked it through priceline and with what we paid, the hotel is great : new, beautiful and the food was good. The only downside was transportation. It cost us USD40/ day to & from the park. When you get it free at other hotels.
One of my favorites
Have stayed here several times. The 2nd or 3rd best pool in the area, maybe only surpassed by Hyatt Grand Cypress and perhaps JW Marriott. Excellent on site choices for dining, veyr nice rooms and covered parking with shuttle service. The staff is great. Huge and very self contained, a perfect getaway for a weekend without doing any theme parks.
