One of the most restful holidays I can remember. Cleanliness, comfort and friendliness all combined to make this a very pleasant experience. The Atlantic views are stunning, the food delicious, plentiful and extremely varied. The swimming pools are clean and impressively... more

On arrival hotel modern, but lacked atmosphere, initial impact of rooms excellent But realised no tea coffee making facilities, no iron, mini bar lacked wine, beer soft drinks only. Concerned re slippery tiles around complex, my 13yr old son did fall on slippery floor in... more

Fantastic Hotel in wrong location
We stayed at the Roca Nivaria Hotel in June 2007 for one week on an all-inclusive basis. The hotel is lovely with great views. The pool area is fantastic. Food is nice something different every night which they cook in front of you. The rooms are very spacious and lovely. The only thing that let this hotel down was the location and night time entertainment. Everyone in bed for 10:30 each night as it is so poor entertainment and the all-inclusive finishes at 11:00pm which doesnt help this. There is no place to walk to even if you... more
Fab hotel area leaves a lot to be desired
Fantastic hotel!! Area leaves a lot to be desired but the hotel runs a courtesy bus to the sister hotel in Adeje so you can escape from the hotel if you so wish! The best part of the hotel for us was the pool area, the hotel rooms and the food, all of which were excellent. I stayed at the hotel with my mum for 1 week just to get away from it all and relax which is exactly what the hotel provided for us, total relaxation and rest! None of the tat and noise that you can associate tenerife with. You should not stay at this hotel if you are... more
Excellent - good for youngsters and yet still cool for adults
I wouldnt usually give my time to writing a review, but am so grateful and impressed with Roca Nivaria that I felt I owed it to them to spread the word. The holiday search criteria of my wife and I was simple – somewhere hot, that felt a little bit special, and with a good creche so that we could relax fully whilst our 14 month fully enjoyed himself with children of a similar age. Our expectations were surpassed – the Hotel itself was much better than we could have hoped for and the staff were all particularly helpful and friendly. The... more
Lovely food lovely Hotel expensive drinks poor staff
A modern hotel which lived up to the description contempory in design . Surrounded by high tower blocks not as the photos show you on the internet, lots of building work in the area, although not too close to the hotel Not much else to do in the surrounding area but if your after a quiet stay fine. Drinks where expensive and bar service was always very slow. Although some staff where pleasant, most in the dining area seemed unhappy and put out when asked for assistance. Be careful with the all inclusive the hotels geared... more
Can't wait to return!
Don't be put off by the approach to Roca Nivaria! There is a hill down to the entrance and on both sides of the road are a small number of supermarkets(useful for buying water, sunscreen etc) run down looking bars/restaurants and a couple of high rise hotels. On the sea side of the hotel there is a wide promenade to walk around. The front of the hotel is rather understated but the reception area is smart and nicely laid out. We found the reception staff to be welcoming, efficient and informative. Rooms: the rooms are modern and well... more
fabulous
myself, my husband & 19 month child had a fantastic week . Our initial nervousness about Tenerife as a location was quickly erased when we reached this fabulous hotel. The hotel was wonderful with excellant facilities for young children, the staff had seemingly endless energy from running the kids club to providing entertainment most evenings. This is also a slight negative in that in the childrens club I felt the adult to child ratio was too low and the staff's lack of childcare experience was evident when it came to dealing... more
good for a young family
we go away for 2 weeks every christmas, stayed at the princessa yaiza on lanzarotte last year so this had much to live up to as a good hotel for grown-ups and also for under 5's. we liked the hotel, new and well laid out. we have two double rooms which interconnected, and even though we were near reception it was quiet and worked well. the staff were great, main pool was heated which is essential at this time of year, and we took the complimentary bus service to the other hotel in the chain every couple of days to get a little beach... more
A great hotel
We (family with 14 and 10 years old children) have spent a great week in this property. We booked one family room, which in fact are two large (really) connected rooms. The property is brand new, staff extremely helpful (especially if you can/try speak some Spanish) and the location is simply superb. It was the first hotel that offered selection of picnic baskets (3 menus) and provides sophisticated food well packed that can be eaten outside. Pool with see water, very well maintained (daily cleaned), heated up to 30C . What you see on hotel... more
Good for Golfers
This is a good hotel for golfers. Rent a car at the airport. Book all the tee times at the reception and you get 10% - 20% discount . Most expensive course is Abama - the 140 Euros is not worth it. Closest good course is Costa Adeje 10 minutes away which used to be a banana plantation. Our golfing highlights were 1) playing Buenavista in the north (1 1/2 hour by car) which you can compare to Pebble Beach. Sometimes the waves clash against ther rocks and the white foam is 30 - 50 meters higher than the greens! Due to all this salty water... more
Lovely hotel
This is a great 5* hotel. We went all inclusive staying in a pool view room. We booked our flights and hotel separtely and saved quite a bit off brochure prices. Flights with thomsonfly and hotel and transfers with Relaxabroad. Agree with some of the reviews but found the food to be excellent and what you would expect from a 5* hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I do think though the hotel lacks some atmosphere but I think this is due to it being newish. Once it builds up its reputation it will be fantastic. Not much to do in the... more
