THis apartment complex was hard to find as it was named Bellavista hotel outside. The apartments were extremely basic with a lot of stuff either missing or broken. The staff were very unfriendly and spoke little or no English. There were no signs in English either. The amenities were closed, when questioned the staff said it was because there were few Spanish there and they would only open them when the Spanish took their holidays!!!!!
All in all very disappointing but at least the weather was great and the local bars/beach etc was nearby. I would not recommend this apartment block to anyone especially with young children as the balconies were not very safe. The pool was only open when the man had cleaned it-in some cases not until after 11 am.

We went twice to this hotel. First as a last minute break in March for 7 days and so impressed we went back again October for 2 weeks. Family of 2 adults & three kids (13, 11, & nearly 2).
Staff very friendly place kept clean. Apartment very comfortable. Fresh linen each day.
English variable. But if you can’t take it stay at home! My two year old learned to say Hola!
It is a modern resort but still very nice, clean beaches and friendly people.
Good selection of foods. Everything in fact but Spanish! Except for Tapas in the bars.
Fresh fruit and veg abounded. Supermercado! Was brilliant. Cold meats? Overdosed! And nice wine (at good prices) at a moderate intake!
See the fight at the Corrido (bull ring) in Almeria once before it’s banned. Last vestige of the Circus Maximus. Gory but still a spectacle. Not for kids, faint hearts or vegetarians!!
Hence only I went!
You can rent a car by the day if (like us) you do not want to be behind a wheel all holiday.
Always feel obliged to drive it if I rent a car. Either way it’s not exorbitant.
Shops are fun. Big or small the choice is yours. Lots of souvenirs and t-shirts if that’s your thing. Or just chill out a relax. The hotel pool is great for the kids (but they do not have a lifeguard) we were out of season both times but still we had a great time.
Will definitely go again and heartily recommend it.

Hi there,
Firstly I would say that these apartments where regularly serviced, new towels everyday.
Reception staff spoke limited English but did do everything to help out promptly that we asked. Location was great - fairly quiet street close to the beach as described.
Kitchen had microwave which was a big help as we traveled with a 3 Month old baby - so great for sterilising bottles etc etc.
Beds were comfortable and rooms spacious - lovely south facing balcony Room 522.
I'd def go again

Fantastic only stayed from Friday to Monday but it was lovely will definitely go back again.
Lovely and clean no oven though just 2 hob rings and a toaster no kettle but saucepans and frying pans but then the food in the hotel was out of this world. Staff did try to be helpful but their English was very limited not much entertainment in the hotel but then we did go on the first day of the season but there was a karaoke bar just outside the hotel to the right.
The beach was kept beautifully clean and was only 5-10 minute walk away and was lined with great bars and restaurants.

this will be our fourth visit to the complex you must check as there are apartments with two bedrooms and single plus some have larger balconies aswell its true that english is little spoken but you are in that part of spain which is nice.
apartments can be basic but are spotlessly cleaned every day with linen and towles you are part of the hotel bellivista mar hotel which is your reception confusing at first but not a problem and all their amenities are for your use aswellyou can eat there but there are so many fab places to go you dont have to... if you go out of the complex and cut through the arena centre which is opposite you will hit the main avenue with all its bars and shops check out the more spanish places such as don jamie, just further down from the supermercado you only need to order a beer and you get the most fab tappas
he also runs alpuhara further down the road food and tappas lovely, breakfasts here are nicer than balix and the service is much quicker, if you walke the beach front or you can get a cab you will hit avenue meditaraneo with the hotel sabinal at the end check out theos bar of a nighttime the red lion, bar santa fey,and the el cotijo the courtyard at the back sells the cheapest drinks of a daytime a cab is only cheap to almeria port harbour the water here is shallow
with lovely tappas bars everywere its a must to go....best time to go may june july....very warm less wind
