just come back from a girly weekend,carnt fault the playamar,comfy and clean,small pool,good bar,ideal spot if using just as a base,fab little cafe below,cheap and cheerful..ideal short stay,would book again,although nothing for kids

hotel very difficult to find as there is only a small sign which is only noticable when you are under it,hotel looks clean from outside but once inside its gets a bit grubby,maid service is very poor,no clean sheets during the week we were there only had clean towels... more

i went to these apartments last summer there was 8 of us including a child at the age of one while we were there we had the lights in one of our rooms go out and then they wanted to move myself and to others to a speperate floor away from the others also in the other room... more

Just come back from a week away at benidorm ther were 4 of us all together. The appartments were fantastic to say we payed hardly anything for them. lovely views and not too far away from all bars pubs and resturants. The maid only came once which was the only thing wrong.... more

We stayed at the Playamar apartments witch was clean with good size rooms. We were told we had a short walk from the apartments to the flamingo Benidorm where we were all-inclusive. This short walk turned out to be 20 25 mins from the apartments. Though there was a shortcut... more

Party of 4 of us went - weather not too good but only to be expected of Feb, sunshine did appear on and off. Accommodation clean and basic, all facilities including cooker, hob, toaster and kettle, no microwave but then we always eat out anyhow - Benidorm is the cheapest... more

on arrival to the playamar my reaction was OHH MY WORD!! it was a dump from the outside. inside wasnt much better. ok the room was clean but when u came in at night there were like mini centipeedy things all over the place and im terrified of creepy crawlys lol. my partner had 2 go in 1st every night i was that scared. the bar was crap an as for snacks available all the time, thatw as a lie. and the pool cockroach central. the location was terrible as well, we nearly got mugged one night only for some passers by. hated the whole stay... more

Was a bit worried before we actually got to benidorm after reading the reviews.But this hotel was excellent.We had no problems other the 7 nights we stayed.Everything was clean in the rooms.Would recommend this hotel for anyone.Will be back again next year for sure. The wrexham crew. more

We stayed here for 3 nights and paid 61 euros per night for the apartment. It was clean and acceptable. Didnt like being on the 21st floor though.
Worst apartments we have ever stayed In from gsfGlasgow
Situated in a horrible back street in Benidorm full of dog mess. The apartment on the 6th floor we stayed in smelled of raw sewrage which was especially bad in the afternoon. The bed linen and towels looked very stained and old and were not changed once during our 7 night stay. Never again!!! more

we,re between the ages of 35-45 and the apartments themselves were very clean and comfortable, but very unsafe on a night time, one of us was mugged and another a man jumped out of the shadows and performed a lude sex act. there is waste ground opposite these apartments and the trouble comes from there....apart from these apartments been a bit of a treck to the beech and a bit too far from the the main strip of pubs its a good place to stay...but not recommended for a group of women more

Stayed on the 9th floor. There is two apartments to each floor as these apartments are built on the end of another set of apartments. They were superb. Kitchen with all the equipment one could need with fridge, lovely tiled bathroom with bathm shower, bidet, sink etc. Bedroom was twin beds with three double wardrobes, all fitted. We stayed at the playamar with three grandchildren, not advisable as nothing for the children to do. Beds were not very comfortable and only saw the cleaner once when she knocked at 6.15pm and left clean towels. The reception and bar staff are helpful fast check in. Roomy apartment we were on 12th floor with a good view from the very roomy balcony. Mixed feelings about the aprtments like I said basic. The surrounding area around was very dirty and unkept. No need to worry from Bigma
After reading a couple of reviews we were concerned about the apartments, however, we had no need to worry. The apartments were exceptionally clean, spacious and supplied everythng that we could have wished for a week's self-catering. A full kitchen complete with grill and oven was ideal. The bathroom fully fitted with bath and shower, as well as a bidet. There was a slight smell in the bathroom first thing in the morning but it disappeared with flushing! I know the price is very cheap so we came to benidorm expecting very basic accomindation, but even for the small amount we paid we still expected some standards. The bathroom let out a very unpleasent smell that lasted the whole 2 weeks, every person we spoke too had the same problem and we all complained but we were all told it would be fixed tomorrow and tomorrow never came! the bedding was stained and grey! trip advisor ian from sunderland we stayed at the playamar appartments and found the rooms good value and very clean along with the drinks which were also good value , You get for what you pay for excellant for a short break adults only not geared up for a family pool small and covered in inscets overall a good base to explore benidorm and only 5 mins walk from main street life more
