DEFINITELY RETURN LOVELY HOTEL
Met up with 3 friends who has booked with Thomas Cook my advice is to book through travel republic its alot cheaper . Staff are very friendly and the location is great very close to restaurants and the beach. The rooms are immaculate and cleaned daily. Yes the air conditioning is £25 per week but you do need it. I have been to Turkey on 2 previous occasions and both times i've paid for air con (go to Eqypt if you want it free). The resort is fantastic plenty of resturants and I would recommend eating at the Ercanhan the meals are excellent. You will not be disappointed if you book this hotel. Thanks to everyone at the Erchanan Alisha and Fiona
all round amazing trip
all in all, the trip to the Ercanhan was excellent, the room was really clean and well maintained but we could have done with one more plug socket, the room was cleaned every day with fresh towels and bed sheets. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful (Murat, Ozai and Emre especially) and were always coming over to have a chat or ask how everything was going. The swimming pools were also very clean and welcoming in the very high heat. The hotel restaurant food is really nice (especially the "Anatolian Kebab") and even though Ozai tries to get you to eat there most nights, it is well worth stopping there a couple of nights to eat, the menu has a massive choice of food and all of it is well made and very tasty. The air conditioning is a little bit extra but is very nice to have in such heat and the rooms have a t.v with freeview (though you wont have much time to watch t.v as there is so much to do in Icmeler). The hotel is situated in a very good area as it is not that far to walk to the bars and restaurants and shops in the main area of Icmeler and is also not far from the Beach. At the end of the holiday, it was difficult to leave all the new friends you make with the staff and I would definately recommend going, whether it is your first time in Turkey or your tenth time,
that was the best times in my life to be there!!!
absolutly perfect nothing can say more !!! ,, staff were so friendly and they cant do more then that,, me and all my mates loved the been there and we ll be there soones possiblee..cheers murat and mehmet and also thanks for fantastic meals ramazan !!
Absolutely fantastic!
I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is so clean and tidy, the staff are so friendly and will do anything to help you. The food is gorgeous (especially the steak!) and reasonably priced. The whole atmosphere is so relaxed and comfortable, just what you need when you're on holiday : ) Fantastic place - can't wait to go back!!
Ercanhan Hotel, Icmeler Turkey
Just returned back from a week here. Great hotel and staff. Rooms are basic, but why would you want to spend time in your room apart from to sleep and to wash when its 40+ outside!!!! Paid £25 extra for air con, well worth it! Staff are very friendly, hotle is spotlessly clean. Great atmosphere! Two pools not massive but big enough to cool of in! The pool at the front has large cushions that you can chill out on during the day. No fighting for sunbeds or reserving them, plenty available all day. Food in hotel is excellent, we ate out at other restaurants and ate there on our last night! Good value for money, would definately return again.
Absolutely Fantastic
Just got back today and never before felt so compelled to write a review. Before i went i read mixed reviews and what utter garbage these were! The rooms are basic, yes, but you get daily maid service, the bathrooms look freshly decorated (complete with hairdryer) and have an enclosed shower. Yes you do have to pay a bit extra for air con but it is worth it when it its 42+ outside! Breakfast is a traditional Turkish breakfast and you can have as much as you like. Coffee and Tea are both available with the breakfast, full english is a suppliment of 7TL. You are told this on arrival - the hotel do not hide this, it is only Thomas Cook who did not mention that B+B meant turkish not english breakfast. The food was probably some of the cheapest in the whole resort but that was not reflected on what you got. Portions were huge! From massive chip butties to turkish meatballs everything was cooked to perfection. The hotel staff were excellent (Emre, Mehmet, Tayfun) but Ozai really made the holiday what it was. Very friendly and willing to help (although he did want us to have Apple Pie every night!!) Definitely better than the 2 Star rating it currently has. Excellent swimming pools and bars. No noise after around 12 'o' clock so this hotel is excellent for all concerned. Fantastic Time spent here, would recomment to everyone.
very bassic
very bassic rooms no facility to make a drink or sandwiches .cleaned on a daily bassis .the staff were ok we was hassled through the day to eat in the appartments restraunt on a night they took a dim veiw if u tried to bring anything in from outside of the appartments in to your room so u could not have a cheap night in if u are on a budget.even if u could sneak anything in there is no fridge to keep it cool anyway.if u want an english breakfast on a morning u have supliment to pay wich was 7 lira each it is cheaper to go down the high street ...all in all 3 out 10 ...will not be going back there EVER.
excellent hotel in great location
how this hotel has only been given two stars is beyond me. Its location is excellent with friendly staff very clean typical accom for bed + breakfast in turkey the breakfast is a typical traditional turkish breakfast but you can buy an english one there or from 1 of the many cafe/restaurant bars close by. The staff are very friendly and the cleanliness is good its close to the beach and bars cafes shops etc. Family well run establishment which recently has been refurbed. Excellent value for money. two pools and table tennis + karaoke nights would definately recomend to a friend and cant understand the bad reviews this hotel has received.
loved every minute
We had a great time and treated really well, everyone is so friendly and made us really welcome-we even had nick names of Jayne and Tarzan!!! We will definately go back and have recommended the hotel to everyone we've talked about it to. So thankyou Ozi,Murat, Mehmet,Bahada ((sorry if ive spelt your names wrong)) and the rest of the staff for making our stay so nice.xx
Hammer house of Hotels..Ercanhell
Do not stay in this horrendous hotel. We never dreamt we could stay in such a shabby & unfriendly hotel with staff who make it quite obvious all they want is your money.Unless you are a young female & they want something else also!! The exception to being treated with contempt by the staff is ( apart from being young, female & mainly blonde as stated above, where you get 5* treatment..Needs no more explaining!!)..if you are one of the'benidorm' families who appear to regularly frequent the hotel, think the staff are your friends & bring them presents & take them for meals!!( yes unbelievably there are people this naive & gullable!)Then stay in this shabby hotel for most of your time & pay the over inflated prices. The staff are lazy, ignorant, rude, bad mannered & unwilling to help in any way apart from take your money. The rudeness of constantly having plates & drinks slammed down, as well as being ignored & generally being poorly treated became so bad we decided to see the owner. He made it plain he did not want to see us (as he counted his money) & ushered us away remonstrating he couldnt understand or speak english. We found this to be a complete lie. After using the so called manager as 'interprator' things actually got worse! We now now became totally ostracised & ignored by all staff (including cleaner!) to the point of intimidation. We saw our rep but decided it wasnt in our best interests to officially complain until we got home for fear of reprisals, so rather than fly home or move hotel we decided to spend most of our time out of the hotel( with the company of alot of nice people we met in hotel of all ages/gender ) but still problems frequently came along... A very intimidating atmosphere was now present for us whenever we were in hotel thanks to the staff. We were practically interrogated whenever bringing back to the hotel our holdall, no matter what the hour. This on numerous occasions just stopped short of being a search!..Despite the so called no food/drink rule, staff ordered then goadingly ate kebab takeaways in front of us, obviously trying to get a reaction. The noise levels at all hours were horrendous. Beers were added to our bill at 04.00hrs one morning & we were forced to pay.( after this we payed up front for everything ). The only hotel i have ever known where no juice, coffee or cereal is available for breakfast. The bar sky tv was faulty. Room walls so thin you picked up any noise. No clean towels for 3 days.Holes in walls.Air con which costs an extra £25pw was wet.No hairdryer point.Chairs on balcony would not part.Bathroom tiny & grubby.Shower 'square' unsafe with no slipmat, pole support for curtain at both ends kept falling down, no where to position shower head. A nightmare for sun lovers due to the hotel mostly always being in the shade thanks to palm trees & buildings. An absolutely unbelievably bad hotel with staff of all levels to match. They only bother when there is something in it for them & cant be bothered with you otherwise. We found that had we looked around hotels, a 4 to 5* was only another £100 for 14days max!! & £300 max for an all inclusive!!( thats per couple!!). What a mistake we made, please do not make the same & avoid staying here. Come back fawlty towers all is forgiven! We may not visit Turkey or Icmeler again now, but if we did we definately wouldnt be staying in the hammer house of hotels..Ercanhell.
