Things to watch out for:
The creepy security guard who shows you to your room then hangs around and stares at you until you give him a tip.
The bar manager who fiddles money and robs you!
The food orders being correct (this is a rare thing).
The alcoholic beverages which come without any alcohol.
The rooms were very clean, however quite dated (think green and blue patterned curtains, matching sofa chairs and paintwork!). The rooms were so clean though...cleaned thoroughly every day, new towels given and the beds were made daily.
The living/dining/kitchen room had a dining table, 2 sofa chairs, sink, fridge, microwave, toaster, glasses and plates etc.
The pool area was also very clean. There is a top and bottom pool which is connected by a slide which was turned on twice a day.
We ate our lunch at the Club Aquarium most days.... I would advise against this. They never got our order right, there was always something missing from the order; for example: chips missing from the pizza and chips; no feta cheese with my Greek salad, another day there was no olives with the Greek salad; one morning I ordered sausage, egg and beans for breakfast and only received the sausage and beans (the egg came half an hour later). We didn't dare risk an evening meal there.
We had 2 evening meals at the sister hotel, the Grand Aquarium. These were both lovely and the restaurant staff there are great!
Drinks at the Club Aquarium bar were not great. A small bottle of water was 2 lira, a beer was 4 lira and a vodka and orange was 8 lira. The spirit drinks were very very weak - stick to the beer!
When you arrive at the Club Aquarium, you are asked to put money on to a personal wrist band/fob. You have to use the fob to pay for drinks, food and goods from the shop. The bar and shop do not accept any cash. After you have purchased anything, you receive a receipt showing you what you have bought and the remaining balance. This is where I need to warn you of the problems we experienced. We were warned by a couple of guests to keep an eye on the balance on our fobs because they had previously had problems.... one guest had ordered a drink, but when he checked his received he noticed that he had been charged for 2. When he questioned the bar manager about this, he explained that he had 'just kept one on tap for him'. We had a similar problem when we ordered a round of drinks, I noticed the balance on my receipt had gone down considerably even though the recepit only showed one round of drinks. I had to go to reception to ask for a full receipt history, and this is where I discovered the bar manager had been charging me for things which I had not ordered or received! The receptionist was reluctant to give me the full receipt so I wouldn't be surprised if this happened on more than one occasion. Please please please keep checking your receipts and balance!!
These apartments have the potential to be really nice if just the bar and restaurant improved a lot.
I was told by 2 groups of guests who visited Club Aquarium last year that it was amazing last year but a lot of the staff have left. Bring them back to improve the place!!!

stayed at club aquarium this year and had a great time staff very friendly adem and oscar were great guys hotel very clean but found rooms a bit small for two adults and two teenage boys not enough storage space i left most of my clothes in suitcase but it did not spoil my opinion of hotel it was very nice liked idea of putting money on watch so you didnt have to carry money on you while you stoped around hotel found food very good in icmelor but the best food was at hotel not over priced great value for your money . you have a good walk to icmelor in daytime we got taxi as it was very hot hitting 42 but at night it was a nice walk as it was cooler we visited grand aquarium on free bus nice hotel but not as quiet as club aquarium would go back again but not in august as it was to hot

just stayed a week at the club aquarium,wich i only booked the week before,have to say it is as good as all the reviews say,rooms small but very clean,pools lovely,food the best weve had in icmeler and this is our 3rd visit!!!!the staff realy lovely,not pushy just friendly,and as my daughter is a very mature looking 13yr old was great the bar/waiting staff wasnt learing at her in her bikini.....only thing that spoilt it for us was by 7am every single sunbed was reserved!!!and some wernt used untill late afternoon,i realy think the management should address this,we have holiday,d in turkey for the last 9yrs and this is the first time weve come across this,carnt even blame the germans as was all english staying there!!!apart from this we would definatly go back.

The Club Aquarium is one of the best holidays ive been on in ma life.It was spotless and the food was brilliant.All the staff were very friendly especially oscar and adam. We would certainly go back again.
No complaints from us .

Myself and my partner Terry (Joseph) stayed at Club Aquarium for one week 3rd to 10th May 2010. We had a brilliant time it was early in the season so was quiet and relaxing; all staff were very friendly yet very professional. This accomodation is self catering but has a bar and restaurant, the food was excellent and reasonably priced, drinks were priced the same as in the centre of Icmeler. We would especially like to thank Ismail the restaurant waiter for looking after us, we missed saying goodbye as the bus arrived earlier than we expected. We would definitely return and will recommend Club Aquarium to friends and family.

Another great holiday here at the club this is our 4th time here and we still want to come back next year your holiday will be the time of your live but there will always but one thing to make it better which is the bar men ozgure and Adem they made our holiday the resort is nice and your veiw from your balcany whereever you are will be beautiful. We come in a party of 12 the trips are always a good laugh we did the jeep safvary and the boat trip ozgure come along to the voat trip with us other all the holiday once again was the holiday that anyone could of. Dreamed of we are still thinking of comeing back next your for more sad tears at the end of your holiday

I holidayed here with my family (4 of us) in August this year (2009). This was our first time in Turkey and it wont be our last it was GREAT. The hotel was great rooms a bit on the small side but once you got used to them they were fine. Staff were really friendly espacially Osgur and Adem behind the bar, the meals at the hotel were excellent value for money and really nice, you must try a mixed desti FAB!!
We are already looking into booking up next year Can't Wait.:0)

Just got back for 2 weeks staying at the club aquarium and have 2 say was the best place ive ever been. Me my Friend and our boyfiends stayed in the apartments and had no trouble at all the rooms are pretty basic but how much time do u really wanna spend in ur room on holiday. There was only 2 of us in each apartment but they do sleep up to four i would say it would be a too cramp for 4 adults but with children should be fine. The only downside is that the air conditioning is only free at certain times( 6am -11am & 6pm-9pm i think) so if u want it on all the time its £30 a week!
In the mornings ull need to get up early if u want a sunbed the hotel says no towels before half 7 but no one takes any notice and there were sometimes towels our by half 6! and also there were no where near enough sunbeds but they did say they were going to try to get a few more.
Another good thing is that u get a wristband or 'Rolex' as they called them to put money on to pay for everything in the hotel and the sister hotel Grand aquarium, you can top up as much as u like and they will give you back whatever you dont spend at the end of your stay or whenever u want it this was really useful so that u didnt have to worry about leaving money around the pool
The bar staff were abousolutly fabulous and made our holiday especially Adem and Osgur,and they could never do enough for u. The food served there is really nice and was better than most of the resturants in town and also very resonable.
A trip to the Icmeler market is also a must on a wednesday but beware u will be hassled A LOT but ur bound to get some bargins, always say ull pay half of whatever they say the price is.
over all we were so sad to leave as we met some really lovely people there and will hopefully be going back next year!

was at this apartment in june with my partner and 2 kids,had a great time,rooms cleaned every day,food was great,and the staff oscar adam and ronaldo were great with the kids and also done our table up with party stuff for my partners birthday,we had a ball and have booked up for 2010,hope all the staff are there.xkelly

My wife Linda and I with 2 Friends Keith and Rhona have just come back from the Club Aquarium and had a really great holiday. The rooms were very adequate for 2 and were cleaned every day and had clean towels every day. The bar staf Oscar and his crew were excellent and nothing was to much trouble for them. We will definatelyt will go again. Maybe later in the season
