Irme Hotel

we stayed at the irme hotel from 18th sept. for 2 weeks.We did not expect much as it was only 2 stars but reading reviews we were expecting friendly staff.That is not the case unless you stay around the small pool and drink there beer.The rooms are very small but exceptional clean.Would not stay there again but would go back to Turqurtreis tomorrow fantastic place.

We have stayed in four different hotels in Turgutreis over the past 8 years and this is the worst. Our friends who recommended the hotel to us ( they have returned for the last 15 years) apologised and said that they would not be going back. The place was dirty, the staff uninterested and lazy ( the only time they smiled was when the manager's English wife and kids were around), rooms are half cleaned daily and the view from the rear rooms are roof terraces of apartments six feet away. We had to ask for the bed linen and towels to be changed and one the second week they changed only one of the towels. I would highly recommend that people stay away from this hovel and go to other hotels in the area. We are definetely returning to Turgutreis next September as we do every year.

we stayed at the irme first two weeks aug. though it was basic it was cleaned everyday i must admit sometimes a little early when youre not getting in till near 5, as was the norm from day one, we didnt normally surface to 10.30. so cant comment on how the breakfast was. staff seemed friendly enough spent everyday at the beach so only used the hotel for sleeping &the rest, nothing in the rule book says you must stay there daily.had some chips oneday which where made from frozen dissappointed but the food was edible. someone mentioned (giggsy) that guy was a pest from day one, why you not coming to my restaurant .like a bl---dy mozzie at you daily, till he took the hint. might have went had he not been so annoying. hes not being friendly!! just wants youre business, overall we enjoyed our stay and would reccomend it to anyone as long as they know it is basic

Have just got back from 2 weeks holiday at the Irme Hotel, Turgutreis, and for anyone going to stay there you are in for a treat. The hotel is lovely. Spotlessly clean and the staff are all really friendly, they couldn't do enough for us. There is a great swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds round it, and also a shaded area near the bar for when the Turkish sun is just a little too hot (it reached 47 while we were there). It is only 2 minutes from a small beach or if you go the other way it is only about 5 minutes to the famous 'bar street' with loads of shops, restaurants and bars. We had lots of lovely meals while we were there but must give a special mention to COOL BREEZE BAR & RESTAURANT. Really great food and very well run by Sam, Arnie, etc. Also a special mention to 'Giggsy' who often came to the Irme Hotel and would come back with his car at night to give us a lift to Cool Breeze. The food was so good that we ate there about 5 or 6 times out of the fortnight. All in all a brilliant holiday in Turkey at the lovely Irme Hotel.

When I booked this holiday I did not have very high expectations, the Irme is after all only a two star hotel. However, I could not fault the hotel or the staff. It is small but has everything you need, there is a poolside bar that also sells food. A pool table, table tennis and a very nice swimming pool. Breakfast is simple but perfectly adequate, olives, bread and jam, melon, hard-boiled eggs. This is a family run hotel and all the staff are very friendly. The cleanliness of the hotel is excellent it is spotless. The rooms are cleaned daily to a very high standard. The rooms themselves are small but again adequate. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom, a TV, a small balcony and air-conditioning (£20/week) but worth it! The hotel is also well situated right opposite the marina and only a 5-minute walk into the centre of town and the beach. All in all the Irme won’t disappoint, we paid under £500/couple for a two week stay. This was very good value for money. I would definitely recommend the Irme to anyone who is looking for a simple, friendly, quiet base for their Turkish holiday.

We first came to Irme in 1996- my husband, myself, my 2 sons daughter and my son's friend'. At the time they were aged, 15,15, 10 and 8. We had a great time. Didn't return again until 2003 just because we thought we'd see other places in turkey, but came back in 2003, this time with youngest son. by now aged 16 and his friend and just me and my husband. Again had a fanastic time.Boss man and his wife and staff are so welcoming. Also turgetreis is such a great place tovisit, not too busy but still with a good night life and near enough to bodrum if you want the bustle and shoppping. this August 2006 I am returning again to Irme, just with my daughter, now 21 and newly qualified as a nurse who wants a restful but fun holiday before she starts work and my 19 year old son, who is coming after his 1st year at university. Husband can't come due to golfing!!! Though we will have already had a holiday in July. My son's friends couldn't decide where to go so he thought he@d come with us as he loves Turgetreis and so many people remember him.. When he first went in 1996 he met a young lad on the beach (Turkish) who lived in london and Luke ws there again 3 years ago. If you want a great Turkish holiday, in friendly, clean accomodation--- come to the Irme! We have friends who have come here evey year for the last 6 yars or more, one being a single mother and her daughter and they too recomment it- it is so safe

Just got back from Turgutreis. Hotel Irme was dreadful. Had booked a large room, which they gave away two hours before our arrival apparently. Was given a small, grubby room, no view, hard bed and pillow. Manager unhelpful. Rep complained on our behalf, then staff all ignored us. Got a move next day to Reishan, excellent. DO not go to Irme Hotel !!!

I stayed in this Hotel in August and it was brilliant, the staff were lovely and they couldn't do enough for us anything we wanted. The Hotel its self is basic but very clean and it just proves that you don't need to spend lots of money on flashy hotels as all of our party had a really great time. It was my first visit to Turkey and I will definatley be back next year!! Kelly from Newtownards

A friend and I have just returned from a week at the Irme hotel in turgutreis and I can honestly say that it is the best discovery I have made in years. The staff are so friendly and cannot do enough for you. The hotel is ideally located opposite the new marina just a pleasant stroll from the centre of the resort. This 2 star property has a reasonably - sized swimming pool and sunbathing area that is great to relax in after a hot and busy shopping trip in town. The rooms are simply furnished but pleasant and clean. I am looking forward to returning as soon as I can !!

Small friendly hotel, just accross the road from the new marina. Ideally suited for a relaxing time during the day, and only a short walk to a more hectic life. Owners very pleasant and hospitable, English speak host with English wide. Always available to share a drink with you. Ideally suited if you want a break away on your own, while I was there I met a lady in her 60's who had stayed 8 weeks on her own, and was coming back again in September. Lots of lovely restaurants in and around the area. One of my favourites was the restaurant in the park, lovely view overlooking the beach, very friendly. Going back again in June for another visit.
