I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone! It was perfect. The only thing I didn't like about Rhodes Town was the wind, but that was not really that much of a problem and it certainly wasn't cold. The view from our hotel was amazing. The room was nice and clean. The pool was nice, it was empty most of the time (mainly, I think, because it was so cold when you got out because of the wind!). It didn't take long to walk from the hotel to the historical part of Rhodes Old Town. We were bed and breakfast and the breakfast was nice, usual cakes, meats, cheese, eggs, dodgy bacon, beans, etc. I had a croissant every day! We had a couple of snacks at the hotel bar, one being kebab with Tsaziki and it was soooo cheap and absolutely delicious. The only reason we didn't eat there more often was because there were so many gorgeous restaurants in Rhodes Old Town.
I think there is something for everyone in Rhodes Town. I absolutely loved it. There is the culture, amazing restuarants, lovely beach, good shops, a couple of nightclubs (we didn't venture into these!)......We had some of the best cocktails ever tasted in Rhodes. We went on a great train ride (always busy). The beach directly in front of our hotel was nice, but very windy (they call it windy beach!), but just around the corner it was just as nice and no wind. The historical sites in Rhodes Old Town are the best I've seen anywhere! Brilliant! There is an aquarium which is cheap and good to have a wander round. We had one rainy day and did this on that day. Blue Lagoon Pirate Bar is brill and the drinks are lovely. I can imagine kids would like it in there. There is a pool in the bar and parrots flying around! We did a boat trip to Lindos which was long, but worth it. The Lindos Acropolis is worth a visit and the beaches are lovely.
