Please please please don't listen to all the bad review's about this hotel, Myself and my wife stayed at the Samoa for what was a fantastic weeks holiday and the staff couldn't have been more helpfull. The rooms were cleaned everyday and we had fresh crisp white towels and the rooms smelt nice too. The food was fantastic and you could have as much as you wanted and the deserts were also great and at times it was difficult to pick which one to have. There were a big swimming pool and the beach is about a 10-15 minute walk. We were very pleased with everything and are planning on going back to this very hotel next year.

Nice hotel, friendly staff and fairly clean rooms. I traveled with my boyfriend and it was our first holiday abroad as a young couple. i have to say we were very dispointed with the food! if you like Pork then your fine!! but pork everyday gets very boring!! and Veil. I basically lived off pasta for the whole week, it was only thing i found safe, i dont think my dog would have ate some of the dishes. The location is beautiful, if you are lucky enough to get a sea view room its wonderful! we were really impressed with the location. Although as a young couple in their early 20's we found that there was nothing to do!! So if your looking for a fun filled holiday with lots to do, its probley not the best place to go. I did choose calas de mallorca because i wanted to have a nice relaxed holiday but i found it a little too dull. Now for the entertainment! Shocking! its very poor. saying that the entertainers thought they were doing a good job. all in all an Average! holiday!

A pleasent hotel, accomodation is a bit basic and needs refurbishment, but is very clean and staff are very helpful and polite. The only down side we found was the entertainment, great for children they will love it, but not sure about the adults.food was ok but we have had better and worse. lets just say a bit repetitive.all in all an enjoyable relaxing holiday and the bar staff are to be recommended for there efficient service.Just a word of caution if you miss the early morning breakfast on your last day dont order the packed breakfast as it consists of four slices of stale bread piece of ham and cheese, two bottles of water, two oranges and two black bananas, unfit to eat. But there again it was our last day.

Be warned!... if you get to stay at the Samoa you'll probably have a lovely time in a beautiful resort... but if they are overbooked... sorry the ceiling is leaking/problems with the toilets/sewerage etc etc you will be shipped to the Culumba in Can Picafort... not the quiet romantic resort booked!... it's not a 4 star and only has 3 swimming pools (you have to cross the road to get to 2 of them)... no tennis or mini golf etc.
Staff at Culumba where really lovely but surely they must be tired of going through the tirade of annoyed holiday makers by now!

we went to this hotel 27th june for 1 week when we arived at the hotel after a 2 hour transfer from the airport to be told you have to be moved to another hotel. they said do to plumbing proplems, their was about 10 of us load rubbish They said we will get a taxi to our sister hotel 20 minuits walk from the beach And it is cheaper to book that other hotel I went mad we have paid to stay in this hotel i am not moveing we paid £1,800 for 2 adults and 2 children She then handed me some keys the rooms are very small they had bunk beds at one end and 2 singles in the middle You could not swing a cat the bathrooms were very nice The hotel was clean the food was good and the entertainment was rubish
As the days went by they were sending about 40 people a day up to the other hotel And their was only about 20% of english in I will Never return to the samoa

I booked this hotel for me and my young son, we arrived at midnight and were told that we had to move to another hotel because some rooms had to be 'locked!' It turned out that they do this all the time, get you to book this more expensive hotel and then move you to a crappier one outside the town. I met a woman who had persisted that she wanted to see the locked room, and they then just gave her a room. A shocking experience, I do not recommend booking this hotel, very unethical practices going on there.

Hotel The hotel is situated off the road with its own area for buses etc to enter the hotel. The hotel is situated central to the shops and also a short walk to the beach.
Reception area . Quite spacey with several places to sit. Reception staff very helpful.
Swimming Pool This is nicely situated and catches the sun all day loads of loungers but the backs cannot be adjusted so therefore quite uncomfortable. Suggest going over the shop and buy cheap airbeds. The bed run starts quite late compared to other hotels and up to 10am you would be able to get space. A life guard is present throughout the day.
Bar areas, There are 2 bars open in the hotel one open all day the other opens at 9pm. Bar staff very friendly and tries hard, expect to queue at the bars. The beer/lager at the hotel is quite strong like all the other alcoholic drinks they provide, also a very big local selection of local alcohol. Some nice touches in the bar where they provide slush puppies, tip tops for free. Cold chilled water provided free at the bar and other parts of the hotel. The bar policy is 2 drinks per customer but they will serve you three.
Grounds the area is quite clean but suffers from loads of ants in the outdoor entertainment area. The hotel has Tennis courts, a good amusing crazy golf course which is worth a try.
Rooms Spacious although slightly dated. Room’s clean and cleaning staff very friendly. Bathroom could do with extra shelves. A good air conditioning system in every room and a remote is required to adjust (deposit of 10 euro’s required).
Entertainment Well must admit the outside entertainment they provide a few times in the 2 weeks stay were good , but as for the animation team on other nights words can’t express it other than total rubbish. Day entertainment there was rifle shooting, Shuffleboard, archery etc it was quite difficult to understand what was happening, in the last day they decided that to get people to take part they would have to walk around informing people what was actually going on.
Restaurant Well at first food was nice and pleasant and again the staff marvellous but as the days went on it was hard to get a table in the restaurant. The food started to repeat itself on most nights and in the end started to eat in snack bar.
Snack bar the food in the snack bar was lovely and food always warm and quite fresh, Tables was always clean. Try the burgers they cook they are beautiful.
Resort Facilities A good compact shopping area and things like towels, shorts etc very cheap not worth taking them out buy them there. Beware although the shops are very compact, prices for some things vary big time.
You can catch a local bus to Porto cristo for 2.15 euro’s (single) and from there is a good bus route to loads of places. The bus to Cristo and back, calls at dracs caves so no need to use tour prices to get there.
Also there are boat trips to other places along the coast one is for 24 euro’s return takes you several places, worth the money but you are on the boat a long time and also take your swimsuit because it stops for you to have a short swim.
Summary of Holiday Nice reasonably size resort, bus service to Porto cristo quite regular, local beach gets crowded but nice and sandy. To and from airport can be anything from 45 mins to 2 hours. Hotel very nice got loads of plus, staff being a real positive (Daughter ill on hols staff could not do enough to get a doctor etc. Her illness was not in any way related to the hotel) rooms clean lifts always working although kids pressing all floors did slow the system down. Pool area always clean. The only downs for me and my party were the food being repetitive and the animation team being very poor.
I would like to remind people that this was my parties view; there were people we met who have been returning year after year. If the food and the animation team were better it would be a very good hotel.

We have just come back from a weeks holiday in the hotel samoa and had a great time. hotel was lovely and well maintained, good choice of food at the buffets, staff were friendly and helpful and who could forget the generous helpings of spirits in your drinks. beach is a stone throw away and is gorgeous. rooms are basic but clean and all you need. only downside we experinced was the weather a couple of days, but thats not always guaranteed. resort is small and quiet but ideal for a relaxing holiday.

we have just returned from a two week break in the Samoa as a group of 12, age ranging from 11 months to 64 years. After reading some of the bad reviews I was a little worried before we arrived, but our stay was lovely, although the transfer was a long one! the hotel was great for the kids, right near the beach and the main shopping centre was across the road from the hotel. The resort was a little quiet but there are a few bars around that we enjoyed especially the kareoke bar and Sinatras bar was good when the live band were playing. There was a really good choice of food although after 2 weeks it does get repetative and would have been good if the snack bar opened till later as we would often get takaway pizza from across the road. we enjoyed a bus trip to cala dor and as a family of four this cost us approx 30 euros, we also visited one of the markets in felarichi but found some of the market workers a little pushy and quite expensive. the shops directly infront of the Samoa are also more expensive than the ones further in the square so its worth looking about for gifts. All in all we throughly enjoyed our holiday...very relaxing..and its worth exploring as along the cliffs to the right of the beach we found a fantasic beach that was great for snorkeling. enjoy

after reading the reviews on this hotel i was worried about going but once i got there i realised all the bad reviews must be all fussy people. the hotel is really nice, the pool is a good size and there is always spare sun loungers. the entertainment is brilliant all day and night the animation team were brill they did a great job. matteo, alexandra, maya, nan and fabio made the holiday great. the food was good always loads on. the main meat is pork lamb and fish. lots of choice and loads of deserts. you could only get two drinks at a time but after a day or two you could get three or four. the staff are really friendly and helpful we are defo going to the same place next year
