We have just returned from a week at this hotel. On arrival I thought I might not enjoy my week but how wrong was I. It was lots of fun. Not usually my sort of thing but the children loved it and I decided to get into the spirit!
Our children are 6,5 and 2. It was a struggle to get the girls into the kids club on the first day but eventually they stayed and loved it! They cried when we had to come home!!! Thanks to Steve and the team - my daughters loved you all!
The food was good - a mixture of spanish, english, german food. Lots of it. Breakfast so much choice - loved the freshly squeezed juices!
There were lots of children and it's not a place I would go if I were just a couple. There were some retired couples there who were complaining and not enjoying themselves very much. There is an adults only pool but it was not heated and on the main thoroughfare to the mini club and playground from the main plaza restaurant.
For the children there was the mini club, a fab sandy playground, a big heated pool, a small heated paddling pool near the playground, drinks on tap, baguettes, cakes, ice cream when required! And pasta, chips, hotdogs, burgers if your kids like that sort of stuff.
For the parents there's tennis, darts, volleyball, swimming pools, a well equipped gym and a lovely spa for massages etc. I only discovered this on the last day otherwise I would've been bankrupt!
The entertainment at night was varied. At 8pm there is a mini disco in the discotecque (ok so it's the same every night but the children LOVE that!). At 9.15pm every night they have an awards ceremony for the 'winners' of the day. The kids loved that too! On stage with their certificates - so proud! And they loved the entertainment (even if we didn't!).
And 'Shine On' was the song - you get to hear it all the time - so much so we have been playing it on you tube for the children and they've been doing the routine!
You get the most out of this resort if you chill out, relax, and join in. Any British reserve should be left at the door. I just wish we'd stayed for 10 days or 2 weeks. I wasn't ready to leave.
Thanks you Suite Atlantis!
- Advice: Didn't really leave accomodation much! What we saw was OK...

Well first of all I would ignore all the bad reviews that you have read on this hotel. We went for two weeks self catering and had a great time. The hotel was really clean and the majority of the staff were friendly and helpful especialy the thomas cook rep (Ali)and there is also a great animation team to keep the children happy. We went in September so the hotel wasn't too busy and there was plenty of beds free round the pools. The only problem with the hotel is that because we were self catering most off the hotel was all inclusive therefore there was no prices up for the food and drinks, I do think that this hotel is more for all inclusive. The hotel beach isn't very good but the beach that the free hotel bus takes you to is fantastic. The main part of Corralejo is about a 20 min walk and just a 3.50 euro taxi ride from the hotel and there is plenty of shops and places to eat. Myself (22) and my boyfriend (23) had a fantastic time and would deffiently return.
p.s make sure you take insect repellent becasue there are mosquitoes.

Have just returned from a week's break at this hotel. As I work at a school my husband and I have to holiday during school holidays, which is a pain nevertheless. This hotel was overrun with children both during the day and night. Meal times were horrendous as was trying to relax in the evening. Although there is a 'relax' pool on site, you were crammed in like sardines and not the ideal place to 'relax'. The entertainment was poor (one watch one adult evening session which started with 15 minutes of slap stick comedy more geared to 5 year olds. Felt like we were staying at a holiday camp. Suites too closely built together, whole complex very cramped. Although there was a private beach you still had to pay for sunbeds and parasol on it. Nearest decent beach quite a distance. All very good providing a courtesy bus to sand dunes and and tell you to use the facilities at hotel Rui (for which you have to pay), we paid for Atlantis all inclusive and did not expect to keep paying out for other facilities.
The food was excellent as was the cleanliness and the weather.
For an all inclusive hotel is was definately not a 4/5 star. Felt aggrieved at having to pay a 70 euro deposit on arrival for two beach towel and safety deposit box. Okay you got them back at the end of your holiday, but who wants the money back at the END.

This was a spotless clean resort - a little remotely located for my liking but our "suite" was very clean, spacious and situated at the "relax pool" area which was great for couples as no children were allowed in this pool. We were on holiday with my son, his wife and 5 year old grand-daughter who were based at the main pool area. There wer a further 2 pools and all areas were extremely child-friendly. The food was excellent - best ever holiday food! Fabulous choice (I kid you not) - everything you could think of and beer or wine with your meal - but be prepared for lots of children in the dining areas. I think a week would be long enough unless you have kids yourself. Perhaps it would be a better for couples to steer clear of school holiday period if they were thinking of going here. Poor beach area but too windy anyway (it's a windy island) - Fuerteventura = "strong winds". But would recommend this place for relaxing and for the food.
- Advice: Corralejo is a bit remote.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two weeks all inclusive with our 2 and a half year old.
I have stayed in some excellent resorts in my time but I cannot get over how clean this place was! Top top marks for cleanliness!
Food in the dimond room (our son called it this instead of dining room!) was very very good. Something different on every night, except for sweets which were the much the same type of cakes but very tasty! I'm sure I've put a stone or two on during our stay!
The heated pools were like a bath... lovely... even in 30 degree heat!
A couple of minus points were that only one bar was open during the day as it was off peak but we weren't aware of this when we booked. The beach across from the hotel was very disapointing but the beach that the shuttle bus takes you to is very nice. Sometimes the food in the top of the trays would be very cool so it was worth digging to the bottom... deffo one thing the chefs should be doing better... especially the veg.
Before we had our son, I would have hated this hotel... full of kids. But, when you have them of your own, it's the best place to go!
Animation team were very good and my son loved the nighly mini disco. I can still hear the tunes in my sleep!
Would recommend highly for families.
- Advice: No... we travelled round the island and would have liked to have stayed in Costa Calma. Much greener

I holidayed with a group of 8 retired girls, ages 59 to 75, looking for some sun, a bit of shopping, sightseeing, good food and a place to relax for a week and we found it all at this hotel and resort.
Our hearts sank when we saw the huge building site at the back of our rooms, just typical, but soon discovered that there was no work going on at all and it really wasn't a problem. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean with daily room service, fresh towels etc, nothing was too much trouble.
The pools were simply wonderful with choice of fun and noisy or quiet and relaxing and 2 were heated.
The variety of food was excellent with different choices at each meal, fish and meat were cooked as you waited and there were delicious cakes and puddings. Although you had to pay for named varieties of alcohol there was no need to as the local ones were fine, especially with mixes, try the excellent la mumbas (hot or cold).
Take the free bus to the dunes and walk back along the beach, it's fantastic. Catch a local bus to Cotillo, to see the harbour and old town, there's not much there but the bus trip is interesting and gives a flavour of the countryside. There's an excellent French Patisserie with mouthwatering cakes and good coffee.
Walk to the market at the Baku Waterpark (Friday and Monday), it's colourful and friendly and we picked up some lovely goodies.
There's another market in the little shopping centre on the main road into Corralejo on Sunday, more arts and craft stalls.
Corralejo itself has some interesting shops once you get off the 'Blackpool mile' and the harbour and seafront is lovely.
Although the weather could have been better ( we had some overcast days and showers) it didn't stop us having a wonderful time and when the sun came out there was no nicer place than the poolside at this hotel. The gardens are full of exotic plants and trees and cactii and are very well maintained.
All round it was an excellent holiday, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
Were I to return to Fuerteventura I would like to have a hire car for a few days to look around the island and I would have liked to have visited Los Lobos and sailed to Lanzarote. Next time perhaps. I would stay at this hotel again.
- Advice: Corralejo has more to offer than I first thought, take some time to wander about
- Activities: Dont miss the sand dunes and the walk back to the hotel.

arrived at hotel on the 7 jan 09, lovely beaches on the way to the hotel. the hotel is lovely and clean, the suites we had were lovely, as we were self catering we had cooker, fridge etc, very clean, maid came every day, lovely complex well looked after even security walking around in the pm..there are a few swimming pools 2 are quite warm, there are places to eat on the complex,if u are all inclusive, we opted out of this as it was expensive to upgrate, the entertainment was good also were it was held, it was very modern.a shop on sight, not badly price, we did take food with us which made it worth while eg, bacon, crisps and chocolate for the kids as it does get expensive.. the town is lovely loads of bars, shops beaches, its lovely by the harbour bit too, would have been better to hire a car and visited jandia, maybe next time.
we visited the 2 chineses eat as much as u like £8.50 each well worth it, there is a place called the plaza where the kids can play while u wait for ur food, we tried all the diffrent dishes there, the curry house was the dearest eg £137 for 4 adults and 4 kids a drink each a curry and rice each chutney tray and nan bread, yes we fell off our chairs when the bill came...it was very windy in the pm but we took loads of hoodies but very hot in the day but still windy..lovely place and staff would def go back well worth the money..
- Advice: go its fab,
- Activities: beaches, chinese eat as much as u like, but plenty of eating out places and bars

I went here in Feb 08, with my partner and 3 year old son. I have to say the whole complex is so clean, the food was amazing and so much drink. It was a really nice relaxing hotel, the rooms were clean (a few ants but hey they didnt bother us), the private beach was ok but not good for small ones to actually get into the sea, so we walked round to the next area which wasnt a problem. The staff were very friendly and polite, we went on a trip to Oasis park to see the sea lions crocodiles and ride on the camels its was a fantastic day. We liked so much we are going back in Dec 08.

The hotel was lovely and clean and the staff were very friendly. The food in the restaurant was lovely for the first few days of our stay then the food become very repetitive. I found that the childrens mini club in my opinion isnt supervised enough as in the first week there were a few incidents were my young daughter was struck by some of the spanish children and became distressed and wouldnt go back. The mini disco can be summed up in one word boring as it was the same four songs night after night for 2 weeks. Also be aware in the hotel that when having a shower the water can go from cool to scorching hot as my husband found out which resulted in him injuring his back due to the shock of the sudden temperature change in the water which resulted in the second half of our holiday being ruined as we were limited to what we could do as a family.Overall lovely and clean hotel, friendly staff but in general as a holiday not a lot to do and wouldnt go back again altogether pretty dissapointing.

Just returned from 2 weeks stopping in this hotel with my husband and 3 kids aged 13, 11 & 6. All 3 loved it and didn't want to leave. The hotel rooms are spacious and very clean as it was cleaned every day. The hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful. The entertainment staff made the holiday for my kids as they were so good with them all. I would definately return to this hotel and would recommend it to anyone asking about it.
