For a truly 5* experience this is it. The hotel is at the top of a hill away from noise and bustle. The architecture and furnishings are very elegant and the gardens are beautifully kept. Our room was huge with lovely big bathroom with separate shower room, lavatory and bath.
Service from all staff is friendly and attentive. Buffet breakfast is superb with generous and interesting choices. Evening buffet likewise or you can try a couple of restaurants within the hotel or visit other restaurants nearby.
A full programme of activities is provided daily during the week including Pilates classes water aerobics etc., guided walks, scuba diving, childrens club, live music every night.
Two of the 6 swimming pools are set aside for small children. There were quite a few families with babies or toddlers and they seemed to be having a great time. Us oldies were also very well cared for.
If you're looking to sit by the pool, eat good food and enjoy being waited on then this is a great hotel to do it in.

I just came back from the Vincci la Plactacion. It's a new 5* we read about and after researching different agents we found one which was around £300 cheaper than everyone else! When we got there the hotel was gorgeous!
The room was beautiful and the service and food was fantastic. We normally stay at the Sheraton la Caleta in Tenerife which we also love, but this made a new change and we will definitely go back.
We will be recommending both hotel and agent to everyone we know!

Some of the previous review is accurate. It is at the top of a hill and sometimes the pool glasses were not cleared immediately however we would not recognise the hotel that we stayed at from the rest of the review!
The hotel is gorgeous, the public areas are huge and tastefully decorated, the rooms are well appointed and we stayed in a villa with a fantastic private Jacuzzi on the roof!
The toiletries were fantastic, Hermes for the men, and were replenished daily. The turn down service was so punctual that it actually became annoying (and came complete with chocolates!).
We found the food at the pool reasonably priced and perfectly adequate. The room service was excellent and amazingly quick and again not over priced. The buffet restaurant was not particularly inspiring but not bad and the breakfasts were terrific. The 'gourmet' restaurant was very good.
The hotel has a good gym and an excellent spa. The entertainment was in keeping with the standards of hotel i.e. musicians or jazz groups. Staff were pleasant and accommodating.
We would say that this hotel is suitable for couples or those with older children although it does have a kids club.
It is not a 'typical' Tenerife hotel and we were pleasantly surprised by its standards.
We both travel extensively with work and found this hotel to be of as high a standard as five star hotels in the UK and on par in terms of price.
It is fair to say that it is not really a 'tourist' style hotel but we are already planning our next visit as we were very impressed.
PS The view from the private Jacuzzi is stunning!
