Good budget hotel
Let's get this straight, the Zi Teresa is not a luxury hotel. It's clean, reasonably well maintained, and in a reasonable location 5 minutes walk from the main square. The staff are very friendly and helpful and it has everything you need. If you're not willing or able to spend top dollar on one of the 4 or 5* establishments in Sorrento this is a decent alternative.
Not so good
Recently came back from Sorrento, first time booking through a travel agent. Never again as they recommended this hotel. First off, let me say that the staff were very friendly, lovely people. The hotel lobby is quite nice when you enter and the rooms are fairly clean. However, the bar is not really available as the staff member on reception has to man the bar and you often feel as they you are putting them out by ordering. We certainly did not order more than one round. There is no room service or tea/coffee making facilities which... more
Fantastic!
We have just returned from 10 days in Sorrento staying at Zi Hotel Teresa. The staff were very friendly and helpful from day 1 through to day 10. The room was spotless and the food was excellent. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone. There is no swimming pool but there is so much to do in this area of Italy that we didn't really miss one.
Charming Hotel
We went to Sorrento 13-17 October 2006 having only booked a couple of days before through Lastminute.com. We checked out lots of reviews on the hotels available and settled on Zi Teresa. Following advice picked up from Tripadvisor we took the bus from the airport to the main square and the hotel was within easy walking distance and had a lovely welcoming look. The staff were always friendly and helpful and we ate breakfast and evening meals in the hotel every day and thought the food was nice and the menu varied. We walked to the... more
Excellent stay
Stayed here with my wife as first part of two centre holiday with Leger Holidays. Very impressed with all aspects of hotel - decor, reception, location, staff, room, although some of party had rooms on ground floor next to air con unit which was noisy. Only aspect less than good was the food which was edible but uninspiring.
great value at Zi Teresa
Friendly, helpful staff made our stay at Zi Teresa a pleasant experience. The recent renovations gave us a little taste of luxury after our usual cheap, small hotels in Italy. Any request was no trouble and staff were always obliging and aiming to please. We have already recommended this hotel to friends and colleagues. Check out the roof terrace for a great view.
Good value, friendly staff, clean rooms.
We recently came back from Sorrento and stayed six nights at the Hotel Zi Teresa. This is a very nice, recently renovated, 3 star hotel. Everyone was very friendly and it is only a 10-15 minute walk to the center of town. Europeans are much more energy conscience than Americans so, the drinks may not be ice cold, ice usually has to be asked for, and sometimes the air-conditioning is automatically turned off at certain times of the day. We stayed during a horrendous heat spell and were very comfortable in our rooms both at night... more
Second Time Around the best
I stayed here in September 2003 and returned in August 2004 to find a brand new hotel! What an amazing surprise. The room was very good with a great view of the sea. It is located at the end of the square and a 4 minute wald to the main Piazza. The staff remember us from the previous year. The breakfast is good and you even get the option to make your own Mimosa! They have a lift to the beach and from here you can walk to the shuttle service to Capri. If you go to Sorrento, there is much to walk around and see. However, it would be a... more
Zi Teresa Impeccably Restored
Zi Teresa was JUST restored and sparkles, especially all those fabulous new plumbing fixtures!! The rooftop terrace provides a splendid panoramic vista of Vesuvius, Capri and all the dreamy views. Loved the nearby soccer field which graced a prime spot overlooking the sea...which at least in America would contain some pricey hotel. Get a room with a sea view! If you keep a window open a bit through the gorgeous wooden shutters (no bugs), you can awaken there to the sounds of an erratic Italian rooster, as I did several mornings this past... more
Uncomfortable stay at Zi Teresa
We recently returned from a 2-week trip to Italy. The Hotel Zi Teresa in Sorrento was our only disappointment. They advertise air conditioning, yet use it intermittently. It is turned on every afternoon in the heat of the day when no one is there and then turned off at night. The first night was o.k. because it was cooler out. However, the second day it got very hot and that night there was no breeze, even though our room faced the ocean. We slept with the windows open and I awoke the next morning with bites all over my legs. Added to... more
