The Magris is in it's self a lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff who on the whole speak passable English. The rooms are clean and well equipped with comfortable beds, the only thing our group found them to be lacking was tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was typical for the continent consisting of bread, cakes, cold meats, fruit and yoghurts. However the overwhelming downside of this hotel is it's location.
The hotel is situated on a busy main road that is a great distance from the main tourist sites and restaurants. It is a good 20 minute walk from the train station dodging traffic, parked cars and rubbish. Also when you walk you have to not only run the gauntlet of the local prostitutes who ply their trade along this road but their potential clients who slow down to oggle and proposition any female dressed in anything but the most austere of clothing.
There are bus stops along the road but if you plan to be out late at night it is by far safer to use a taxi to return after dark. All told a nice hotel in a lousy location, not one I would recommend to anyone I liked!
