A well situated hotel and if you are fortunate enough to have a view of the mountain valley if not it's on the main road. It is a hotel ideally situated for those with young families who don't mind infants crying in the night (paper thin walls) or large family groups occupying the poolside.
Although it boasts a 4* restaurant it is geared to quantity rather than quality. Good hostel standard. We were often halfway through our evening meal before we were able to order wine. Desserts looked like an explosion in a custard factory. I compare with other 4* hotels on the lake. Nor was there opportunity for a lingering coffee and liqueurs it just wasn't available.
The bar upstairs had no ambience and was almost always deserted in the evenings. The quality of catering is a very weak point. All the stops were pulled out on Aug 15th, but this was an exception and not the norm. For example: single dishes of trout from the lake not available, rather rectangular sheets of beef or pork from catering packs.
Packed breakfasts (lunch buckets) were requested for 6am 16/8 the efficient reception staff wrote it in the diary but the food had not been prepared. We left the hotel at dawn foodless.
The small pool was near a busy roadside and was dominated by a children's play area, not ideally suited for quiet relaxation if you could find a space - we never could.
Standards of cleanliness were good and reception staff very helpful. Wellness facilities available if you required them.
