Luise Hotel

Just got back from a wonderful fortnights holiday in Hotel Luise Riva del Garda. The hotel was brilliant. We were a bit disappointed when booking not to get a balcony room - but we ended up with a lovely room at the back of the hotel overlooking the pool. We had 2 double beds and a large bathroom with bath and shower!! We heard from some other guests staying in superior rooms that they only had shower in bathroom so we felt quite lucky. All the staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly, in particular the bar staff and the waiters/waitresses in restaurant. We thought the food was great - some people were complaining that choice was limited but we certainly thought that there was something for everyone. Location of the hotel was great too - literally a 5 min walk into lovely Riva along the main road - or get away from the traffic and walk along the lakefront. Only one minor niggle - the air condiitioning in rooms was switched off on 15 Sep and it was still really warm. We had to leave the window open on a night and take our chance with the mossies!! I would certainly recommend this hotel and would definately use it again if we return to Riva!

Spent 8 nights here in July in a family room at the back of the hotel . Nice and quiet with good air conditioning (thank goodness!! - it was well in the 30s during our stay). Room nicely furnished with good bathroom overflowing with towels! Weather was stifling so grateful for nice pool. Our boys (10 & 13) also enjoyed the table football, table tennis and internet access . Good buffet breakfast and excellent buffet in the evening with something for everyone. Friendly and efficient staff who were most helpful. Riva is a lovely place and the Luise was just a short walk away from the centre. Excellent hotel for all the family.

I have just returned from a 7 night stay at this hotel, I was with my husband and 2 children, 12 and 8. We had a great time here, the hotel is lovely. I booked a double executive room, on their website they call it an Incanto room, it was very spacious, 2 queen beds and a dinning table for 4, fridge and large bathroom with a great shower. On arrival, we were given the choice of a room facing the pool or the road, surprisingly we took the one facing the road as it had a bigger balcony and had the sun all day, rooms facing the pool dont get the sun. Although trafic goes by, it has a lovely mountain view. The food was very good and the staff were excellent, they went out of their way to help at all times. The only thing I didn't like was the charge system they have. At the pool bar or restaurant everything is signed for and then paid at the end of the holiday, although it is convenient at the time, it can be a shock when you realise what you have signed for especially as the kids can sign for their own things too. My overall stay was super and I would recommend the hotel to others and if travelling to the area again I would return.

We have just spent a week at Hotel Luise with our 2 young children and had a fantastic time. The hotel was immaculate and chic with an interesting selection of artistic pieces displayed in the foyer. The food was of high quality (very important to us !) and the evening buffet was exceptionally good - something to suit everyone, even the children! The restaurant staff were friendly and efficient. The pool was a good size and a welcome respite from the scorching weather during our stay. There's a shallow section for the children to play in and plenty of sun beds and towels. There is also a children's mini club, which is basically a large playroom with a play co-ordinator. Our children loved it. They were given free club t-shirts! Our room was a triple room, with an extra bed. It was quite roomy and, although at the front of the hotel, there was no problem with traffic noise from the road, although we didn't have the window open because the air conditioning was on. The bathroom was very clean, but only had a shower - a bath would have been nice too! Just one minor problem, we did expect to have a balcony as we had specified it at the time of booking, but there wasn't a room with balcony available when we checked in. We didn't book directly with the hotel, so I'm not sure where that went wrong. The hotel has a good location, 10 mins walk to town centre, 5mins walk to the beach. We would definitely stay there again if we return to Riva.

Stayed 3 nights in a triple room. Hotel is very clean, comfortable and modern. Breakfast was FANTASTIC. Great location, friendly staff. We had a room in the back with a beautiful view of the mountains and large balcony. The only noise was from the 2 children staying next door who liked to race down the hall, slam doors and stand on their balcony and scream. Bike storage was secure and convenient. Would highly recommend and would stay there again!

We stayed in the Luise for four nights with our 5-months-old son. The first night we had (booked) a regular room which was very clean but very, very small (and quite oldfashioned)!We had read this somewhere here and had therefore booked a junior suite - the Terrazza - for the rest of the nights (it was not free before). The suite was just perfect with a huge veranda and everything was very modern. The staff of the hotel were very friendly, the food was very, very good, the pool is a nice pool with enough beds for a full hotel, the location is good - a ten minute walk to the city center. Good hotel also for couples with baby. We would always return but not the lowest catory room (which is fairly expensive regarding size and standard)

We have just returned from staying at this hotel. We found it spotlessly clean friendly staff who always had a smile and the food was brilliant. The towels and pillowcases were changed every day and bedding three times a week. We had a super king size bed which was quite a surprise and a huge shower. We upgraded our room after reading some of your reviews thinking we would be at the back of the hotel,but we were put on a higher floor in the front although it was on the main road the soundproofing was brilliant and we did have a lake view and the sun all day where as being at the back it was always in the shade.We travelled with Inghams who were first class and there rep in result Lorna was brilliant she helped make our holiday a holiday to remember. There is plenty to do and see in Riva and surrounding area would certainly reccommend Riva and certainly this hotel we shall certainly return.

An excellent hotel, but better to stay in a back room because of road noise. The staff were excllent. However, the meals are all buffet, there is no waiter service, as stated in some brochures. Also the dinner menu is extremely restricted - only two items in the main course and little choice of puddings. I had to insist on a wine list being produced, as I was buying a pig in a poke!!!

The hotel is less than 10 minutes from the main resort which is great with a choice of restaurants and bars. The hotel was excellent and the staff were brilliant and the food is out of this world... It was that good I'm going back next year

we are just back from a 2 day stay at this hotel. This hotel is in a good location a nice walk into the centre of Riva. The staff are very plesant and extremetly efficient. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was excellent as was the breakfast. The hotel is nicely decorated and it has a very nice pool area. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to be in a nice hotel with lovely staff who go out of their way to be helpful.
