Can't wait till June 2007
from jaysoldman
Stayed at the Villas del Sol in June 2006 for 1 week. Didn't pay a lot for this holiday and wasn't expecting too much. Our little boy had just turned 1 and his first trip abroad. I'm glad I went not expecting much as it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable holidays we've had. The apartments were basic enough but spotlessly clean. The pool area was excellent and clean also. Hosts Vincent and Anjelica are two of the most pleasent people you will come across. Our flight times were poor and arrived at the Villas at 3 in the morning. After a long day they must have had they were sitting waiting on us and made us feel very welcoming. They sat with us for an hour having a drink and chatting. Even with Jay being only 1 and just walking we could leave him wandering around the lobby knowing the staff were always wanting to play with him. Gave us some time to relax on our own by the pool knowing he was in very good hands. The food was excellent in the apartments and you don't really have to leave. The evening entertainment is geared towards the kids and was good fun with the adults not getting left out. All in all can't wait to go back this June. Again the price is very reasonable.
very family friendly

Stayed for 2 weeks in July overall really enjoyed holiday Small Complex on the outskirts of town in village called siesta. Room: Rooms were fine, clean and quite spacious ( not very modern, no air con is very bad). 1 bedroom ( 2 single beds very hard) small cooking area, table 4 chairs and sofa bed. Terrace with 3 sun beds table and 3 chairs very nice . Dinning Food at resturant was tasty with good varitey, wine and cocktails were lovely to. You can dine on your balcony or your terrace if preferred. very reasonably priced. Pool Area 2 pools were nice, our bottom floor appartment was beside the pool very handy. We were able to sunbath on our terrace and go for a dip while always watching for our 3 year old son who was in bed sleeping or watching DVD during the strong sun hours, very save complex. Location was 10 mins Taxi out of town, 20mins walk down hill, not so nice walking back up with pram and the hot air. only downside. Overview: entertainment at complex was outstanding, great for kids staff were great, friendly & very attentive Beach 20mins walk away very beautiful resturants in town fantastic (the indian was best ever) Have to state: very quiet in town no bars or clubs just resturants and shops lovely for young families ( babies, toodlers) or people looking to relax, not a great lot for kids to do in town no adventure play parks or amusements. Great value holiday stayed 2 weeks July 06 with Partner & child flying from belfast with Direct holidays (who are brill) for 800.00 pounds bargin I think!

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Villas del sol, in Ibiza. The room we stayed in was a one bedroom apartment, with a bed settee in the living area, with a pull out bed underneath. The kitchen/living area has a fan installed, but the bedroom has no fan or air conditioning installed, this is the one downside of the accommodation. You can hire a fan for 15 euro's a week, but we bought one for the same cost. The staff at the villas del sol are all very friendly and helpful, they all work so hard to make your holiday an enjoyable one. The food served, is value for money and well prepared. There is no entertainment during the day, but there is entertainment at night. We would definately return.

Well what more can i say than 100%! We stayed in the "villas" for a week in July and it just wasnt long enough! The hosts Angelica and Vincent are so welcoming and work very hard with the kids entertainment/bar at night and have time to talk to everyone and are on hand to advise you were to sight see etc! It is set in the Siesta area of Santa Eulaia and is so quiet at night ..there isnt a sound! Added bonus aswell the bar at the apartments stays open some mornings until around 4am!! Dont panic, i can assure you that you cant hear a thing in your room from the bar! Your about a 10minute walk to the beach in Santa Eulalia and about 15minutes back up again. But to be quite truthful we only went once because we were quite content at the poolside! Though the beach is worth the visit as its spotless! The food was what you would normally expect pizza, english breakfast. lasange, kiddies meal etc and all very reasonably priced. We ate there most days for breakfast/lunch. Top tip: if you cross the main road from the villas del sol and go through apartments along a long path get to the end of it and turn right and then take the next street on the left there is a gorgeous little German restaurant called the "Samovor" the staff are very friendly and its only 5minutes from the villas if you fancy somewhere different.(theres also a spar supmarket beside it) The rooms are basic but for all that we paid we were pleasntly surprised! They were perfect for all that you wanted and the maids are round every couple of days to clean. Tip them a few euro they are very friendly and do a fantastic job! We were put into a 1 bedroomed apartment downstairs beside the restaurant though it would of been like a fish bowl! So we asked to get moved and without any bother Vincent moved us to a studio instead. Def go for one of these if there is only 2 of you as there is no air con in the rooms and there was more air flow in them! Id actually say that is the only downfall if you dont like the heat there isnt any air con. We are hoping to return to the Villas again next month for another week and are def booking again for next summer but this time for 2 weeks!
Value For Money

I quite liked this wee place. My only slight problem with it was the fact there was no air con. But you cant have everything. It was about a 10 minute downhill walk to the Beach, with a return uphill trip that could get very hard going in the evening heat. Overall a nice wee place to get away from the hustle and bustle . Oh and if you get the chance get the boat to Formentera :-)
Pleasant apartments in Siesta
from Kevin1958
We have many good things to say about these very pleasant apartments, but they might not suit everyone. The apartments are situated on the outskirts of the small but charming Siesta. It is on a steep slope and there is some small scale building work opposite the Hotel but this was not a problem. The apartments themselves are well equipped and spotlessly clean. The bathrooms are on the small side, but adequate. If you have children over about 7-8 years old they may not be comfortable on the sofa beds, which are very poor. There are a small number of two bedroom apartments which we would recommend if your children are older. There are four pools situated in the middle of the complex, and the area around the pools is very pleasant with Bouganvilla growing in abundance up the walls. If you have very young children you will struggle to find a nicer or safer environment. The ground floor apartments are in some cases only a few steps away from the pools and plenty of shade can be found. The complex was fairly quiet when we visited, but may get crowded in high season. The reception area is a bar / eating area / kitchen /entertainment area and as such fulfills neither of these roles particularly well, but there is plenty on offer if you like pool, video consoles, or watching TV. The food and drink is good and very reasonably priced, although we did go out most evenings. Your hosts, Vincent and Angelica, could not be more helpful and you will be very well looked after. Nothing is too much trouble and this does make a difference. They also provide the evening entertainment. This is literally every evening, and even if only a few people attend the show will go on. We think that it might be better to have the entertainment on two or three nights a week and make it more of an "occasion". The noise will continue unitl midnight on most evenings. There are good bars and restaurants in Siesta and more especially in Santa Eularia, but be aware that it is a long and steep walk back up from the beaches - a good 15 minutes when loaded with beach equipment. These apartments may suit you if you have very young children and don't want the hassle of walking everywhere, or if you are an older couple looking for a relaxing break. They may not suit you if have older teenagers or if you want to be close to the centre of Santa Eulalia. Overall, they represent very good value for money, and have the nicest hosts we have met in our many trips to Ibiza.
A lovely apartment complex
from Michelle22
We were moved from the horrible Cala Martina Apartments in S'Argmassa to these lovely apartments and were we glad. Basic but nice, clean and comfortable apartments. The staff were really helpful and and were brilliant with the kids. The normal evening entertainment consisting of kids disco, karaoke a hilarious game of bingo was ok. The only negative point i can think of was the location, a 20 minute walk downhill to the beach, bars and restaurants, although we eat most evenings in the restaurant in the on site, the food was very good. All in all we had a really great holiday, plus the weather was fantastic.
Loved Siesta

Our second visit to these apartments in sixteen months. This time we noticed a lot of noise from the road, possibly because we were downstairs. The walls of the downstairs apartments are very thin near the internal door to next apartment.Everything very clean and staff great. The walk into Santa Eulalia is an easy 25 minute stroll. The Spanish and German restaurants close by are very good value with excellent service. There is entertainment on site and the staff all work hard to make it work.We will return sometime because overall we think it is a good place to spend a relaxing holiday.
Enjoyed but would not return

Just returned from the Villas Del Sol, Ibiza, Spain.(Sept,2005). Although the address is given as Santa Eualia it is in fact in an area called La Siesta situated on a hillside overlooking Santa Eualia. It takes a steady downhill walk of approx 20 minutes to reach the centre and beaches of Santa Eualia. The complex of Villas Del Sol consists of Studio, 1 Bed & 2 Bed apartments surrounding 1 large pool and 2 smaller pools. The apartments are two storied with ground floor apartments accessing the complex via patio doors. However, the patio doors can only be locked from inside so for security access would be via the front door. All front doors face either the main road or the slightly quieter side road. Reception is off the side road. All ground floor apartments have connecting doors with the apartment next dor i.e. 23 joins 25. ( Odd numbers on the ground floor, even numbers on the upper floor) Upper apartment balconies have access to the flat roof via a metal spiral staircase. (one off each balcony) The studio block is inside the complex. First impressions of the complex are good with excellant staff, good food available in the restaurant and good pool areas. However, noise from the road is bad. it's a busy road and traffic noise is considerable plus a street cleaning vehicle and bin men arrive at approx 4am every morning. Entry to the apartments via patio doors would be simple as is access to the complex itself. Also, although there are a few bars and restaurants in La Siesta, the main bars etc are in Santa Eualia.
Pretty Apartment Complex, 10 min walk from the Beach
from mezz
These apartments are in a more residential area of Santa Eulalia about 10 minutes walk uphill from the main beach area. We were pleasantly surprised with the complex which is very pretty with Bougainvilla growing over the balconies. We went out of season so it was quite quiet and very relaxing as only 9 apartments were being used out of about 40. If you don't have children with you, ask for an top floor apartment which also has a spiral staircase leading up from the balcony onto the roof.(though it's not for anyone with vertigo!) If you are taking children ask for an apartment on the ground floor and you will be a couple of steps away from 2 childrens pools. The apartments (we had a One bedroom) are average size with Microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge 2 cooker rings and sofa bed in the lounge area. cleaning is done 3 times a week and the apartments themselves were very clean. There is a Restaurant serving food and snacks all day in the complex and, food is good and reasonably priced. The only thing we were not impressed with was the hot water tank in the bathroom, as the hot water ran out after one person had showered! The complex is run by a very nice Spanish couple, Vincent & Angelica, who work very hard entertaining everyone, doing the cooking and running the Bar. They were very accomodating after we asked to move apartments as we were right next to the childrens pool area, (we have no young children we wanted a relaxing, child free holiday) The main pool area is nice with plenty of Sun beds and umbrellas, there is also a nice view of the hillside. There is entertainment in the bar most nights, but we prefered to go into Santa Eulalia in the evenings and go back to Bar in the complex afterwards. There is also a very good Spanish Restaurant about 200 meters from the Villas Del Sol opposite the Supermarket. I would definitely go back to these apartments, but only out of season, I think it would be very busy in the Summer months when they get fully booked.
My husband and I booked a 10 day break at the Villa del Sol as we prefer the freedom to do as we please. We are both in our 50s and fairly fit - and we needed to be! The apartments in late Septemeber are nearly shutting down - 10 days to go according to Vincenze the lovely... more
