The Villas Del Sol were in a quiet area of Siesta about 20 minutes out of Santa Eulalia up a slight incline.
They were fine if you had children with you but could be a bit noisy if you were just a couple wanting peace and quiet.
The apartments themselves were a bit dated and if you are on the bottom floor the noise from the high heel wearers above is no joke when they go out at midnight and get in around seven in morning.
We went on last minute holiday as my daughter and family were there. The two grandchildren had a great time and there is something on for the kids practically every night albeit sometimes corny.
Would return to Sieata area but not those apartments.

The Spanish couple that work at this resort are lovely - would do anything to help. Entertainment in the evening is fantastic & hilarious, yes it can go on to late sometimes but it's just adds to the fun of the holiday. Children are well entertained with fun & games, and teenagers want to enjoy themselves on holiday too - who wants to go to bed early on holiday?!
Plenty of good restaurants and bakeries with fresh bread. 15 min stroll down to Santa Eulalia which has a restaurant for every night of your holiday scattered along the pretty promenade. Town centre shops open till late.
Downsides - no air con, salty tap water (use bottled even for brushing teeth), oh & watch out for the stairs by the pool - they can be slippery! I should know!
Would recommend this to most people especially families.

What a great place to stay if you don’t want an early night! And let’s face it who does when you are on holiday.
The apartments were basic but clean and served the purpose of why they were booked. The tuneful Vincent is pure entertainment on his own and keeps who ever is interested on there toes. Angelica is always polite and helpful and they put some hours in between them.
The noise from the bin cart in the morning is a bit of a wake up call but you soon doze off again. The teenagers gather round the various pool tables and were well behaved.
As for the families singing songs we had a great time but if we were asked to be a bit quieter we would have obliged.
All in all it is a great place to stay but expect a bit of noise up to 12.30am.

This was the worst holiday I have ever had. The noise levels at night are appalling. This is due mainly to the nightly entertainment provided by Vincent. It starts at 9.00 pm and goes on supposedly until midnight. Forget that, you will still be listening to him at 1.30 in the morning whilst you are in bed trying to sleep, forget it. Once Vincent has finished and gone home, then even more fun begins. In August, during the holidays, children and teenagers were allowed to stay up outside until they wanted, and to do whatever they wanted, loudly and unsupervised.
Once Vincent has finished and gone home, the place turns into a prison that is being run by the inmates. There is no supervision by parents, representatives or hotel management. One night we were treated to Gaelic folk songs from one drunken family for hours on end. Who would be brave enough to go and interfere with that? Apart from this, which entirely spoilt our holiday, yes entirely, the complex is nice and clean and the staff (including the tuneful Vincent) are helpful.
The resort is lovely and I would return again, but never to these apartments. Even when the school holidays are over, Vincent is still there and he entertains every night, even when there's hardly anyone there.
If you must go, make up for it with an ice-cream at the fantastic gelateria by marina and a cocktail. I have had the best caiprinhas ever in Santa Eulalia, even better than Rio, and that's saying something!

My husband and I booked a 10 day break at the Villa del Sol as we prefer the freedom to do as we please. We are both in our 50s and fairly fit - and we needed to be! The apartments in late Septemeber are nearly shutting down - 10 days to go according to Vincenze the lovely manager. The down sides were that the apartment we had was very bare in the utensils it provided and could have done with a moderate amount of maintenance, especially in the bathroom. It was very noisy as a local cockrell kicked off at bang on 4am every morning and carried on until around 8am. This set the local dogs off- and there were lot's of them. A note to the wise, when walking into Santa Eulalia keep one eye on the pavement as the amount of dog turds boobytrapping the way is a constant source of nuisance. The 15 - 20 minute walk into Santa Eulalia is fine going in - or down - but takes longer coming back as it is uphill all the way - approximately a 1:3 - 1:5 incline - and fit as we are we gave up after 6 days of doing this twice a day as the cramp and backache were no longer funny. The apartments are not for the faint hearted or for people with mobility difficulties We were only 2 of about 6 people staying at the apartments - we had a young Spanish lad and his 2 freinds in the apartment next to us. However we had the pool all to ourselves for 3 days. We were quite glad to come home for decent nights sleep without being bitten to death by bugs and woken at 4am every morning.
