Submitted By: Other Trev & Pam SteeleSerkan and his family really push the boat out when it comes to looking after you. Food and accomodation is excellent, pool kept pristine and with Serkans dad in the bar, it never closes. Many late nights were spent chatting with other residents about the days events, and with Serkan on hand, these were easily booked and very cheap.
Second holiday we E-mailed Serkan and booked flight only. He had us picked up at the airport and straight to hotel. Same on outward journey, and all in the price!
If you want looking after, this is definately the place to stay.
Trips were easily booked through the hotel and were excellent value. The Bus to city cheap and the markets a fantastic experience. Food in the town was really good with plenty of variety, and the town felt comfortable and safe. Locals are really into having a laugh with tourists, and are friendly and courteous.
My rating out of 100 for Hotel Everest.........110 !!!

Submitted By: millers1966The hotel is great, clean and the staff are friendly pool is cleaned daily and Serkan can organise all your trips with a phone, call cutting out the operators.
Weather is a little cooler than Olu Deniz cos there is a mountain breeze but do not be fooled by this as you can still be roasted.
I can recommend this hotel as a good base for exploring the delights of Turkey.

Submitted By: Mr D ParkesSerkan and his family cannot do enough for you, At first I was against going to Turkey but decided to give it a go. We booked through Serkan and he dealt with all transfers to and from the hotel.
Anybody who goes here and does not enjoy the company of Serkan and his family and enjoy the Turkish way of life, the beautiful surroundings, and the hustle and bustle of the town need a good shake as we totally enjoyed our three holidays there.

Submitted By: Mr W HoeyAll the guests seem to be revisiting for a number of years. Go on give it a try! Turkey and its people are great. Restaurant beside the pool; fruit trees in the gardens; peaceful area and only a short walk to the centre of town or a short bus/taxi ride away.
Want to hire a car ask at the reception, want to go on a boat ride ask at reception, whatever you need they will help you get it, I know we will be back next year to this hotel.

Submitted By: Mr W HoeyNot only did we have a great holiday but we now have a convert to holidays in Turkey. The family who own this hotel are attentive and friendly without being intrusive, ask for and they will help with any problem you may have, it is their wish you should enjoy your holiday.
This is not an expensive holiday destination but it is a beautiful Country nearly as good as Ireland. Thank you to the whole family.

Submitted By: Mr E RichardsonThe hotel is well situated away from the hustle and bustle of Hisonarou which is only a 10 minute walk away. Also if you want to get about to other resorts you can use the dolmus (small bus) which will pick you up anywhere along the bus route and it is very cheap to use. Susan and I had the Turkish breakfast every day with tea or coffee and not once did we feel poorly.
We would certainly go back to the Everest and not think twice about taking our daughter her husband and the 2 grandsons with us.

Submitted By: Mrs J AchesonGreat place to stay, can't wait until next year. Nothing is too much trouble for Serkan, he can sort out trips for you and car rental if you wish to travel under your own steam. Everest is a small, comfy place to stay just outside the village, but close enough for shopping, eating and socializing if you wish.
The food at the hotel is of a good standard and is always served with a smile. It is a lovely place for a relaxing family holiday.

Submitted By: Mrs J AchesonI and my family and friends have never had any problems connected with the food and drink at the hotel. It is a lovely place to stay and a good base to visit the sites in turkey from.
If you don’t like large complexes and don’t want anything fancy or expensive it is an ideal place to stay. We are going again in may 2006 and we cant wait!

Submitted By: Miss B S GristWe had the eggs and tea every day for breakfast and they were just great no problem at all. I thought it was common sense not to drink local tap water but buy the bottle ones.
The family who run the hotel can't do enough for you and if you want something cooked that isn't on the menu they will always do it for you. The menu is basic but are reasonable in price a few pounds for the main meal that’s all.
The hotel is out the way a bit which is nice as you don't have all the noise from the bar in Hisaronu and there is always space around the pool unlike some over crowed ones. Hisaronu is only a short walk away for shopping and the bar etc at night, to hot to walk during the day.
The courtesy room is small but it only to have a shower and get changed before your transfer not to stay in for the whole day.
Best holiday we have had and you only have to read the other guest comment in there book to see that loads of others think the same.

Submitted By: DeanneTurkey is a wonderful place to be and the people are amazingly friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a nice place to eat, I would recommend "The Sun Trap" restaurant at the bottom of the town. An absolute must is a safari, especially if you go with "Explora", they're slightly more expensive than some of the other local companies but it is well worth it, a special word of thanks to the manager Ahmed and our gorgeous guide Yusuf, and of course his fantastic crew, our 12 hour day-trip was not only informative but jam-packed with fun and suitable for all ages. Thanks guys!! As Arnie says, "I will be back"!!!!!!
The Everest is a family run business in Ovacik, the rooms are basic but aesthetically pleasing. Rooms are cleaned daily, towels and linen are changed every two days. The pool is a fresh-water pool which is refilled daily. Self-catering is definitely the way to go, but do not rely on anything more than a kettle and a table-top electric ring, & I mean just one ring!! Meals are available all day but are quite expensive. What ever you do, do not touch the eggs, tap water or the tea/ coffee. Beverages are made with their tap water and will give you the runs. The apple tea is delicious and will convert even the staunchest of coffee drinkers. I know all of this because I ended up hospitalised in Fethiye on my last day with severe food poisoning due to having eating an omelette the night before. In fact, my entire family spent the week after our holiday recovering from the effects of having eaten our last few meals of the trip at the Everest!
The staff are friendly as well as flexible and always helpful, the manager appears to be genuinely friendly until you complain or challenge him about something. They advertise a courtesy room for the last day of your trip at a cost of £6 but what they don't tell you is that it is not the room that you have spent your holiday in, but in fact a very tiny, stuffy 2 bed room right over the bar/kitchen, not very helpful if you are travelling as a family of 4 like we were, the kids just could not stick the heat or the sickly sweet smell of the kitchen.
As I have previously said, this was easily the best holiday I have ever had, and I have travelled all around Europe, needless to say, we will be going back to Turkey but not to the Everest Apart-hotel.

We had a fabulous two week holiday at Everest Hotel, we stayed in an apartment, which had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The swimming pool area is immaculate, and there are plenty of sunbeds and parasols if you want a shady spot (essential in July!). The bar area is next to the pool and there is a great selection of drinks, snacks and meals on offer. There is also a shaded lounge area with a TV/DVD so you can relax out the sunshine when it gets too hot. Table football and pool are also available free of charge.
Serkan and his lovely family are so helpful and friendly. It is very much like you are staying with good family or friends, as they are always on hand to help, and Serkan's gorgeous little boy can often be seen having fun in the swimming pool!
The hotel is surrounded by picturesque mountains, and this keeps the area cooler than in the town or at the beach (Olu Deniz).
The nearby areas of Ovacik and Hisaronu are only about a 10 minute stroll away, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from, also plenty of shops for buying your souvenirs etc.
Hisaronu Market day is Monday, and that is quite a fun experience!
You can get further afield on the 'Dolmus' buses which you can pick up anywhere on the main road, and they can take you to Olu Deniz Beach or Fetihye. They are very easy to use. Taxis are also always available in the town but we quite enjoyed the walk back to the hotel each evening after our meal in the town.
We would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday without all the rowdy holidaymakers around the poolside.
We will definitely visit again and would give the hotel 10/10, there are no problems at all with a holiday at Everest Hotel.
Advice: Plenty of restaurants, bars and shops
Activities: Boat Trip and Scuba Diving
Good for: Beach
