Lassi Hotel Reviews
" The hotel was lovely. The room was... "

The hotel was lovely. The room was clean and looked like it had recently been decorated. The whole hotel looked freshly painted. We had a sea view which was a nice surprise. The breakfast was fine with a choice of crossiants, bread, jams, omlettes and fried eggs. The only fault was in the bathroom the shower curtain did not quite cover the area so the result was usually a soaking wet floor. We found a lovely cove and usually had it to ourselves right in front of the hotel. The swimming pool at the hotel was quiet and no-one reserved a sunbed with their towel, unlike numerous places i've stayed in. Restaurants were just a short walk away and there were plenty to choose from. We really enjoyed our week at this hotel.

Lassi hotel looks brand new having been recently refurbished; the whole place is spotless.
Yes the continental breakfasts are basic however they can be augmented by ordering from a menu.
Air-conditioning costs an additional 40 Euros per week, there is a safe-deposit box in the room plus a fridge also requiring a small payment.
The hotel is 15 minutes from two small, quiet beaches and from a dozen or so decent -to - good restaurants on the main street.
Only 10 minutes away there is a supermarket staffed by very friendly, English-speaking people ( in fact almost everyone we met spoke pretty good English).
The larger beaches are roughly 20 to 30 minutes walk in the heat and the town of Argostoli is a 5 euro taxi ride away or an easy 15 minute walk (once the sun has set)
Argostoli is a thriving, bustling town especially in the evenings with plenty of restaurants (try the Indian Restaurant).
2 sunbeds and an umbrella cost roughly 8 Euros per day (or part of) so it may be cost effective to purchase your own.
To see the island (other than using the tour companies) you will need to hire a car and
if your partner suffers from a nervous disposition or vertigo then take plenty of tranquillisers for them and recall the TV. series "The A-Team": "Hey,sucka, I ain't gettin in no hire car wit you, crazy fool!" "Here, drink some milk.”
For the first week of July Lassi was awash with English folk with an average age of 65 however by the second week the average age had dropped to 30 and there were more nationalities present.

Hotel was fine for what we paid. We were lucky enough to have an amazing view of the sea and bay.
Lots of choice for breakfast, optional English breakfast for extra charge. Be aware if your planning to cook, there is only a kettle and fridge in your room, we ate out apart from breakfast.
Room was clean and maid came in everyday too. In fact the whole hotel felt clean. The pool was good too.
It was also in a brilliant position for walking up a small hill to Lassi centre. Quite a walk to the most popular beaches, but I enjoyed this flat walk.
Hotel has a really friendly feel amongst the guests and staff, although at 20 years old we were definitely the youngest. Oh there is a nice man from Manchester who works behind the bar, very random!

Kefalonia is a beautiful island, very green and peaceful. Even in mid August it is not busy! Lassi Hotel is an excellent base to explore the island, only a twenty-minute walk from Argostoli if you take the main road ( more like 2 hours if you take the coastal road!) <br>
