Irinna Hotel

We stayed here for a night at the end of our holiday as our flight was subject to an overnight delay. To be fair to the place it doesn't either market or price itself as being a luxury destination but if you are thinking of staying there for a holiday you should be aware that it is directly under the flightpath as planes land in the nearby airport. It is VERY noisy when they come in to land and flights come in early and throughout the morning and evening. The hotel and rooms are also looking tired and out of date. Our room was damp and actually cold despite it having been a very hot day, and the furniture and facilities were very basic. The electrics were also dodgy (one light switch was hanging off the wall) which is a major worry if you have children with you. I don't think the local beaches are that suitable for kids either, although the outdoor areas around the hotel seemed ok. The staff were friendly enough and did their best to help but if you add in to the above that the food is also poor I would try your luck in nearly Lassi or Argostoli even for an overnight stay near the airport and definitely wouldn't recommend this place for a holiday.
