Tigaki's Star Hotel Reviews
" The hotel is located in a very... "

The hotel is located in a very peaceful, tranquil & relaxing surroundings & not far from the main resturants & beaches. The gardens are all maintained well & pretty colourful flowers in bloom on the trees make this location an ideal spot for those seeking tranquility. The pool was wonderfully big & warm. Prices at the snack bar were quite reasonable & good value for money.
Breakfast on morning is as described: cereals, bread with variety of choices of jams. There were sliced cheese & ham, sliced tomato, cakes, boiled eggs, choice of cold diluted juices & hot drinks of tea/coffee or peppermint tea/hot chocolate, fresh fruit & yoghurt with honey. It was a buffet so you can help yourself.
The accommodation was lovely especially when you got airconditioning in the hot season which was essesential. A large wardrobe to accomodate all your clothes & plenty of coat hangers. Had free hairdryers & a dressing table which was useful. The showers were nice & hot.
Staff at the hotel were helpful & friendly. They do special requests in advance, we had one for our anniversary. It was wonderfully thought out & presented well.
This hotel is the best we have ever stayed in because of the location, gardens, pool, views & natural beauty. It is nice & peaceful.
Kos is lovely & flat. We hired bicycles to explore the surrounding areas at a nice price. We hired bikes from a company which the hotel staff recommend & had a good deal. We paid 20 euros each for 7days. We cycled to Kos Town & to the beaches. Take some cycling shorts if you are planning a long ride to Kos Town (12km) to prevent saddle soreness.
We went to Zia mountain to see the sunset (a must if you want a romantic scene to watch sunset & see stunning views of Tigaki & Kos). Went on an excursion to Turkey Bodrum by the hydrofoil (dont 4get passports for this trip). We recommend taking the Hydrofoil takes only 20mins. The other boats take longer, over an hour to get there.
Tigaki is a lovely spot for romantic days/evenings watching the sunsets, relaxation by the pool/beaches within quiet surroundings. . Nightlife is not too quiet & not too noisey.
There are not many Brits who stay at the Tigaki Star. This CAN actually be a bonus if you want peace & quiet ;-D lol
Most people who stay there SEEM to be Germans & they are rather quiet & keep themselves to themselves, not very chatty but like I say, if you want peace & quiet then this is perfect :-)
Overall this was an excellent holiday & I would recommend the hotel and the resort which is pretty much unspoilt.
By the way, for anyone who is interested, there is a large naturist beach nearby for those of you who are into that ;-)

I cannot tell you what a laugh we had in Tigaki! The people are wonderful, so hospitable, and welcoming and really try their upmost to make sure you're having fun!
We (2 girls age 27 and 30) stayed at the Tigaki Star which is a lovely, well-maintained hotel just off the main road with a fantastic pool!
I would definitely recommend staying there, it's simple but clean and pretty, and the pool and pool bar are great.
It's not a mad resort but there's certainly a good selection of bars to keep you entertained. Our favourite was Memories, a bar/disco with feel-good/cheesy music. The guys who own it Stamatis, Giorgos, and Michael are fantastic, so friendly so I would really really recommend you go there (and if you do tell them Lucy says 'hi').
Tigaki has something for everyone. It's offers the best of both worlds, quiet lazy days and really fun crazy (if you want) nights. It's not tacky though, nothing like Kardamena (no offense to those of you who like it there).
But anyway, we loved it and had the time of our lives!! Have fun!

We have been going to Tingaki for over ten years now & have not got a bad word to say about it, we have had the most wonderful holidays here, the locals are so friendly towards old & new customer's.lots of lovely tavernas to eat our favourite is the Dana on the sea front, the food is great and the service is second to none it is run by two brothers & we love them to bits. also like the breakfast at Menni beach, again good food and service.the place to go to book any trips is Theokritos Travel this is run and owned by Louise & Nikos who will do anything to help, the enthusiasm & commitment they and their staff give to the customers is very welcoming Thank you Louise. you cannot come to Kos without a visit or two to the margarita cafe bar run by Lefty & his wife they are both wonderful people so friendly welcoming & so very funny they do lovely breakfasts & snacks in the afternoon & evening the bar is open until the last customer leaves which can be three in the morning. lefty gives his all to make sure his customers are happy new & old. we have had lots of happy times in this Bar made some good friends over the years. you can find Lefty on the road out of Tingaki just passed the big supermarket just up from the Sunset Hotel.
