" BASICALLY PEACEFUL "

The hotel is situated in a very quiet area around a 30 walk from the Port up hill (not too bad). The room we stayed in (room 21) is not a studio which we were led to believe, but just a room. The room had all the bits one would need and more, especially for Greece, like a mini fridge and air con (no extra charge which is not a norm), TV with some sky channels. Apart from that, our balcony was tiny and the room basic(but very clean). The owners are very pleasant and dont get in your face and basically let you enjoy your holiday without hassling you. Breakfast, again very basic with cereal, toast, fruit and eggs, juice, coffee tea etc. The pool is lovely although small, has around 16 beds around it, some at a squeeze. Noone around when we were there. Views are spectacular. One thing though, which I feel IMPORTANT to mention. When we looked on the internet the hotel was listed as either a 4 or 5 star - this is certainly not the case. The hotel itself lists itself as a 2 star plus which I feel is more than fair, but when we were looking, part of the price agreed (70 Euros per night, per room) was on the basis that it was a 4 star apartment, when we got a 2 star plus room!

Advice: Poros itself is a very sleepy kind of town and great for relaxing. Its not the type of place where

" excellent hotel, excellent resort "

We stayed at the Oceanis hotel for 7 nights. We had been to Poros on day trips when holidaying on the island, this was the 1st time we had stayed in the resort. We stayed in the new part of the hotel, the room was 1st class, the view from the balcny fabulous.The breakfast was buffet style, typically Greek, and perectly adequate to start the day.
It is a family run hotel, we found the staff very friendly,the room was allways clean and fresh with regular towels/linen changes. The highest compiment i can pay the hotel is that my wife was happy and she sets high standards !!
We ate at several restaurants in Poros, and were did not have a bad meal all week.
Poros itself is a very relaxed resort, the absence of British tour operators mean the beaches were uncrowded during our stay, the holidaymakers were mainly greek with a few europeans includin English.The light in Poros absolutely sparkles and we had a truly wonderfull week
So good we are back there this June

Advice: A lovely relaxing resort, uncrowded beaches, good food and very Greek

Activities: Excellent base for exploring the south of the island.

Good for: Beach
